Kaisercraft Silent Night 3 and 4

img_3513-mediumimg_3516-mediumThe next 2 cards in my Kaisercraft Silent night series. The top cadr uses papers from the paper pad,and the bottom card has layers using 12 x 12 papers and both cards rely heavily on the images from the collectables pack. Everything is inked with tea dye distress ink and some bows to finish for texture.I am having a very busy week at work, but hope to get into the craft room for an hour this afternoon just for a litle relaxation! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Silent night, side steppers

img_3511-mediumimg_3512-mediumThe other Kaisercraft Christmas collection I purchased was this one – Silent Night. It is the traditional colours of red and Green, and some lovely vintage images. The first two cards I made are these two side stepper cards. I have done a youtube clip for the measurements of my side stepper cards, because I like them to fit into a C6 envelope. You can find the link to my youtube channel on the right hand side of my blog, or just search Helens Card designs in youtube to find it!The Christmas trees on the cards are from the collectables pack from the same range, but before I stuck them onto the card I traced around them onto scrap cardstock and cut them out to use as templates because I really like the size and shape of them So one of the green trees is a collectable and one is cut from patterned paper using my new template!Lace , ribbon and bling for the finishing touches.Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Christmas wishes ..the last..

img_3509-mediumimg_3510-mediumThis is the last of the Kaisercraft Christmas wishes series for this year. I will put the rest away to start me off next year. The top card is another gatefold, while the bottom card uses up a few scraps punched into hexagons, inspired by the shape of the greeting which came from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper. The trim on both cards is from Stampin Up. I have cleared my craft desk of all things christmas for today and I am going to explore the possibilities with my new purchases…I think Graphic 45 to start!Happy Crafting, til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Christmas wishes 16

img_3508-mediumOn my desk there is a myriad of bits and pieces, leftover from other projects, or die cuts etc given to me by my crafty friends, and I try to use them as they appear but sometimes the pile grows and grows! I am determined to get to the bottom of this pile and see my desk again,so todays card uses one of these bits.It is a die cut, I think it’s a cuttlebug die and embossing folder in one, and I have backed it with some patterned paper from kaisercraft Christmas wishes, and decorated with more fussy cutting from the same range.I survived my week of night shift, (glad it’s only once a year though) and as a reward to myself I popped into Paper Flourish yesterday and bought some new papers. Bo Bunny, Graphic 45 and kaisercraft all featured in my shopping basket! The Kaisercraft Ooh La La especially is worth checking out, I love it! Til tomorrow….

Step it up!

img_3506-mediumimg_3505-mediumWe are back to Kaisercraft Christmas wishes paper collection, and I did something a little different here. The top card is quite simple, with just a little layering ( the gold doily is fussy cut from one of the papers), while on the bottom card I have used exactly the same papers and images but stepped it up a little by adding a little more layering and a lot more trim ( all the trims used here are from Stampin Up)Still working the night shift, and life here is all topsy turvy! One more night to go and then thankfully back to normal! Til tomorrow….

sympathy cards

img_9368-mediumimg_9369-mediumTodays cards are sympathy cards. I always try to have a few of these ready, usually when people (or I) need them it’s straight away, and if they are for myself the last thing I want to do is sit down and make one. For these two i used a sheet of 3d images that i picked up at the fair, cut out all the images and layered them up with foam pads. A sticker for the sentiment is all I added – less is more for sympathy cards.I am off to work to do a night shift – working nights all week this week so that will be a new experience for me! Til tomorrow….

More Happy Reindeers..

img_9364-mediumDon’t these reindeers make you smile?I used an embossing folder for the background ( stampin Up) and ripped up white cardstock  to make the foreground. I added aline of glue across the top of each layer and stuck on loose glitter.Fussy cut reindeers from stampin up home for christmas designer paper, and added die cut leaves and sentiment with  kaisercraft dies. A sprinkle of red kaisercraft rhinestones and these which were a joy to make were done! Til tomorrow….

Home for Christmas

img_9362-mediumimg_9363-mediumStampin Up Home for Christmas designer papers, and cardstock. These ones are very simple with just a little layering and fussy cutting from the papers. The sentiment on the top card is by Kaisercraft and the bottom sentiment is a new stampin up stamp.Very quick and easy! til tomorrow….

The cutest Reindeer

img_9360-mediumWe are still with Stampin Up designer papers from last year ( home for Christmas). One sheet was covered with the cutest reindeers, and I spent a couple of pleasant evenings cutting them all out!  I cut the paper and cardstock into banners, wrapped some silver twine around the top, and stuck it all onto a card made from stampin up cardstock. The sentiment is stamped with an older stampin up stamp set, with a couple of kaisercraft rhinestones added too! We have a long weekend here, and i have quite a few orders to make as well as some family birthdays to keep me busy as well…Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Pitter Patter Number 1

IMG_5483 (Medium)

A couple of months ago kaisercraft brought out a new range of baby paper called Pitter Patter. It is gorgeous, and can be used for more than just baby cards, but I started off making a few baby boy cards with with it and this one is the first. I used a piece of patterned paper from the 6″ pad, and some of the matching collectables. I inked all my edges with Stampin up ink – Pool party, and added 2 white ribbon bows. Til tomorrow…..
