Very Vintage

IMG_7741 (Medium)IMG_7740 (Medium)I can’t remember at all what company brought out these papers, and I was actually very surprised to see them in the group we are working our way through! I would imagine it was a collection that came out just after christmas when life was hugely busy and i bought without paying too much attention! anyway i obviuosly made a couple of quick cards with it before I filed it away, and I am sure we will see it again at a future date!!Simple cards, with inked edges ,lace and ribbon.( and a bit of fussy cutting). It is horrendously humid here today and there will be no sitting in the craft room. I have spent some time working on the family tree, and I am at apoint where I have to confer with dad, so that is where I will be this afternoon – besides they have refridgerated air conditioning which is not affected by humidity like our unit is! Two more stampin up Botanical blooms

IMG_7735 (Medium)IMG_7736 (Medium)Here are another two pinterest inspired stampin up botanical blooms cards. These creations in their original form can be found on my stampin up pinterest board. On both cards the dies , papers, and stamps are from stampin up, from their botanical blooms range. The bakers twine on the bottom card is also stampin up, the hessian strip on the bottom card is by Green Tara, and I added black ribbon to the top card – speaking of which after the photo was taken I fixed the excess amount of glue on the sequins – a big clue as to when I made these ones – on a very hot day when the glue ran very freely! After making these three card and getting a feel for the set I went out on my own and came up with some of my own designs which are waiting to be photoed, so we will see them at a later date! The tip I have for these die cut flowers is to sponge ink in the centre to give them shading ( it makes a huge difference) and to shape the petals before sticking to the card.Today is a village lesson, so I am off now to pack my box of supplies and remind myseld of what we are actually doing! Last months village lesson part 2..

IMG_7713 (Medium)IMG_7715 (Medium)As promised, here are the other two cards the ladies made last lesson over at the village. The focus was on die cutting, and the dies we used were Kaisercraft dies. For the top card the daisy die was cut twice – once on green cardstock and once on patterned paper, then we cut the flowers from the patterned paper and stuck them on the green cardstock.A doily die was used for under the flower. I always try and sneak in a male themed card, which is the bottom card.Again kaisercraft dies, and a stampin up boat stamp underneath, die cut in a circle once stamped to sit behind the ship wheel die.A silver brad in the centre of the ship wheel. That’s another month gone, March already and officially the start of autumn – ( here anyway – our northern hemisphere neighbours are welcoming spring) and I am looking forward to cooler weather. It’s been a very long summer this year.Til tomorrow….

last months village lesson card

IMG_7712 (Medium)Today as I am finishing off the preparation for next weeks village lesson, I thought I would show you what the ladies made last lesson. This one is the first, and tomorrow I will post the other two cards. The pretty white background paper is a specialty paper, already embossed, and with a lovely shine to it, and the dies ( for the leaves and the border were from kaisercraft. the bird is my trusty stampin up bird punch, and the sentiment is Stampin up Curly cute stamp.Just a bit of ribbon to finish.Roast in the oven for lunch, housework done and now before I sort out the vegatables for steaming I must pop out and wash my car which is lost under a layer of red dust! Til tomorrow….

Stampin up designer paper..

IMG_7604 (Medium)IMG_7605 (Medium)In my quest to use up old papers I found two 1/2 sheets of this old Stampin up designer paper, and made these cards from them – I used every square inch of what was the equivalent of a whole sheet so great value here! The top two cards are quite straight forward with flowers fussy cut from the paper, sequins, gold twine and frilled ribbon – all products of stampin up. The bottom card in a box also has die cut butterflies( spellbinders)die cut in glitter card, and berry vine (kaisercraft) die cut in gold card. All the card stock used is also stampin up. Today will be a bit of a crafty day as I have a big card order to fulfill, and have one more card to come up with for the village lesson next weekend so a lovely day for me! til tomorrow…..

something completely different…

IMG_7607 (Medium)IMG_7608 (Medium)Todays cards are different to the cards I usually make.usally I rely on the paper to dictate my imagings, but today’s cards rely heavily on some little mini dolls that I picked up from a discount store called cheap as chips. There were four in the pack and the only cost a couple of dollars. Once home i matched up each doll with scraps of paper and some stampin up cardstock to create them. The happy birthday is a kaisercraft die.I had great fun creating these ones! This morning i did a quick run to the papercraft shop to collect my bits and pieces for Aprils lessons, and now I am off into the craft room to put the lessons together! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Curiosity 18 and 19.

IMG_7747 (Medium)IMG_7750 (Medium)Well I am glad to say we are back to normal after a few days of Nathan tearing his hair out, and muttering technical things that I didn’t understand! This is the last two cards I have made with kaisercraft Curiosity and I can’t believe I have made 19 cards with this paper, and I enjoyed making every one of them! it’s not often that I make that many with one collection, which just goes to prove I loved this paper. One day I will return to it and finish off the bits and pieces I have left. And the most amazing thing is I have used minimal extra embellishing. Truly a great collection. The two cards shown here use all 6″ pad papers and tags, some fussy cut bits and a collectable ( one of the butterflies).Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Curiosity 16 and 17

I’m back, but still a few glitches as you can see, but it’s better than it was!Hopefully by tomorrow all will be restored.Todays cards are still Kaisercraft Curiosity, and we just have a couple more  do and then will move on. Both cards use the 6″ paper pad, and the images are from a 12 x 12 paper.the only extras on the card on the right are ribbon and a die cut from berry vine die ( kaisercraft). We had a very warm weekend, and a couple of birthdays in the family to celebrate, but I did get into the craft room for  an afternoon and planned out a village lesson.I also squeezed in a visit to Paper Flourish ( I just went for double sided tape and 450 glue) and saw the new Prima papers which i just couldnt resist, so came home with lost of new goodies! til tomorrow….

More kaisercraft Curiosity ( 14,15)

IMG_7743 (Medium)IMG_7744 (Medium)Today we are back to kaisercraft curiosity paper collection and matching collectables.I was going to leave these for a little while, but I know that Janice ( a lovely lady from America) has scoured the net looking for this collection, and it is on her way to her as we speak, so I thought I would put up a few more ideas for her. These two cards are side stepper cards,( have I done a youtube clip for this style of card?) and I just needed the papers and collectables to decorate, although having said that there is a die cut ( Kaisercraft die) on the top card cut from gold card. It’s a lovely day here and a day off. the shopping is done so i am off to the craft room. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft curiosity card in a box idea…

IMG_7635 (Medium)This is the last of Kaisercraft Curiosity for a little while. I thought I would finish off with a couple of card in boxes. Most of the images are cut from the 12 x 12 papers and 6″ pad, and there a re a couple of collectables there too, but that’s it – no other embellishing required. The card on the left is earmarked for my dads 84th birthday next week,he loves seeing my creations and will enjoy examining this one to see how I put it together! I didn’t get as much crafting done yesterday as I thought I would, but saw lots of family members over at mum and dads, so it was a most enjoyable day.The weather here is so much better – quite cool and so I have popped a roast in the oven, I have missed my weekly roasts! til tomorrow….
