Graphic 45 raining Cats and dogs.2 and 3 ..step it up!

IMG_1782 (Medium)IMG_1783 (Medium)For something a little different, I decided to take the same image from Graphic 45 Raining cats and Dogs paper collection, and make three cards ( two shown today and the last one next time) and make a basic card, then step it up for each card. the top card is the first card. Some basic layering ( I like the sketch – will use this again)and this one was quick and easy. For the bottom card ( second in my step it up series) I used the same papers and layout, but added some fussy cut flowers, and a ribbon bow. I will show the third one next time..Very hot here today, have a big order to do but will have to wait til the weather is a bit cooler..Til tomorrow….

Echo park teenagers number 6 and 7

IMG_1775 (Medium)IMG_1776 (Medium)Here are the last two cards I made using Echo park Teenagers paper, and a collection of stampin up cardstock.Brilliantly easy paper to work with, and I will be keeping my eyes open for more paper like this for boys cards! Til tomorrow…..

Echo Park teenagers number 5

IMG_1774 (Medium)Todays card made with echo park teenagers paper collection is based on the game tetris..I just cut out the squares from one of the papers, and stuck them onto the card front. A bit of corner rounding and some layering of paper and cardstock and this was a really quick and easy card to make! I have spent most of the day in the craft room using up some old papers, and listening to ABC radio where there has been constant updates on the bushfires that are burning out of control on the very outskirts of our beautiful town. Many of my friends and a couple of relatives have had to evacuate from their homes, and it has been a worrying day for all of us here in Adelaide. The weather til now has been extremely hot, although as I type the wind is raging, temperature has dropped a little and I hear thunder in the distance. Let’s hope there is a lot of rain with that thunder! Til tomorrow…

Echo Park Teenagers 3 and 4

IMG_1772 (Medium)IMG_1773 (Medium)Two cards today, because I don’t think I will get back here tomorrow .. I have a really long day at work getting ready for the back to school sale..always something!… Todays two cards are still made using Echo park teenagers paper collection. as I mentioned before, I only bought a couple of sheets of this collection, but if I see it again I will be buying more as it is so easy to make those difficult teen boy cards with this paper. The bottom card has a bit of fussy cutting, and I layered everything with Stampin up cardstock – tangerine tango and Mossy meadow which matches in perfectly with the colours. For now though, it’s back to the craft room where the decluttering has commenced, although I must admit I get very easily distracted so it could be quite a long job and you may be seeing some cards made with older paper collections in the near future! til tomorrow ….

Echo Park teenagers number 2

IMG_1771 (Medium)Echo Park teenagers paper collection, just a bit of layering and fussy cutting and some corner rounding to add a bit of interest. this one was made for my nephews birthday today, but Nathan pointed out when he photographed it that I had stuck the tv on the front of the card upside down! Oh well we all make mistakes, and it will be interesting to see if my nephew notices! Til tomorrow….

Echo Park teenagers number 1

IMG_1770 (Medium)Still on  teen boy type cards, but a different paper company – Echo Park teenagers. I only bought 3 sheets of this paper, but managed to make quite a few cards with them. For this one I used the sheet that had quite a few different images on it, and also fussy cut the banners from another square and added them underneath. Found a good use for a lovely big yellow button, and mounted it all on a card base made with some stampin up cardstock!Til tomorrow……

Prima Seashore collection number 2

IMG_1754 (Medium)First of all and straight off the bat, a mistake! last nights post wasn’t Kaisercraft sandy toes …it was Prima Seashore collection!A mistake on my part, and I can only blame tiredness.. working retail at Christmas is taking it’s toll, and I am so glad I only have one more day before a 4 day break.So. Tonights card is also Prima Seashore collection – the 12 x 12 papers, and I used a stampin up boat stamp on the paper panel, and added a little more blue distress ink around the stamped image. A bit of fussy cutting and a piece of linen thread to finish.Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft sandy toes number 1

IMG_1753 (Medium)As today is so hot here I thought it would be a good idea to put up a card that makes me feel cool while I look at it! The paper collection is a new release from Kaisercraft – Sandy toes, and is full of lovely patterns and cool colours.I inked around all my edges with shades of blue and green distress ink, and added a bit more colour to the panel with the ship on it too.Wound a little linen thread around my main panel, and added a charm to finish.I am off now to finish wrapping some presents, and then I think I am all organised for Christmas! til tomorrow…..

Pink Paislee Bella Rouge and C C Designs stamp

IMG_1762 (Medium)Two very similar cards today, both made with pink paislee bella Rouge  paper collection, and stamped with C C Designs Cupcake Birgitta stamp. I coloured the image with Kaiserfusion markers, and added assorted flowers and a ribbon bow. the spellbinders dies I used were Timeless Triangles and opulent Ovals.Such a busy time of the year! No time for crafting so far this weekend, but I am going to go now and sit down with some stamped out images and my bottles of re-inkers and relax in front of the tv and do some colouring so that when I do get back to the craft room I have some images coloured and ready to go!Til tomorrow…..
