IMG_2188IMG_2190This weekend i received my new Uniquely Creative Winter Rose collection in the mail, so everything was put on hold while I fussycut elements, gathered matching cardstock and flowers and started to create! These are the very first two cards I made, using papers, creative cuts, and on the happy birthday card a glitter die cut using Uniquely Creative Flourish die, and a clear dome in the flower centre. The second card is all ready for dads fathers day card.. being scottish he will love the stag! I am off now to make more with this stunning paper collection! Til next time, stay safe…

Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 3 and 4

IMG_6556IMG_6557Here are the other two cards I made with Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 6″ paper pad. I used a kaisercraft die on the top card, with a couple of the pop outs from the back of the pad, and for the bottom card I used a sizzix hats and moustaches die with a couple of wobbly eyes. Today is the start of Christmas cards!! I have spent the morning going through my boxes finding all my dies, embossing folders, and stamps with a christmas theme, but i have been distracted because I can’t find two new kaisercraft dies..I had them recently because I used them on the next group of cards I am showing you, but they have disappeared! I have decided to stop looking and they will show up when I least expect it..That’s the theory anyway! Til tomorrow….

Fathers day ideas..

IMG_6552IMG_6553Fathers day is not too far away, so I have been making a few fathers day cards. These two are made with a Close to my Heart stamp set.. I haven’t tried this company before, and I am quite impressed with quality and price. The set includes quite a few stamps, including the bow tie and moustache on the bottom card, and the bottle of Pop on the top card. The papers I used are from Stampin Up, an older designer series called confetti celebration. Another new purchase I was trying out is the Enamel Accents on the top card. These are little bottles of liquid which drops out of the bottle beautifully and hardens like enamel. They take a while to dry, ideally left over night. I have a few colours, and very tempted to buy some more! I coloured the bottLe of Pop with copic markers, and didn’t need to colour the bottom card ..that’s how it stamped out. Til tomorrow…..

Graphic 45 Safari Adventure.1.

IMG_0341 (Medium)Today we start a new series! Graphic 45 Safari Adventure. Graphic 45 have made it really easy to make cards with this collection.A lot of the images cover the whole card ( like this one) and I just added a flag pennant, hessian strip and button for some texture.I have a couple of tiger fanatics in the family so I will be putting some of the tiger cards I make aside for birthdays. After a marathon session I have made the prototypes for my cruise classes, I am all carded out, and I am looking forward to sitting down with a good book!Til tomorrow…

More fathers day card ideas

IMG_9546 (Medium)IMG_9547 (Medium)Todays two cards are made with a few different items from my craft room – Kaisercraft blue Bay paper collection ( and I fussy cut the frames from the same collection) a stampin up tool set stamp set, kaszazz pocket stamp stamped onto denim paper by October Afternoon, and a couple of silver brads on the pocket corners.the greetings were stamps pulled from my shelf. Early start today, so early finish and now I am off to catch up on a little sleep – nanna nap time! til tomorrow…

recycled floppy discs….

IMG_9548 (Medium)The other day Nathan brought me some old floppy discs and asked if I could recycle them. Why, yes.Yes I can. Inside the plastic cover ( which I prised open with a pair of scissors) was this floppy ( the floppy in the name floppy disc) which looked to me just like a miniature record, and so this card idea was born. The papers I used were Crate paper toy box, and I made the record player needle and arm from some silver and black cardstock. there is a silver brad in the middle of the “record” and I punched a silver circle for a volume button. The letter stickers are from the same paper collection. Hopefully Nathan finds more discs, because I really enjoyed making these cards! Til tomorrow…..

motorbike card

IMG_5345 (Medium)Still on the male card theme, tonight I have used a stamp that I bought from Stampin Up along with some Stampin Up designer paper. The style is the same for both cards, I just mixed it up with the papers ans did a lot of matting! Stamps like these are very handy for those hard to do mens cards!Tonight I have moved my crafting to the dining room table – more room! and I have taken the heater with me so I am all set for a marathon crafting session. Til tomorrow….

Two cards tonight!

IMG_2868 (Medium)IMG_2869 (Medium)Due to all the posts i have missed because of the loss of our internet over the last few weeks, I have a back log of cards to show, so for the  next week or so I will post a couple each night to try and catch up, so tonight we have two cards i made using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper and matching collectables. Both these cards have the same theme -of using the collectables to make a rosette, and I think it works quite well. I inked around all my edges with tea dye distress ink. I have made a few more christmas cards today, but I have to stop making for now and put in all the inserts – a bit boring, and a job that I seem to leave until I can’t ignore the pile any longer! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Sears and son male cards

IMG_2866 (Medium)We will keep going with the ideas for male cards, this time using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper collection. This was one they released last year, but I haven’t found anything since that comes close to making good cards for men. This one uses a piece  of the 12 x 12 paper, scraps of other matching papers, and one of the collectables out of the matching pack. I went to town on the distressing, and then inked around everything with Tea dye ink. It’s been a great day in the craft room today, I did a couple of cards for orders, just a couple more to do, and I did a couple of cards for various challenges, as well as digging out my  graphic 45 french country papers and playing with that – that is still out on my table, so I am heading back there now to continue while the ideas are flowing! Til tomomorrow….

Countryside stamp set

IMG_5339 (Medium)Here is a male birthday card I made using a stamp from Stampin Up – Countryside stamp set. i also made one very similar for fathers Day using this same stamp. The cardstock is Stampin Up Early espresso and a light green which has since been retired. I embossed the light green layer with Sizzix brick wall embossing folder, and added a button for some texture. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners by stampin up. Today was the retirement village ladies Christmas card marathon for the troops, so I popped over there after work for a couple of hours – just in time for a lovely lunch, and was amazed at the display covering quite a few tables of the 300 cards they had made! Well done ladies – what an effort! Til tomorrow…..
