Go press and Foil card ..the other one..

_MG_9388 (Medium) While I had my Go press and foil machine out I foiled a few extra pieces to have on hand on my desk so you will see bits popping up on other random cards, but this card was all Go Press and Foil. I used the big go press and foil stamp ( its called a stamp but is actually a metal plate) to foil the aqua background and fussy cut out the centre and around the outside. I gold foiled a happy birthday chipboard piece from Dusty Attic, and the little wooden bird by Kaisercraft. The Green foiled foliage is a wooden piece by kaisercraft and I added some gorgeous flowers from Iamroses. Today is a public holiday here and I am making good use of the day off to try and clear my desk, where random projects have been started and left there! Til tomorrow….

Bright balloons with Stampin Up…

_MG_6361 (Medium)Todays card uses some bazzill cardstock for layering, and a range of Stampin Up goodies that I recently purchased recently. The Die is Stampin Up Happy Birthday thinlits die and the balloons are stamped with Stampin Up Happy Birthday Gorgeous set. I punched them out with a balloon punch by Stampin Up. I put this card quickly together when I was playing around with colour combinations. I am teaching this afternoon at paper Flourish,so I am off to gather all my equipment together and spend an enjoyable afternoon creating ! Til tomorrow…..

My Minds Eye In Bloom.

_MG_4266 (Medium) A natural progression from yesterdays card where I had used My Minds Eye In Bloom patterned paper as the background layer is today’s card which uses all My Minds Eye In Bloom paper. I die cut a gold foil heart, and added black lace and gold ribbon. Everything else is from the paper collection. Yesterday was very productive day in the craft room. I planned out my march classes, and started to experiment with some irridescent medium and stencils to make my own background layers that have a bit of a sheen. This is a work in progress but will share when i have something to show you! Til tomorrow….

Go Press and Foil chipboard shapes…

_MG_0632 (Medium)

For todays card I die cut a birdcage out of chipboard from a very old sizzix die that I had. I tried foiling normal cardstock but it is just a little too thin and requires lots and lots of shims, so I decided chipboard is the way to go!. I also foiled a kaisercraft bird wooden piece. The butterfly is just punched out of some foil cardstock I had.I die cut memory box lorelia leaf die, and added some flowers and a ribbon bow . The background papers are from kaisercraft Rose Avenue. Today is Nathans birthday so we are off out to celebrate! til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Rose Avenue number 1….

_MG_2599 (Medium)Today we start a new series, Kaisercraft Rose Avenue. This paper collection is so gorgeous! I have made a lot of cards with it already, and have only just now reluctantly packed it away for the moment. We will have a couple of breaks during the posting of this group just in case you guys don’t love it as much as I do! This was one of my first makes….all edges were inked with tea Dye distress ink, and I have used a piece of the 6″ pad and matching collectables. I cut a couple of banner pieces from the script paper, and mounted a sentiment from the pad onto the back of a resin frame. Down in the lower part of the card I mounted one of the sentiments from the pad into the middle of a collectable and added a red ribbon bow. A collectable butterfly and scattering of small flowers to finish! It is very hot here today, 33 C..so everyone in the household is very lethargic, and under the air conditioning ducts is the best place to be! Til tomorrow…..

kaisercraft Mint Wishes number 6

_MG_2613 (Medium)This is the last of my Kaisercraft mint Wishes cards. The left over of  my 3 sheets of  paper I gave to Mum. This one isn’t a Christmas card, it’s a card for any occasion! I did like the pastel green colour used in this range, and really this was just a corner panel of one of the sheets of paper, with a strip stuck across the bottom and a punched butterfly in the top corner. I highlighted little bits of the design with kindyglitz.A whole new series starts tomorrow! Til tomorrow…..

Shabby Chic..Helen style!

_MG_1961 (Medium) Before I start this morning I just want to let my American followers know I am thinking of them all, the ones in the East who are battling with Fire, and the ones down south who are battling with the aftermath of one Hurricane and bracing for more…my thoughts are with you all.

I am determined to master Shabby Chic. I love shabby, but I am struggling to get to the point where I can say I have succeeded, but I will continue to practise, and show you my progress. This card has a lot of product but a lot of it was put together with bits and pieces left on my work table from other projects so i didn’t prepare anything new for this project except for the background layer which was a piece of A4 white cardstock. I painted it with a light watered down layer of Gesso, and used a texture template to add some Liquitex Light modelling paste. When that was dry I tapped some tea dye distress ink over the raised bits and sprayed randomly over the whole piece with Prima Color Bloom Cotton candy spray mist. All that remained for this step was to cut to size, distress all the edges and ink with more tea dye distress ink and attach to the card front. decorating…. a strip of lace under one of the layers, a Prima Bird, a flower made with sizzix bigz 3d flower die and old book pages, memory box Lorelai leaves die, kaisercraft wooden flourish foiled in silver, pearls , Prima hessian leaf, and flowers. Til tomorrow…..

Graphic 45 portrait of a Lady number 5…

_MG_7043 (Medium)I have the morning off today as I am teaching tonight,so I thought I would post the last of my Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady cards ( for now, of course I will come back to this paper at a later date!) Today’s card has a black card base, and the image is fussy cut from one of the 12 x 12 papers. There is a bundle of assorted flowers and punched leaves in the bottom corner. This one was a quick and easy card to put together, and sold at the craft fair along with all the other cards in this series. I had a lovely three days at the craft fair, catching up with like minded crafters, buying some supplies such as lace, and selling a lot of the cards I have made over the last year. This is great because i can start filling my boxes all over again for next year! Til tomorrow…..

The final Kaisercraft Indigo Skies..

lots_MG_4654 (Medium)For my last Indigo skies make I did another card and box, lots of ribbon and lace, flowers and of course the fussy cut butterflies. I actually still have a lot of butterflies left over so you will see them pop up now and again on a card or two. I was quite pleased with the amount of makes I got out of my 3 sheets of patterned paper. Next time we move on to a few male themed cards I made – there has been a lack of men styled paper so far this year and so for these ones I have had to rely on stamps and dies!Til tomorrow…..

A box of butterflies!

_MG_4653 (Medium)The last two items I made with the three Kaisercraft Indigo Skies paper that I purchased were cards and matching boxes, so I will show one today and we will finish the series with the other card and box tomorrow. For the card i die cut an oval from the patterned paper, added a fussy cut butterflies, and added flowers and a little bling. To decorate the box I added a die cut butterfly flourish ( paper rose die), ribbon, lace and another fussy cut butterfly. Til tomorrow….
