Today will be my last post for about a week, as I am off to visit my son in Sydney! It is also the last card I made using Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection. I have a you-tube clip ( see link on right hand side of blog) to show you the measurements for my box card, and I have just used the papers, inking around the edges of all the panels with tea dye distress ink, and added a bow. All the other pieces were fussy cut fromthe papers. I spent a little time in the craft room this morning, hoping to prepare my classes for december, but the shoulder is still not the best even with yesterdays cortosone injection, so I have had to give up, and will sit and rest it for a while with a good book! Til next week…

A Card in a box
We will leave Kaisercraft say Aloha paper collection for now with this last card that i crated, along with the box to pop it into. the papers are from the 12 x 12 collection, and I added a butterfly from the matching collectables, and some flowers and punched leaves. Tonight my boys are out, so I am heading into the craft room to try some experiments with ink and stamps that I have been mulling over. Til tomorrow…..
Prima Tea Thyme number 8
I really enjoy making these cards in boxes, and I have done a You Tube video ( titled card in a box box) to show how I make these very simple boxes. For this one I used Prima Tea Thyme 6″pad, and matching flowers. I added some ribbon, lace and an organza bow to finish. The tags used are all found in the 6″pad.I have been amazingly creative this week, and have made close to 40 cards, which I now have to organise Nathan to photo , and I have been very naughty and not done the inserts, so tonight I will be going through them all inserting the verses! That is the most boring job… which explains why I haven’t done them yet! Til tomorrow….
How to make a card in a box box video….
As promised here is the you tube video Nathan and I have been working on, showing you how I make my card in a box box.Once you get the hang of these they are quick and easy, and are ideal for those cards that have quite a lot of embellishments that don’t fit into normal envelopes. feedback is more than welcome, and if anything is unclear please let me know! Til tomorrow….
box in a card 2
Hare is another card in a box – these have taken off, and I am inundated with orders for them at the moment. The cardstoak I used here is stampin Up Pink Pirouette, and the paper is an old one I found in the back of my cupboard by Daisyd’s.I have used a few dies and my cuttlebug – here is the list – Spellbinders parisian motifs,Bird Sanctuary, and rose creations, and my sizzix caged bird die.Just added some bling and rbbon to finish. I have a class with my lovely ladies tomorrow, so must go and pack my bag in readiness – til tomorrow….
Card in a box
I made this card for my Boss’s birthday, and when it was made I realised it wasn’t going to fit into the envelope without ruining the whole effect of the flower, so I came up with this matching box, which was so successful it resulted in a rather large order, and more coming in all the time, so at the moment I am up to my eyes in cards in boxes!I will show a couple more over the next couple of days, but now the challenge is to make some male themed ones – that’s the next order I will be working on over the weekend. Anyway, for this one I used Bo Bunny enchanted patterned paper, and matching brads, and my sizzix tattered floral die with a prima leaf and sprays of pearls. Once you have the hang of these boxes, I have discoverd it is quite easy to change the size to match any size card, the only thing to remember is to keep the measurements within 12 x 12, otherwise you will run out of cardstock!
