Three cards today, all made with Kaisercraft greenhouse 6″ paper pad and matching collectables. Nothing else was added to these ones except a tiny bit of bling on the top card, and a gorgeous die cut ( made with Uniquely creative Succulents die) on the middle card. Of course I loved all the fussy cutting potential of these papers!. As my thoughts turn to Christmas cards I am getting itchy fingers to dig out all my xmas dies and stamps, but I am still working on my cruise cards. I have about three weeks of prep to do for them and then look out Christmas here I come!!Til next time…..

Graphic 45 Lost in Paradise

I couldn’t resist the Lost in paradise collection by graphic 45…Flowers, birds and butterflies..Love it! Here are the first two cards I made with it once I had done a lot of fussy cutting. No fussy cutting on these ones though! I folded a double zig zag card and only used the papers – no bling , ribbon or lace needed on these ones. So quick and simple! this week has been all about cruise class prep as the next few weeks will be until the 5 classes are all sorted. two prepared ..three to go! Til next week…
Graphic 45 Flutter.
I couldn’t resist making and exploding card when I saw the range of Graphic 45 Flutter..Butterflies everywhere! I have a you tube video on my you tube channel that shows step by step how to make this exploding box which folds down to fit into a normal sized envelope. The link is over there on the right of your screen! I have been crafting a lot this week but its all for the cruise I am teaching on in December. I haven’t had much notice really, and have to prepare 5 classes, but I am so excited to be going on the Vasco Da Gama, and being December this time I can do some Christmas cards! I have lots of other things coming up too, but more of that later! Til Next time,….
Stampin Up Bird Ballad..
Last weekend was my sister Kays’ birthday, and I made her this card using Stampin Up Bird Ballad papers , and the associated stamp set, for two reasons…she is a keen photographer of birds, and she is a Stampin up demonstrator and the person I get all my Stampin Up supplies from. I stamped the birds, and coloured them with Copic Markers, and fussy cut some flowers from the designer papers from the Bird Ballad collection. The background paper is also from the same collection. I love this set, and have prepared a lesson for my ladies using it.The time this year is flying by, and my thoughts have now turned to Christmas cards..can’t wait to start creating some cards using new releases..first will be Prima I think.. will keep you posted! Til next time…
Mintay Secret Place 3 and 4….

As promised I am back with the other two Mintay Secret Place cards that I made. A lot of fussy cutting on these two!. On the top card I added lace, a metal piece cut in half ( the other half is on the lower card and that is a good trick to extend your stash)and the resin frame is one I made . The second card has a little die cut flourish and a couple of layered banner tags cut from tiny scraps tucked under the metal. Seeing these cards again makes me itch to get this paper out again and start creating, but I am busy today putting some card kits together…Til next time..
Mintay Secret place 1 and 2..

Today’s cards are made with a gorgeous paper range by Mintay called Secret Place. I have only made a few cards with this range so far, ( will show two more next time) and they all sold at my recent craft fair. The top card is just layers of the paper, the window is fussy cut and opens up, and I just added a little lace, flowers and greenery. The lower card also has built up layers, and I added a bird I made in my mold, painted it with irridescent medium, the chipboard corners are by Scrapiniec and painted with Prima alchemy paints, and then just a couple of flowers and die cut greenery. We have hyad beautiful weather this week, although it is meant to be the middle of winter so i have spent hours out in the garden, and not many hours at the craft table, but plan to get lots done this week! Til next time….
Stampin Up Back on your Feet..

I have had great fun this week colouring the stamped images from a stamp set by Stampin Up called back on Your Feet, and then fussy cutting the images and turning them into cards. The cards on left were coloured with watercolours and the cards on the right were done with Copic colours. The papers were bits and pieces from lots of different companies. I have a box of 6″ pads and I just flipped through these to find what I wanted to use. The die cut shapes were foam mounted on to the card fronts to give a bit of dimension. As well as playing with this stamp set this week I have been preparing some lessons, ready for August when Helens classes will start! Til next time….
Prima Poetic Rose
Todays card is one I made with Prima poetic Rose. I have made more with this paper but they are waiting to be photoed! I had two layers, inked around with Frayed Burlap distress ink, and added some fussy cutting and ephemera on top. there is a little metal piece tucked in behind, and some little leaves die cut in gold foil. The two big flowers are from prima, and the smaller ones are from Iamroses. Lace and greeting to finish. Although I am retired now I still intend to teach cardmaking, so this week has been spent preparing lessons and finding a lesson venue. I am going to check one next week, so it won’t be long before I have an exciting announcement to make! So looking forward to getting back into the classroom! til tomorrow….
More Mintay Birdsong…

Four cards today, made with a couple of pieces of MIntay by Carola Birdsong paper. This is my favourite paper so far this year, and I did these cards for a lesson I taught at paper flourish. Lots of lovely fussy cutting, a little bit of rhinestone bling, and some layering and inking of edges with frayed Burlap distress ink pad. I have not had time to be bored in retirement yet! Last weekend was the three day craft fair, and I sold many cards, caught up with lots of friends and customers, and thoroughly enjoyed myself! the rest of this week has been busy packing away the craft fair things, and I have some new papers from graphic 45 ( Lost in paradise) which I have been fussy cutting..gorgeous papers!Til next time…..
Circle cards..

Todays cards were ones I came up with for a class, using kaisercraft Scrapyard papers. They were all made using circle nesting dies to cut the shapes. They are self explanatory, and I didn’t add anything to them except for some rhinestones and greetings, everything was fussy cut from the papers. Today is set up day for the weekend craft fair, I am so looking forward to catching up with everyone who stops by! It is very cold here in Adelaide just now so I may have to take a knee rug with me..it’s always cold in the basketball courts! Til next time….
