Here is the last of the Merry and Magical series.. I have a few more but next week we will move on otherwise we will still be looking at Christmas cards next Easter!! The whole series is on my instagram account at helengreco30. We have had some very wild weather here this week, not at all usual for this time of year..the hailstones were as big as golfballs, the wind was 100kph and the damage has been phenomenal. We were lucky, nothing to report, but my mum and dad who live just down the road have a lot of damage to their back verandah so I will be sorting that out for them next week. In the meantime, today is a nice mild day, I have a roast in the oven, I have been crafting this morning so all is well! Til next time, stay safe….
I have made many cards with this collection from Uniquely Creative called drive and fly. I love the little metal tools they have released as well! I have put all this away for now though and I am deep into the Christmas card makes which we will start looking at next time! Til then though, stay safe…
The last couple of weeks have been spent replenishing my stock of mens cards. I used a paper collection and matching creative cuts from Uniquely creative called Drive and Fly. There are also cars and motorbike imagery in this collection…we will get to those cards next week! I added lots of gears and cogs, and and enamel dots for a little texture, but the papers did the heavy lifting on these cards. I have moved on to Christmas cards, and we will get to them in a couple of weeks. I have also been busy preparing another class for my village ladies, they are asking for Christmas cards so its getting to feel a lot like Christmas around here! Til next time, stay safe…
I made a few cards with Uniquely Creative Fresh Folk paper collection. I used most of this collection to decorate my album, but managed to squeeze a few cards out of the remaining scraps! There are so many fussy cut elements in this paper collection I didn’t have to add anything more than a a few glass domes, and one ribbon bow! I have been busy sorting out all my Christmas papers and I took a lot over to the village ladies when I taught their class last Friday. I am now ready to start this years Christmas cards! The weather here has turned to spring and its lovely, the bulbs are flowering and the blossoms are out on the fruit trees, lawns are being mowed, and spirits are lifting! My crafting plans for today : use up some more paper to make space for new stuff! Til next time, stay safe..
As the title says… a mixed bag today! The two lower cards were cards I prepared for a Retirement Village class, and were put together with Uniquely Creative Tranquility papers. The first card is made with Uniquely Creative Dreamer paper collection, ( I do like this card and may have to keep it!). I have had a lovely crafty week. I am immersed in mens cards, and I have started decorating the pages of my album with lots of pockets and tags to accommodate all the cute puppy pictures! Til next time..stay safe..
This weeks cards are made with Graphic 45 Elegance paper collection. I haven’t added anything except for a couple of fabric flowers on the top card, and a string of beads on the lower card. The paper does all the work in this beautiful collection, and I have enjoyed doing a little fussy cutting. This week has been a busy week with appointments now that we are out of lockdown, so I haven’t done as much crafting as I would like but this coming week looks like it will be a little more relaxing! Til next time, stay safe….
Here are three more cards made with Uniquely Creative Tranquility paper collection and matching Creative cuts. I haven’t added anything else except for a little lace and bling on the first card, flowers on the second and a ribbon bow and bling on the third. This paper really doesn’t need anything else. I have put this paper away for now, as I have a build up of papers I haven’t used yet but I will definitely be returning to this one. We are in a strict lockdown here, and the weather has been stormy ,so I have been busy sorting out photos for an album I am planning to make. In my head its all done but now its a matter of actually creating it! I have never done this before so it’s certainly going to be interesting! Til next time, stay safe….
This weeks cards are made with Uniquely Creative Tranquility papers and matching creative cuts. I have done a little fussy cutting, but haven’t added too much extra..just a little bling as these beautiful papers don’t need much extra! This week I have been focusing on preparing a retirement village lesson, and it has been freezing here this week so a few days not moving far from the heater. My mind is preoccupied with making some sort of mini flip album, its all in my head at the moment, I will take photos as I start to construct it for a future post all going well! til next time, stay safe….
This week I made half a dozen folding box cards. These cards are terrific because they fold flat into a normal envelope, and are quite easy to make once you have the hang of the measurements. I have made a youtube video showing how to make, and all the measurements you need. You will find it on Youtube at Helens Card Designs. The papers I have used are from Uniquely Creative and the collection is called Tranquility. This paper was perfect as it has lots of images the right size for the boxes, and the mix of flowers, butterflies and birds allows a good choice to put in your box. I have had a busy couple of weeks.. I taught my retirement village ladies, just got that class in before we all went on restrictions again due to covid. Luckily so far we have avoided an outbreak in our state, but I certainly feel for the other states who are confined to home again. That is when our hobby becomes a sanity saver! the weather has certainly turned to winter, and the heater is running here a lot, but I do not complain about the cold weather and the nice drop of rain we have had. Til next time, stay safe…
The last two cards made with the Uniquely Creative Wild collection are a total break from the Dinosaurs, much more feminine and very simple. I used an embossing folder on the top card, and some frondy leaf dies on the lower card. I haven’t done much crafting this week as my husband has been very ill in hospital. He is home now but very weak, so I am playing nurse. The one good thing is we are all out of isolation, so life will gradually get back to new normal. til next time, stay safe….
