Kaisercraft Christmas wishes 16

img_3508-mediumOn my desk there is a myriad of bits and pieces, leftover from other projects, or die cuts etc given to me by my crafty friends, and I try to use them as they appear but sometimes the pile grows and grows! I am determined to get to the bottom of this pile and see my desk again,so todays card uses one of these bits.It is a die cut, I think it’s a cuttlebug die and embossing folder in one, and I have backed it with some patterned paper from kaisercraft Christmas wishes, and decorated with more fussy cutting from the same range.I survived my week of night shift, (glad it’s only once a year though) and as a reward to myself I popped into Paper Flourish yesterday and bought some new papers. Bo Bunny, Graphic 45 and kaisercraft all featured in my shopping basket! The Kaisercraft Ooh La La especially is worth checking out, I love it! Til tomorrow….

Christmas with Dies

img_9355-mediumimg_9359-mediumTodays cards rely heavily on dies. The paper I used is by Stampin Up called Home for Christmas and it was released last year, but I still have a bit left. For the top card the sentiment die is a new release from memory box,and the scenery dies are by stampin up also a release from last year, but I didn’t get them in time to use them last year. The bottom card has a window die cut with a memory box die, with one of the stampin up dies behind it. The house and christmas tree were fussy cut from the stampin up paper. We are experiencing wild weather here at the moment, so will post this now in case we lose power again! Til tomorrow….

Purple day today!

IMG_6548Recently I had an order for a purple birthday card, so I teamed it with black and gold , and got to work with the big shot and a variety of dies…kaisercraft layered flowers, magnolia flourish, and spellbinders for the sentiment and tags. The gold foiled doily was from a kaisercraft paper range, embossing folder was an older stampin up one, and the cardstock was also stampin up.I cheated and used gold letter stickers for the message.Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Christmas wishhes and dies 3 and 4..

IMG_6562IMG_6563My two Kaisercraft Christmas wishes cards today use very little paper, just some baubles fussy cut and the background paper for the reindeer. The main focus are the dies I used ,kaisercraft christmas ones from last year which cut beautifully. I added some bling  and some kindyglitz on the reindeer and some little bows on the christmas tree. These are the dies I was looking for the other day, I am glad to report they have turned up! I put them on the shelf behind my desk for easy access, clever idea if only I had remembered that! Til tomorrow….

Creating with Kays goodies..

IMG_0324 (Medium)I always enjoy going over to my sister Kays craft room, because she has so much more goodies than I do! ( I know!!), and she often says play with this and see what you come up with. On this particular day it was a Stampin Up die called Detailed Floral thinlet, and these were two of my creations. I used Night of navy and whisper white cardstock, and popped some gold card behind some of the detail on the card on the right, and followed the shape of the die cut on the card on the left for a bit of a border effect, white ribbon, touch of bling and a rose flower to finish off these rather elegant cards! Today I have been over at mums showing Mum and Kay how to watercolour with inks..this was necessary beacause Kay will be accompanying me on my cruise, and I am relying on her to help me teach my classes so she must know what we are doing!Anyway we had great fun,and now I am looking forward to spending an hour or so in the craft room after tea where I have a couple of orders to put together…til tomorrow….

Too Early for Christmas cards?

IMG_0326 (Medium)IMG_0308 (Medium)Is it too early for christmas cards? I was over at my sisters craft room a few weeks ago playing with all her new stampin Up products, and I made this card with some scrap cardstock and a couple of dies from the stampin up die sets – Birds and blooms, and Flourish, It wasn’t until I had made it that I thought it might be ok for christmas , I see though that the bling has moved around a bit so will fix that before I add it to the christmas box! And today a photo of a sleepy Luna, she was hanging around when we were taking the card photos!Til tomorrow….

Flash back Thursday!

IMG_8829 (Medium)welcome to flash back thursday! A short series of most popular cards I have posted on my blog! This one is actually more popular than the previuos flash back card, because it was made a couple of years later, and has had the same amount of views and pins etc..It’s all punching and embossing folders ( are we seeing a theme here?)The embossing folder is a stampin up folder, but a lot of the newer folders I have seen would give the same effect, and the lacy cardigan bits are made with my martha stewart lace doily punch.the card base was made with a pale pink cardstock to give the illusion of skin when the green cardstock was folded back.Til tomorrow….

Most viewed card…

IMG_0556 (Medium)Today we are having a flashback thursday! I thought it would be interesting to check out which card has been my most viewed/shared card and it is this one from June of 2011! It was made with stampin up cardstock, and the stampin up  blossom party die die set ( still a favourite die of mine)The leaves were  done with a stampin up sizzix leaf die, and I used assorted brads to hold the flowers together. very busy day off today , what with shopping and a trip to the dentist, the day is running away from me and not too much time left for the craft room. At least the weekend is in sight! til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug Wedding card idea

IMG_0864 (Medium)This is a card very similar to one of the cards my ladies made in a class last month. All white cardstock, and a piece of white cardstock run through a hearts embossing folder. For the cake I cut 3 squares – 5cm,4cm,and 3 cms and rounded the top corners of each, then stuck them together along the top edges of the squares. Mount on the card front with foam pads, add ribbon and punched flowers, some kaisercraft pearls, your own sentiment and this is a simple wedding card done!Off to work I go… til tomrrow…..
