For the next few days we will be looking at Kaisercraft Chjristmas Wishes Paper and collectables.Although it is quite a modern colour scheme of lilacs and aqua, I have managed to make a couple of more traditional cards with this range, as shown on the second card. For most of this range I made gatefold cards as they eleiminate the age old question of what about an insert?, as I just line the inside panel with patterned paper and use one of the greetings from the range inside. The papers on these two cards were from the 6″ pad, and I used some collectables from the matching pack. I just added some trim some cost effective cards! A rainy day here , all my shopping etc done and now I am off to the craft room and some relaxation! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Christmas wishes 7,the last for now..
This is the last card for now in my Kaisercraft Christmas wishes series.I used some pieces of the 12 x 12 paper, and die cut a pointsetta with a Kaisercraft Die. There is a border at the bottom created with a border punch, and I just added sequins to the middle of the pointsetta and a little bow in the right hand corner.A very busy weekend this weekend, and glorious weather here – looks like spring is right on schedule, so I don’t think I will get much time in the craft room so the ideas in my head will have to wait! til tomorrow….
KaisercraftChristmas wishes 5 and 6..

Twp more cards using Kaisercraft Christmas wishes paper collection. The top card only has a bit of the papers fussy cut, and the focal image of this card is the gorgeous Memory box merry christmas die which I picked up from Paper Flourish the other day and couldn’t wait to try! It cuts beautifully, as all memory box dies do,my favourite brand on equal first with kaisercraft dies! The bottom card is made with some of the 12 x 12 papers from the collection, with one of the card fronts cut from another piece of 12 x 12 paper, another easy card with just a bit of layering and some sequins scattered and a fussy cut bauble.Day off today , shopping done and I am off to the craft room to prepare my october class which is all about traditional christmas colours and images..lovely….til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Christmas wishhes and dies 3 and 4..

My two Kaisercraft Christmas wishes cards today use very little paper, just some baubles fussy cut and the background paper for the reindeer. The main focus are the dies I used ,kaisercraft christmas ones from last year which cut beautifully. I added some bling and some kindyglitz on the reindeer and some little bows on the christmas tree. These are the dies I was looking for the other day, I am glad to report they have turned up! I put them on the shelf behind my desk for easy access, clever idea if only I had remembered that! I used stampin up gold twine for the bauble string. This afternoon I am off to Paper flourish where I am going to pick up my crazy dogs stamps..and possibly one or two other things as well! til tomorrow….
Too Early for Christmas cards?

Is it too early for christmas cards? I was over at my sisters craft room a few weeks ago playing with all her new stampin Up products, and I made this card with some scrap cardstock and a couple of dies from the stampin up die sets – Birds and blooms, and Flourish, It wasn’t until I had made it that I thought it might be ok for christmas , I see though that the bling has moved around a bit so will fix that before I add it to the christmas box! And today a photo of a sleepy Luna, she was hanging around when we were taking the card photos!Til tomorrow….
Bird crazy stamp sets..1 and 2..

Stampers anonymous along with Tim holtz have released a set of stamps that totally appealed to my sense of quirkiness. There are a few different stamp sets in the collection, and I have Bird Crazy,Crazy talk and Crazy things. The birds set have 6 different birds, and the things have lots of accessories for the birds, such as the glasses, birthday hat, balloons and presents in these two cards. These are the first couple of cards I made, and after these two I really let my imagination go as you will see over the next couple of days! now the nitty gritty – the images were stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and a wet paintbrush, then fussy cut out and stuck on white stampin up cardstock, before being mounted on my card bases ( also stampin up cardstock.) The pine cone in the top corner of the christmas card is a stampin up stamp.Yesterday was so hot here, 40C and today is going to be the same. When it’s this hot there is nothing much we can do except sit under the cooling duct – I will get a bit of reading done today!Til tomorrow….
stampin up christmas cards

Here are my last Christmas cards for this year,(I think) and all the products used are stampin up from their Christmas catalogue – so,woodland embossing folder, peaceful pines stamp set, perfect pines die set, and the father Christmas image is from the home for Christmas designer paper. I always wonder what to do with myself in the craft room after I have finished my Christmas cards – it takes me a little while to settle back into the rythym – maybe that’s just me or do other ladies feel that ? Today I went and saw my knee specialist, and thought I would be able to go back to work next week, but he said no, not for two more weeks, so I will be returning the week of Christmas. It was a big job he had to fix – split cartlidge, and needs a bit longer to heal. Thats OK – I get to spend a little bit of time in the craft room before I go back! til tomorrow….
