I got a little distracted but we are back to my mens card series using Simple Stories Awesome paper. On both of the cards i used a Docrafts papermania stamp – happy Birthday, stamping it onto a few different pieces of paper and then cutting out the letters and reassembling it. I also used my spellbinders dies – Stars five and lacey Pennant for the banners and stars..Great paper for mens cards.Today nathan filmed me colouring my stamped images for a youtube video which will be up here tomorrow for those of you who have asked how I colour my stamped images.otherwise today I have been working on a secret project for my sisters upcoming BIG birthday. I have had this idea in my head for a while but found this week I couldn’t settle to anything so knew I had to sit down today and create it – it’s nearly finished I just have to find where I stored my hot glue gun….. Til tomorrow…

Magnolia Grove number 4
Hi I am back from my holiday, but I am glad to see that my blog managed to carry on without me! Today we are still carrying on with my Kaisercraft Magnolia Grove series – one left in this series, and then we move on – Todays card was made with the 12 x 12 papers in the collection and some bazill cardstock, and a vintage rose and ribbon. I die cut some flowers with my sizzix 3d flowers die and hand rolled them, and used my Dienamics Fancy Flourish die and spellbinders labels 14 die as well. The sentiment is stamped with a stamp from my Stampin Up perfectly penned set.Tonight I will be found in my craft room ( once I have found a home for all my new gooodies ) making a couple of cards for an order, then I really have to get organised for the big 3 day craft fair that I have a stall at this coming weekend – it’s all go here!…..Til tomorrow….
Elegant Bird number 2
This is the other card I made with my new Stampin Up Elegant Bird die. I cut this one out of an old cornflakes box, as I wanted a strong base for the crackle paint which I painted over the whole of the bird and wing and left over night to dry. It doesn’t show too well in the photo, but as the paint dries you get a lovely crackled effect. The background paper is from Stampin Up Twitterpated range, and I ran some pink Bazzil through the cuttlebug with my Craft Conceptes cottage floral embossing folder. I just had to add some lace, ribbon, Magnolia chandelier garland, and a strip of kaisercraft pearls.Had a lovely morning with my ladies, then this afternoon a short time in the craft room where I have been working with Kaisercrafts new release, but I am afraid my mind rebelled, and I found myself packing away the muted tones and digging out my brightest ribbons and buttons and papers to come up with some very bright and sunny cards, which we will photo next week when I am on Holiday ( Yay…) Til tomorrow….
Apothecary Art number 3
Here is number 3 in my Stampin Up Apothecary art stamp set series. I have used my Stampin Up blossom party die to make the flowers, and die cut the leaves with my Meadow leaf memory box die. Also used on this card are – Stampin Up twitterpated designer paper, Drifting Endless embossing folder by Couture creations, a Martha stewart punch, and My Minds Eye brads. The stamped image was die cut with Stampin Up Labels collection . The Stampin Up cardstock is Basic grey and Blushing Bride. Tonight i intend to spend a little time in the card room coming up with some new designs – I have finally prepared all my lessons for the next couple of months, so now to fill the market boxes! Til tomorrow….
Quick and easy Cuttlebug card
This is a quick and easy card, made using a variety of dies through my cuttlebug . I love these colours together, but I think the design would also work with yellows and oranges for a brighter card – I will try it…. The cardstock I have used is Stampin Up wisteria Wonder, and bazill card for the rest. The paper is Melissa Francis, and the dies I used – Stampin Up blossom Party , Memory box – meadow leaf and La Rue flourish. The flower is held together with a Kaisercraft brad.I have had very early starts at work this week, so not too much crafting in the evenings as I am tired and looking forward to the end of next week when I start a months holidays..but I will create a card or two tonight. Til tomorrow….
Cuttlebug and dies
I still have a couple of my prima meadow lark series to show but we will get back to them. Today ( and tomorrow) I wanted to show the final few cards I made with the last of my American crafts Neapolitan paper collection. For those that have been following you will remember that I used it in my scarp series. I had just a little left over and so decided to finish the bits and pieces left. Altogether I made 19 cards out of my 4 sheets of paper which I was quite surprised about. So, todays card made using a variety of dies and my cuttlebug and American crafts Neapolitan paper, and a list of dies – Moonlight butterfly, kaliedoscope butterfly, amani circle, meadow leaf ( all by memory box) spellbinders scalloped circles, and Stampin Up Party Blossom . The sentiment was all Stampin Up products – Decorative label punch,Four frames stamp set and petite pairs stamp set. Speaking of which my siser Kay brought me some new products this morning and I have had a great afternoon inking ,stamping , colouring and die cutting – the best way to spend an afternoon! Til tomorrow….
Mainly cuttlebug 7
Todays card is one I made, being inspired from a craft magazine, but I didn’t have any of the dies they used so I adapted what I had here. I think it turned out quite well…The list of products used – Prima Sparkling spring papers, sizzix die – tatttered florals, leaves punched with Stampin Up bird punch ( wouldn’t be without that punch!), birdcage – cricut cartridge “Serenade” and lightly inked, spellbinders – Bird sanctuary ( for the birds which I sponged inked for colour) and Twisted metal tags. I hand cut the branch and lightly inked it, and finished with kaisercraft pearls and perfect pearls. Now today I am finishing off and order and then I have 4 new paper collections to play with over the week end so looking forward to a crafty weekend! Til tomorrow…..
My new Dies!
I purchased a few new dies for my cuttlebug a couple of weeks ago, and here I have used them all on the one card…. The paper I used is Kaisercraft Madame boutique, and I made the floral accent in the corner with my Martha Stewart deep edge punch and topped it with a resin flower from kaisercraft. The Doily die is Kiwi from Cheery Lyn designs, the scroll is Faunterleroy crest from memory box, and the ribbon buckle is Locina Buckle also by Memory box.
Great fun, I can’t wait til I have a bit more time to play some more with them… Til tomorrow…
Umbrella man…
I have put up 2 photos today, because I wanted to show the inside of this card. On the front I have used a cuttlebug embossing folder – clockworks, and 2 Tim Holtz sizzix dies – lampost and Umbrella man – I love him…..The clock face he is looking at is cut from a piece of Kaisercraft acrylic . I smudged a little distress ink along the bottom and on the light, and there is a circle die cut frame which was handily on my craft table at the time….For the inside I printed a favourite quote and the paper backing is kaisercraft Timeless. The cardstock used today is C’oredinations. I have had a very productive day in the craft room today, and have planned out my lessons for March at Paper Flourish, and set up the February lesson for the Village ladies.Makes up for all the time spent away from my room because of the heat.Til tomorrow….
New cuttlebug card
Todays card is the new design I was working on the other day.I have used attorted stampin up cardstock and my circle nestabilities to make an assortment of different coloured and sizes of circles and then randomly stuck them onto more cardstock before placing the whole lot into an embossing folder and ran it through the cuttlebug. I used a stampin up embossing folder but I also tried it with the swiss dots folder and the effect was just as good. it’s as if the circles are printed onto the cardstock- you’d never guess they were stuck on – you will have to try it to see what I mean! You could use this technique with all kinds of shapes – stars, flowers etc.. I’ll show you another one tomorrow Til then…..
