A quick sympathy card

Todays’ card was one I taught over at the retirement village. I always keep sympathy cards simple. Stampin Up cardstock – white and bashful blue, and Stampin Up stamp set.I didn’t have a square stamp so I used a piece of foam offcut for the shape behind the flower. Quick post this morning, time for work…til tomorrow….IMG_9561 (Medium)

A wish for Peace stamp set

IMG_9563 (Medium)Every year one of the first Christmas cards I make is with this stamp set from Stampin Up called A wish for Peace. It’s quite a few years old, but I like the challenge of finding something new to do with it every year. This year I used Stampin up cardstock and embossed the top layer with a cuttlebug Christmas folder after die cutting a circle from the middle of it. I stamped the image on the base card, and added lots of glitter to it once the ink had dried. The holly was die cut with a sizzix die. This was a simple make and would work with lots of my Christmas stamps.A few christmas items trickling through now, and I have spent all weekend working with Kaisercraft silver bells paper collection – My favourite so far this year! til tomorrow….

happy 1st of spring day!!

IMG_9555 (Medium)Happy 1st of spring day ( or Autumn day if you are a visitor from the northern hemisphere). the weather here is glorious… my kind of weather, not too hot, sun shining, I can feel my bones thawing out! todays card is made with Kaisercraft botanica collection – the 12 x 12 papers, and I fussy cut the flower stem from some of the paper. Added a doily, ribbon bow and inked all the edges with tea dye ink. This one was a class card,as were the previous two shown. well, time for work, til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Botanica number 2…

IMG_9553 (Medium)For my second Kaisercraft Botanica card I used a lilac card blank, and did some layering and fussy cutting to finish. the word Friend came from another piece of the same collection. I have spent a little time in the craft room today and I have been making a few more cards with this collection,it is lovely. I have moved on now to some graphic 45 gilded lily cards because I havent made any with all the paper I bought in that collection and thought I had better get started! all in all a great crafty day! IMG_9543 (Medium)Kaisercraft Little one paper collection – the 6″ pad and matching collectables with a touch of ribbon! I really enjoyed playing with this collection, although i have only made a few cards so far, they are very different from my usual vintage style baby cards. Love the colours! today I am finally enjoying some time in the craft room, finding my chriatmas mojo. It’s all coming back to me! The weather here is very distracting, the sun is shining, the bees are buzzing about and blossom is exploding on some of the fruit trees, it’s lovely just sitting out in the garden feeling the sun on my face! til tomorrow….

IMG_9542 (Medium)A month or two ago I bought the kaisercraft Little One collection, and although I haven’t had much card making time recently I have managed to make a few cards from this collection. Here is the first one. A mix of papers from the 6″ pad and a piece of 12 x 12 paper and some collectables. I added some buttons, linen thread and ribbon to finish. The cardstock is stampin up . I have done a little card making today, sorted a class for Ocober and have been playing with some new stamps. I am going to stamp out some more images and sit in front  of the tv tonight and colour them in ready for cards tomorrow ! til tomorrow….

More fathers day card ideas

IMG_9546 (Medium)IMG_9547 (Medium)Todays two cards are made with a few different items from my craft room – Kaisercraft blue Bay paper collection ( and I fussy cut the frames from the same collection) a stampin up tool set stamp set, kaszazz pocket stamp stamped onto denim paper by October Afternoon, and a couple of silver brads on the pocket corners.the greetings were stamps pulled from my shelf. younger boy birthday card…

IMG_5146 (Medium)I showed a card similar to this that I made for my great nephews 1st birthday, and while I had everything out I whipped up another one to put in my box. For this one I substituted the die cut balloon for big bold buttons and lots of bakers twine. The paper is Stampin up cherry on Top, I fussy cut the scallops down the side, and the Elephant is a stamp from stampin Up Zoo babies set. I taught a class this morning, lovely group of ladies, and while there I picked up a new Kaiser die ( well 3 but this one in particular) – it was the poinsetta die, so I can’t wait to start creating with it. Sometimes it just takes something new to get you into the Christmas spirit!! til tomorrow….

Golfing Tom.

IMG_5145 (Medium)A male card today, The stamp is called Golfing Tom and it is from C.C.Designs. I stamped onto copic blending card and coloured with my copic markers, then mounted on two shades of card from Stampin up. this one was a nice quick card, and the stamp is big enough to stamp onto patterned paper and fussy cut if you don’t want to colour..something I will try next time I have it out on the craft table! For now though, it’s off to work I go..til tomorrow…
