For these next two cards, I used a Paper Roses stitched oval die to cut an aperture in the front of a card base, ( it’s easiest to do this with the patterned paper already attached). I put the resulting oval die cuts ( 1 plain card and 1 patterned paper) aside for another card. Decorated the inside panel with the wood panel patterned paper and a fussy cut butterfly, and the front with some fussy cut flowers and a pearl and ribbon. The second card made use of the plain die cut oval, a fussy cut butterfly , die cut birthday greeting ( in silver foil card) and bling! I had a hugely busy week working, so this weekend will be spent catching up around the house, but I don’t doubt that I will find some time to craft. Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Indigo Skies

I only purchased 3 sheets of this collection, and one of the sheets was covered with gorgeous blue butterflies, so immediately I fussy cut those(!)I managed to make a lot of different crafty items with my small purchase, and we will start with the standard cards today. The top card relies heavily on the papers, and I added lace down both sides of the banner and sprinkled rhinestones all over for some shiny bling. The bottom card only has a fussy cut butterfly from the collection, the rest is plain cardstock, with punched corners and a die cut corner butterfly flourish ( Paper Rose brand). Some glitter a ribbon bow and bling to finish. I am teaching tonight so heading in to work later this afternoon so for now I am going to head into the craft room, there is some new graphic 45 in there that is calling my name! This week has been full time hours at work, so I probably won’t get back here until Saturday, so I won’t say til tommorrow, I will say Stay safe until the weekend!
Kaisercraft Madamoiselle Box card
The final card I made with Kaisercraft Madamoiselle paper collection was this box card.I have simple instructions for constructing this shaped card on my you tube channel ( helens card designs), so much easier than it looks! The papers were from the 6″ pad as was the sentiment and I fussy cut some butterflies from the 12 x 12 sheet from the same collection.I just added some Foliage die cuts ( kaisercraft die) to finish this one. Today I am heading in to the craft room to fulfill some orders, after i tidy my desk..if I can find it under the pile of bits and pieces I keep stacking on it! Til tomorrow…
Kaisercraft Mademoiselle 7..
This one is a favourite because it has everything on it that I love…Lace, pleated ribbon ( stampin up), gorgeous prima flowers, flat backed pearls and mini foilage ( kaisercraft Die). The papers are from the Madamoiselle collection ( 6″ pad) and the butterfly is fussy cut from a piece of 12 x 12 paper from the same range. We had a very busy day at work yesterday with the huge clearance sale, so today is all about catching up with some work around here, visiting Mum for her birthday, and then into the craft room to make some card orders! Til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft Madamoiselle 5 and 6…

Two cards today made with kaisercraft Madamoiselle papers ( because I may not be back here until Sunday…Big sale to prepare for at Paper Flourish). I love the top card, the butterfly is so beautiful, I fussy cut it from one of the 12 x 12 papers, and added some feelers and bling to it. I embossed some brown cardstock, die cut a fancy flourish circle , and added it all to a yellow cardbase. A few yellow flowers ,and a ribbon bow made this one totally different to all the other cards I made with this collection. The second card is back to vintage, with papers from the 6″ pad, lace, doily, collectables from the matching pack, a punched flower ( built up, shaped and with a bit of bling)punched leaves and of course a ribbon bow! Til tomorrow….
Yesterday – Indigo Skies on the craft table..
One of Kaisercraft’s new ranges this month is called Indigo Skies. Lots of blues and greys in this range, but because I had picked up so much of the other release ( High Tea) I only chose 3 sheets of this range because I knew I wouldn’t get the time to use it all. Anyway, I sat down with my 3 sheets and made 4 cards, also 2 cards with matching decorated boxes, and decorated these two frames. I will get Nathan to photo the rest properly, but I wanted to share my frames straight away. The butterflies are fussy cut from one of the Indigo Skies 12 x 12 sheets ( one full sheet of gorgeous butterflies to fussy cut..this sheet formed the basis for all my makes) and the background is from another sheet of the same range. Everything else – frames ( free with a magazine years ago),flowers, lace, pretty die cuts, lace and pearls string were all found in a rummage through my craft room. Today I must make a birthday card for my son Daniel so that I can get it in the post, and I have a lesson half completed on my desk which I will finish . Til tomorrow…..
Mothers Day card
If you are a regular visitor to my blog you will see by now that I really got my moneys worth with the few pieces of paper and the 6″ pad that I bought – Kaisercraft Chanteuse – I’ve lost count of the ammount of cards I have made with it, but it must be over 30. On this card I also used a martha stewart butterfly punch and stampin up Early espresso cardstock and some bling and kindyglitz. Today I spent quite a few hours over at Paper flourish designing my June class, and had lots of wonderful interruptions including our Big Morning Tea, which involved chocolate cupcakes – Yum! Til tomorrow….
