again this card could be used for a few different celebrations – Anniversary, wedding or engagement. The paper collection is Kaisercraft on this day, and I have used a bit of a 12 x 12 sheet for the background, and some collectables and ribbon. Kaisercraft on This day number 2
A couple of weeks ago I decided I had to make some wedding, engagement and anniversary cards for my boxes( The fair I am doing in June is not far away now and I have to fill those boxes!)and I pulled out this paper – Kiasercraft On This day. Up til now I hadn’t done much with it, so I went to town and I have a few cards in this series to show you over thew next few days. For this card I used the 6″ paper pad, and matching collectaboles, as well as a lovely satin ribbon, and it’s all mounted on stampin up cardstock. today meanwhile, I have dug deep into the paper archives looking for papers to make little girl cards, ( there’s not much in there for this genre!)and I have made a dozen, which Nathan and I will photo tomorrow.Til tomorrow….
Porcelain rose number 15
I can’t beleive we are up to number 15 in this series! This paper – kaisercraft Porcelain Rose truly inspired me! I think it was because there were a few different colourways in it, and I am particularly fond of this one – black ,white and red. The papers used here are from the 6″ pad, and i added a rose from the collectables, and a die cut heart which I ran through the cuttlebug in an embossing folder. I used some black lace and liquid pearls to finish. Today has been all about christmas with some new papers I bought yesterday, and tomorrow will be a big photo day to get them all onto the computer. An Engagement card today..
I made an engagement card with Porcelain rose ( kaisercraft) paper and a couple of the matching collectables. The die used is Spellbinders floral oval, and I added daisy trim and clear rhinestones to finish. I do like the black white and red colour scheme on this one. I have been busy in the craft room today, with more than one project on the go which is unusual for me – I do like to finish one ideas before I move on, but so many thoughts swirling around I had to get them all down and still have one colour scheme to try. lemon and grey – I think it will look ok but we will see! the other things I have been up to are two pieces of canvas art which are drying as we speak and quite a few cards using kaisercrafts new true Romance papers – gorgeous soft pastel colours on that one.Til tomorrow….
Engagement card – After 5
Todays card is an Engagement card made with Kaisercraft After 5 papers from the 6′ paper pad, spellbinders Floral ovals die, and just a bit of ribbon, lace,and some flowers ( Prima) and pearls. I have been in the craft room a little while today, just finishing up some projects – all my lessons for July are done and I am back to trying to use up some older paper collections to make room for more new stuff! I chose this card to show tonight, because I think it shows a nice layout ( sketch) idea that you could adapt for any card. I have started with a base card of stampin Up early espresso cardstock, and the papers I have used are kaisercraft The Lake House ( this is card number 12 for those of you counting!)The first layer was cut only a little smaller than the base card, and I used a circle punch to chomp out the corners. The next layer was quite a bit smaller, and again I chomped the corners.I used a pre printed panel from one of the 12 x 12 sheets in the collection,and stuck a collectable across it, but you could achieve the same look by using your dies and cuttlebug. All that remained was to die cut some flowers ( I used Stampin Up blossom Party and sizzix tim holtz tattered flower garland)Â add a grey satin bow, and a bit of perfect pearls.I am still thawing out from my day at the market, and as it was a very early start ,it will be early to bed for me tonight! The Lake House number 7
here is the last of my Kaisercraft The Lake House collection. I used the 6″ pad, a pice of the 12 x 12 paper ( this is a great sheet, full of labels) and a couple of the collectables from the matching collection. The cardstock is stampin Up early Espresso, and I die cut the flowers using my cuttlebug and Stampin Up blossom party die and tim Holtz sizzix tattered florals garland die. I only had to add a ribbon bow and liquid pearls and it was finished! Tonight I am making a start on Fathers day cards – I have some ideas so should have a good crafty session tonight! Til tomorrow…
