Card box card..

img_3545-mediumToday will be my last post for about a week, as I am off to visit my son in Sydney! It is also the last card I made using Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection. I have a you-tube clip ( see link on right hand side of blog) to show you the measurements for my box card, and I have just used the papers, inking around the edges of all the panels with tea dye distress ink, and added a bow. All the other pieces were fussy cut fromthe papers. I spent a little time in the craft room this morning, hoping to prepare my classes for december, but the shoulder is still not the best even with yesterdays cortosone injection, so I have had to give up, and will sit and rest it for a while with a good book! Til next week…

Kaisercraft Pitter Patter Number 1

IMG_5483 (Medium)

A couple of months ago kaisercraft brought out a new range of baby paper called Pitter Patter. It is gorgeous, and can be used for more than just baby cards, but I started off making a few baby boy cards with with it and this one is the first. I used a piece of patterned paper from the 6″ pad, and some of the matching collectables. I inked all my edges with Stampin up ink – Pool party, and added 2 white ribbon bows. Til tomorrow…..

Prima Tea Thyme card

Now for a change from Christmas cards I made this one using Prima Tea Thyme patterned paper and my cuttlebug.the die I used were – spellbinders labels 17, lace doily accents, and Memory box La Rue Flourish. The sentiment ( Love it) is from a stampin Up set called Apothecary Art, and the pleated satin ribbon is also stampin Up. I just added lace and perfect pearls to this one to finish it.Tonight I want to spend a bit of time in the craft room, doing some special orders, but first I have to find my work table which is under such a pile of stuff! Til tomorow…

Pink Paislee London market

Quick post tonight, as tea is burning as we speak! Over the next couple of days I will show a couple of cards i made using Pink Paislee London Market paper – its a lovely vintage style paper, and On this card I teamed it with the matching pink paislee ephemera pack, and a couple of odd bits and pieces I had in the bottom of a drawer! Hoping to have a nice session in the craft room tonight – i have the next couple of days off, and have to get some orders done – Til tomorrow….

Apothecary Art number 3

Here is number 3 in my Stampin Up Apothecary art stamp set series. I have used my Stampin Up blossom party die to make the flowers, and die cut the leaves with my Meadow leaf memory box die. Also used on this card are – Stampin Up twitterpated designer paper, Drifting Endless embossing folder by Couture creations, a Martha stewart punch, and My Minds Eye brads. The stamped image was die cut with Stampin Up Labels collection . The Stampin Up cardstock is Basic grey and Blushing Bride. Tonight i intend to spend a little time in the card room coming up with some new designs – I have finally prepared all my lessons for the next couple of months, so now to fill the market boxes! Til tomorrow….

dress form card

A very late post today, but today has just escaped from me and Nathan and I have just finished photoing my cards, which we usually do on a Sunday morning. This means the light was not good and to avoid putting up Nathans photo tent (which is impossible to fold back up) I was in the dark under the dining table which he assured me was the best place to take said photos. We will see when he has put them on the computer. Anyway on to todays card. No pretty papers today! Bazzil cardstock which i ran through the cuttlebug with my swiss dots embossing folder, and spellbinders dress forms die ( cut from a bit of a cereal packet and painted with crackle paint) The pretty lace is actually a curtain remnat, and the flowers were cut with my cricut and the flower shoppe cartridge. All that was needed then was a bit of ribbon, a paper flower and some liquid pearls. That’s it for today, but will see you all tomorrow. Til tomorrow…….

Follow Your Heart – Be Happy..

The paper of choice today is My Minds Eye – Follow Your Heart – Be happy. This is a bigger card than I normally make, and I made it at the request of my husband so that he could take it in to work to thank everyone for there best wishes when he was sick recently. I have layered 2 layers of papers on to the cardstock, which is stampin Up baja brezze. The flowers are  diecut with my cuttlebug using Stampin up Blossom Party die, and I also used a memory box die – La Rue Flourish. I added lace, bling flourishes, and My minds Eye brads, and the sentiment was stamped with a stamp from the stampin Up perfectly penned set.I like the subtle colours on this card, but I don’t know if it’s the dull rainy dreary weather we have had this week, but I am seriously in need of bright, colourful patterns and colours so I am going to go through all my papers ( may take a little while…) and create bright things this week end! Til tomorrow…

Another idea for teen boys cards

Here is another idea for cards for teen boys – the paper I used was  a free pad on the front of a magazine, but any similar paper will do for this one. The cardstock is Stampin Up cherry cobbler, as is the bakers twine. I used bazzil cardstock to cut out the hand controller and used a few brads for the buttons. A very wet day here – I don’t know – sunny one day and bucketing down the next! A good evening for cardmaking in the craft room I think! Til tomorrow….

Prima meadow lark number 7

Here is the final Prima meadow Lark card! Although as we speak the collection is sitting on my work table as I am still doing orders and that paper was asked for on two of the cards, so I am not done with it yet although I probably won’t post any more cards with it. Here I really let the paper do the talking – I just couldn’t bring myself to cut into this pretty paper so I made a feature of it instead, fussy cutting around the design and just adding a butterfly ( memory box dies kaliedascope and moonlight butterfly) and some lace and liquid pearls. Tomorrow I think we will have some male cards! Til tomorrow….
