Still working on our sketch series for using scraps, and here i have cut 3 2 cm wide strips at varying lengths and cut a V into the bottom of them, used my labels 14 spellbinders to die cut a couple of labels, layered them together and threaded seam binding through them and tied a big bow. Added a button and twine to finish. The paper is still my 2 pieces of Stampin Up Everyday enchantment, and I matted the design on to Stampin Up Pool party. for the second card I used American crafts neapolitan paper and substituted the seam binding for ribbon, and the button for a kaisercraft flower.here the cardstock is Stampin Up Certainly celery and blushing Bride. I am offf tonight to teach a class over at the Village… so looking forward to it – we always have a good laugh… Til tomorrow…..

Sketch series for using scraps number 3

Her is number 3 in my sketch series using scraps. The top card is everyday enchantment designer series paper by Stampin Up as is the cardstock – Pool party. I used my tim Holtz sizzix tattered floral die and cut some pages from an old misprinted book, a scalloped edge punch and a pearl brad. The strips were cut 2 cms wide, I varied the length just a little and cut a V into the bottom of them. The second card follows the sketch exactly, and I used American crafts Neapolitan paper, stampin Up crumbcake cardstock for the base and some Bazzil for the mat. This is a favourite sketch and I can imagine it done with some vintage paper and lots of lace instead of the scalloped edge….. Til tomorrow….
English rose … the last I promise….
I farewelled this paper some time ago, but Nathan and Ididn’t take any photos this weekend, and I was going back through my files to see what hadn’t been posted yet, and I found this group of cards, which is – I promise – the last of kaisercraft English rose paper ( mainly because I haven’t got any of that paper left) and a collection of ribbon and flowers, and some sizzix tattered florals made with my cuttlebug.I am looking forward to spending a few hours in the craft room tonight, I really haven’t had time for a nice long card making session all week, and have quite a few ideas I want to try out. Til tomorrow….
Howdy Doody 4
Very quick post before i have to go and prepare tea.. This is the final in the My Minds Eye Howdy Doody series, for now. I combined the lovely paper with a Stamp from Stampin Up – Fresh Vintage, and coloured it with markers. I also used a Cheery Lyn die – Kiwi, ans a spellbinders label die, through my cuttlebug. I just added some liquid pearls and some seam binding. The gorgeous brad is from the My Minds eye howdy doody collection as well. Today I have been taking advantage of my holidays and doing some experimenting in the craft room… Til tomorrow….
Card full of nature….
I have used a few bits and pieces on todays card …. the background paper is a retired stampin up design, and the cute bird is Stampin Up – young Vermillion. The butterflies are stamped with Bo Bunny stamps, and the leaves are a sizzix stampin Up die. I dyed the stampin up cream seam binding with certainly celery ink, and I die cut a tag with a cuttlebug die and stamped it too – not sure which stamp – wish I could remember cos it looks o.k.! The swirly die on the side is my Fauntleroy crest die by memory box. IÂ coloured the stamped images with inkpads and daubers. A very easy way to add some colour to your stamped image.I have spent a lot of time in the craft room today – but haven’t cut into any paper! I have been experimenting with new stamp sets, and getting very inky fingers. Hopefully tomorrow Nathan can do some photos and I will be able to show you… Til tomorrow…
Hummingbird 4
A very late post tonight, but now I can say I am holidays ! Yay! we are still with kaisercraft hummingbird collection, and I also used the matching collectables, a kaisercraft sparklet, and rhinestones. I die cut the rosette with my cuttlebug and tim holtz sizzix die. This will be the last in the hummingbird series for a little while , I actually found this paper to be quite challenging, and when that happens ( not often thankfully) I find it is best to put it away for a while . Quite often in the meantime I have purchased something – A new die, or stamp etc, which is just what the said difficult paper needs.I am looking forward to 2 weeks of crafting and relaxing… Til tomorrow…..
Engagement card
Hello and welcome to my new follower! This is a card i was working on over the weekend, and is for a friend at work. I used assorted bazil, lace, flowers, Magnolia drops, liquid pearls, spellbinders circles and labels seventeen. There is a delicate swirly thing on the side which was cut on my cuttlebug with a memory box die called Fauntleroy crest ,( my favourite die at the moment) ans the leaves were punched out with my Stampin Up bird punch. The champagne glasses are a stamp that comes from the stampin Up Cheers to you stamp set. While I had it out I stamped out quite a few images with it – it has a variety of different shaped glasses, and today I spent a lovely while in the craft room making a few cards with them.I will go back into the craft room for a little while after tea as I still have a few Wedding cards to make. Til tomorrow….
My new Dies!
I purchased a few new dies for my cuttlebug a couple of weeks ago, and here I have used them all on the one card…. The paper I used is Kaisercraft Madame boutique, and I made the floral accent in the corner with my Martha Stewart deep edge punch and topped it with a resin flower from kaisercraft. The Doily die is Kiwi from Cheery Lyn designs, the scroll is Faunterleroy crest from memory box, and the ribbon buckle is Locina Buckle also by Memory box.
Great fun, I can’t wait til I have a bit more time to play some more with them… Til tomorrow…
Wedding Card and Cuttlebug
I got the idea for this card from a magazine, but I didn’t have any of the supplies they used so I improvised and this is what I came up with… the list of products used is quite long so here goes… I used Pearlescent cardstock in pink,my Tim holtz sizzix vintage car die through my cuttlebug, spellbinders die labels 14,tattered florals sizzix die, banner cut using my cricut and Heritage cartridge,Prima Botanicals patterned paper, Stampin Up Perfectly penned and Marry Me stamps for sentiments, and various flowers, ribbon and a Maya road stick pin.Every thing was inked around the edges with victorian velvet distress ink.I have spent a lovely day in the craft room, it’s a lot cooler here today, back to work tomorrowbut it’s been a lovely 5 day break.. Cuttlebug card no.6
A very early post today as I have a retirement village class tonight. I found some Basic Grey paper that I have had for a long time ( Basic grey Mellow) and thought it would make a great male card. I teamed it up with my sizzix rosettte die, and my new nestabilities nested lacey pennants. The cardstock I used was stampin Up early Espresso, and the ribbon and bakers twine are also from Stampin Up. The greetings stamps used were from stampin Up sets – birthday whimsy and riveting.
