Christmas All is Bright 9 and 10
Here are the last two cards in my My Minds Eye All is Bright series… tomorrow onto something else! The card on the left makes good use of the sticker sheet that matches this paper, and I have added a little seam binding. the cardstock is Stampin Up Cherry cobbler. The card on the right is purely paper, with some snowflakes die cut with Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant dies. The cardstock for this one is Stampin Up baja breeze. Nathan and I had a marathon photo session today, so tonight I will be sorting out all the photos, and will have new cards to put up. Til tomorrow….
Christmas All is Bright 7 and 8
My Minds Eye All is Bright papers, and stickers. For these two cards I have teamed them with Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant die, and after I had die cut the snowflakes I used the waste as a stencil on the card on the right hand side. inking through it to leave the snowflake pattern on the cardstock. I really liked this look, and it has made me look at my waste offcuts in a new light – you may see more of this technique on other cards!I also used doilies on these two cards, and a bit of bakers twine and seam binding. They are quite a modern look and will be good for the younger members of my family. The cardstock I used is Stampin Up – Crumbcake, cherry cobbler and Baja Breeze. I have found some graphic 45 christmas paper from last year (aptly called Christmas Past!) in my craft room – it hasn’t been cut into so I can only think that I bought it after I had made last years cards, anyway that’s what I am playing with today, and thoroughly enjoying myself – I do love Graphic 45! Christmas 2012 phrase…
Last one for now, we will revisit christmas after a short break! Here I have again used Stampin Up be of Good Cheer designer paper – did I say how much I like the rich colours of this paper? and matched it with stampin Up Cherry Cobbler, very vanilla and Wild wasabi cardstock. I embellished with kindyglitz, ribbon, bakers twine and my Ek Success border punch – sorry can’t recall the name of that one -.The Noel was die cut with my cuttlebug using a Sizzix basic grey die called Phrases, Noel. Christmas cards 2012 – simple…
Very little christmas purchases used on this one! The cuttlebug folder is Winter Tress, and I used my Tim Holtz embossing diffuser to leave an oval at the bottom plain so that I could stamp straight onto the cardstock. The stamp used came from Stampin Up Welcome Christmas, then all I had to do was add some thin gold ribbon, and die cut a flower from my Die – namics Upsey daisies die. I used stampin Up Chery Cobbler and handsome Hunter cardstock to try to make it look like a Poinsetta. had a lovely morning with my Ladies this morning, and spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room, mainly looking for things – I have to clean that room out!Til tomorrow…
Daydream Medallions – christmas card 2012
I took the idea from yesterdays card and stepped it up a bit on this one – still using the Daydream medallions stamp set I stamped a couple of medallions in shades of green, and fussy cut them out, layering the on top of each other, The image on the top of the stampin up craumbcake cardstock is from my stampin up Welcome christmas stamp set as is the greeting. Inks used were stampin up cherry cobbler, wild wasabi, certainly celery and crumbcake. The paper is Stampin up designer paper – Be of good cheer, and even the ribbon is stampin up!Not often I make a card that is all from one company!Til tomorrow….
Be Of good Cheer…
This is the second Christmas card I made using my Spellbinders Lacey Pennant dies. The designer paper is Stampin Up Be of Good Cheer, as is the cherry cobbler cardstock and bakers twine.I threaded the twine through the loops of the pennant, and will try this idea again when I find some glittery thin gold ribbon – I think that would look effective. I am working on some different projects this week, but pretty tired after work so not getting very far… Til tomorrow….
Final card ( for now) using non – xmas stash
This is the final card for now made using non christmas stash. The cardstock used is Stampin Up cherry cobbler, which I embossed with Stampin Up vintage wallpaper embossing folder, and then inked over the raised bits with choc chip ink. I stamped some music notes ( kaisercraft stamp) in choc chip, and matted that onto Stampin Up handsome hunter cardstock which I had punched with my e.k. success border edger – sorry, can’t remember the name of that one ,but someone might be able to help with that -and finally I die cut a flower using a Dienamics upsey daisies die. I stamped a greeting and cut it into a small tag and attached. these little greeting tags are a new fad of mine, and I have been creating them for a lot of my recent makes, so you will see them – a lot! Finally today I want to welcome all my recent subscribers – so glad to have you all, and always feel free to leave a comment , a question or even a request for something you might like to see. For now, I had better go and cook tea – the natives are getting restless! Til tomorrow….
