sympathy cards

img_9368-mediumimg_9369-mediumTodays cards are sympathy cards. I always try to have a few of these ready, usually when people (or I) need them it’s straight away, and if they are for myself the last thing I want to do is sit down and make one. For these two i used a sheet of 3d images that i picked up at the fair, cut out all the images and layered them up with foam pads. A sticker for the sentiment is all I added – less is more for sympathy cards.I am off to work to do a night shift – working nights all week this week so that will be a new experience for me! More Happy Reindeers..

img_9364-mediumDon’t these reindeers make you smile?I used an embossing folder for the background ( stampin Up) and ripped up white cardstock  to make the foreground. I added aline of glue across the top of each layer and stuck on loose glitter.Fussy cut reindeers from stampin up home for christmas designer paper, and added die cut leaves and sentiment with  kaisercraft dies. A sprinkle of red kaisercraft rhinestones and these which were a joy to make were done! Til tomorrow….

Echo Park Love Story number 2

IMG_3659 (Medium)Echo Park – Love story patterned paper, ansd another not quite shabby chic style. I distressed and inked all the edges of my layers, added a doily, a couple of leaves die cut using a memory box die – Meadow Leaf. Assorted flowers, and a big one made from some netting with a kaisercraft brad in the centrer, and all that was left to do was stamp the happy birthday!Til tomorrow….

Prima Botanicals with Butterfly 2

This card somehow got separated from it’s partner which I posted a few posts down… I used Prima Botanicals paper, and the butterflies were fussy cut from a sheet of Graphic 45 paper that was full of these gorgeous butterflies. I used a scrap piece of prima paper to cut randomly sized rectangles and distressed and inked the edges before mounting the butterflies on them. Today I have been playing with my punches, and have come up with some different cards using them, which I am sure will feature in a lesson or two soon! Til tomorrow….

What I am doing today…

I t is a lovely cool rainy day here in Adelaide – perfect for cardmaking so I have been most of the day in the craft room, and I thought I would show you what I have bben creating – We will photo these cards seperately  on the weekend, but for now a sneaky peek – all using Kaisercraft These days papers. ( that is my little shadow, patiently waiting at my feet) .When I first pulled this paper out I thought what was I thinking – it is really for scrapbooking, but once I got started the ideas really flowed – my fingers couldn’t keep up with my brain! I love days like that!
