Mintay Christmas Stories…3 and 4..

IMG_8105 (Large)IMG_8106 (Large)Here are the other two Mintay Christmas Stories cards I made before I got distracted by other equally beautiful Christmas papers! I did a lot of fussy cutting here, and didn’t add too much more – just a little bling and sparkle! This week has been very busy at work, I haven’t had any home time to craft, and working tomorrow as well so not looking good for weekend crafting either..never mind I am sure I will make up for that next week! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes 10,11,12..

IMG_8084 (Large)IMG_8085 (Large)IMG_8087 (Large)I can’t say it often enough..this collection of papers and collectables ( kaisercraft Christmas Wishes) is so easy to use, and only requires a ribbon bow or a bit of glitter to finish the cards, as you can see in these most recent cards. The top card is particularly interesting. The background layer was a sheet from the 6′ pad which I ran over with a distress ink pad, then wiped off, and the words appeared as if by magic!! It has a gloss finish. I think all the embellishments on these three cards are from the collectables pack, so no fussy cutting to do, and all background papers were from the 6″ pad. Day off today, I have intentions of practising my freehand watercolouring after I have done some paperwork…til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes 7, 8, and 9

IMG_8079 (Large)

Continuing on with Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes, I used  some of the matching collectables on the top card, and a few fussy cut elements on the lower two cards. On the top card I have used some Nuvo drops, and of course there has to be a card with a ribbon bow amongst the group somewhere!  Today is the start of daylight savings here, the clocks have gone forward, I have lost an hour and I am running behind in everything! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes 4,5 and 6…

IMG_8054 (Large)IMG_8073 (Large)IMG_8075 (Large)Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes collection pack, collectables and 6″ pad…Not much else required..a bit of bling, a ribbon bow ….thats it! The bottom card has a sentiment which is a Couture Creations hot Foil stamp which I did on my Go press and Foil machine and then die cut with a Seven paper Dolls die. When i have my Hot foil machine out I tend to do a few at once so that I have a bit of a collection to choose from on my desk. I have to say I do love my foil machine! I have been spreading the word about it , running regular classes at paper Flourish showing all the different things you can do with it, and some of the ladies have given me more ideas and uses too which I am looking forward to investigating. In the meantime, today is my craft and chat gathering and looking forward to catching up with my crafty friends for a relaxing afternoon. We may even get some crafting done! Til tomorrow….

It’s time for Christmas!

IMG_8041 (Large)IMG_8037 (Large)IMG_8072 (Large)Today begins the official start of my Christmas card makes..and I am starting off with cards made with kaisercraft Christmas Wishes paper collection. I purchased the collection pack, collectables and the 6 ” pad, and I have made so many with this collection already. I will ( to alleviate boredom!) put them up 3 at a time and we will have a couple of breaks through out to also see other cards I have been making. My favourite card fold this year has been the double zig zag card so the first few are all in this design. Everything on these cards except for the bling  has come from the listed supplies at the start of the blog,  the collection pack comes with a sticker sheet which has come in handy for the strips across the smaller zig zag fold. I have done a little fussy cutting from some of the papers – the birds and the holly for example. Today is a day off but I am off to have a cortisone injection in my foot…not happy as I have had these before and they hurt!! I am hoping for short time hurt for long time gain! Til tomorrow…..

The last of the Christmas Z-fold cards!

_MG_2626 (Medium)_MG_2627 (Medium)Here are my last two Z-fold cards made with Kaisercraft Mint Wishes, still the same 3 sheets i purchased with just the addition of some pearl bling and silver twine. I think I mentioned that i bought the sticker sheet in this range, but I didn’t! the strips on the smaller z-fold pieces were conveniently on one of the sheets of paper already to size which made these cards really quick and easy to put together, and the merry christmas sentiments that I used were on the bottom of one of the sheets on that identity strip that we usually trim off and throw away! Tomorrow one last “normal” card that I made with the leftover pieces and then we move on to something completely different! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft mint wishes double z fold cards..

_MG_2623 (Medium)_MG_2625 (Medium)two more double z – fold cards just using a couple of bits of paper from Kaisercraft Mint Wishes collection. The pine cone on the top card pictured is a kaisercraft wooden piece which I foiled in chocolate through the Go Press and foil machine. The Baubles on the second card are fussy cut from a piece of the patterned paper from the collection.I have added a photo under my script to show you what I spent last evening doing! We got in some new Nuvo Products at paper Flourish and I just had to try them out. They are Nuvo glimmer paste and come in a range of colours, but I just picked up the clear and the gold, and so far I have tried it out on wooden pieces, painted on with a paintbrush, dabbed little bits ( mainly to clean my brush off) on flowers, and then I found a stencil, attached it to some cardstock and painted the glimmer paste through the stencil..this technique looks amazing! It dries in about 10 minutes, so no long waiting around for it to dry.IMG_7197

Kaisercraft Mint Wishes number 1…

_MG_2612 (Medium)Quick post this afternoon! I have been busy working this week, so having been a bit lax on the posting front! Today has been another busy day with work this morning, and grocery shopping this afternoon, but I wanted to make a little bit of time to post the last Christmas 2017 series which is Kaisercraft Mint Wishes.Just a few cards in this series , I only bought 4 sheets of paper, including the sticker sheet, because the paper was perfect for my christmas double zig zag cards. For this first card I used the same sheet for both panels, fussy cut some baubles from the second sheet, a strip from the third sheet for the smaller zig zag, and a greeting from the sticker sheet mounted onto scrap white cardstock. It is a hot day here in Adelaide today, so I am off to cool down in the shower, then a seat for a little while under the air conditioner! til tomorrow…..

Go Press and Foil Christmas

_MG_2628 (Medium)

Some Kaisercraft Christmas Jewel paper collection today, and an experiment using a Go Press and Foils stamp on patterned paper. it worked a treat, and I will be doing this a lot more! The background papers are from the 12 x 12 papers in the Kaisercraft Christmas jewel collection, and I foiled a lovely purple foil onto the patterned paper for the sentiment. a matching collectable and ribbon bow to complete a very simple Christmas card. i have been foiling this morning…. I have been die cutting my own chipboard pieces and foiling them. The secret is in getting the shim correct. I have found that using a piece of the chipboard cardboard is just the right thickness for a shim on my die cutting machine, but everyone’s die cutting machine is different depending on how loose it is so experimentation is essential. If your first run through is patchy, you need a thicker shim and you can just foil over the top with another piece of foil.Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 15….

_MG_2631 (Medium)Another card made with Kaisercraft letters to santa, with the addition of a poinsetta die cut with paper Rose Poinsetta die, and a little branch of holly from a Kaisercraft die.I die cut an oval, edged it with tea dye ink matted some craft cardstock behind, and popped on a collectable from the kaisercraft letters to santa collection. The Noel sentiment is from the matching 6″ pad. It’s been a busy week and a busy morning, and I am aiming to clear the dining table of overspill projects from the craft room this morning, restore a bit of order! Til tomorrow….
