Something a bit different for the next couple of days. I have done this series which I am calling 10 speedy cards. I used a 6″ pad ( kaisercraft lavender haze,) and a packet of matching collectables and made 10 cards using the same sketch design. The only other embellishments required are some ribbon and lace and you can make these in one sitting in just an hour or two! Here is the recipe …. take 10 sheets from the 6″ pad, and cut each of them into 2 pieces measuring 10.5 cms across, and 7.5 cms down. That gives you 20 pieces. match up top and bottoms and stick them on to your card front. ( the size of card is 10.5 cm across, and 15 cms down)0r an a5 piece of cardstock folded in half…then using ribbon or lace cover the join. you can also use the border strips that come in the collectables pack and the back of the pad as I have done .Then it is just a matter of affixing the assorted collectables ( and some of the labels from the pad) onto the card with foam pads to finish. I also added some bling cos that’s just what I do! Tomorrow I will put up some more of the 10 cards. Til tomorrow…..

Beau Chateau – stampin up.
This is the other card I made with Stampin Up Beau Chateau patterned paper ( retired stock) . for this one I cut a rectangle of the printed paper, and cut it into three strips, and mounted it onto some blue cardstock before mounting the whole piece onto cream cardstock.I stamped out a sentiment from vintage verses stamp set ( stampin up) and added a bow and pearls. Not much crafting this weekend – on the up side I did complete the orders I had to do, so at the moment the desk is clear of all ” have to do” stuff! Til tomorrow….
Stampin Up Beau Chateau
I have spent a lot of my time in the last few days searching for some paper that I thought I had bought( haven’t found it yet, and am fast running out of places to search!) and in my searching have found lots of other forgotten papers that have gone in and out of fashion, and are back in now and will benefit from being used with some new dies and embossing folders that I have bought in the meantime, so next on my list is to use up these papers. First up is this card, made with Stampin Up Beau Chateau, which is a retired paper, but I have rejuvenated it with some fussy cutting, and cutting a banner. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up Vintage verses, and I used 2 different kinds of ribbon on the card as well.Taught a lovely group of ladies this morning – we had a great time.. nothing better than card making when the weather outside is so cold! Storyteller number 10
For this one I used the same piece of 12 x 12 storyteller patterned paper ( kaisercraft) as yesterdays card, and cut the strip with the flower image, and fussy cut the lace printed strip, and stuck both on to the front of my white card blank. Just added a mini flower, ribbon and punched leaf to finish. Today I have spent a lot of time in the craft room using up some older papers – hopefully we will be able to find some time to photograph them in the next day or so! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Storyteller number 9
Today we are revisiting Kaisercraft Storyteller patterned paper, with a card that I designed for one of my classes last month. I cut the top third off the front of a square card blank, and layered some paper on the back piece, then covered the front piece, and fussy cut the piece of 12 x 12 paper that had the clock image on it to layer on top. In between these layers I placed a die cut ( couture creations cameo set die) and added a ribbon bow and perfect pearls.A short shift at work today, so I have spent an hour or so in the craft room clearing up some unfinished projects, and all ready for a full day in there tomorrow.. can’t wait! til tomorrow…..
Prima fairy rhymes vintage style 2
Here are two more cards I made with the watercoloured images ( a stampin up stamp and distress markers). This time I die cut a doily ( spellbinders I think) and die cut the image as well . I tied my seam binding in a triple bow – I used a bow maker to do this – no way would i manage that without it! and added lace and pearls to finish.I love this style, and could make these kind of cards all day long!Til tomorrow….
Prima Fairy rhymes Vintage style..
Thats enough of the male cards for a little while, it’s time for some vintage style!I did these ones a couple of weekends ago – I went through my stamps and stamped some images onto watercolour paper, then sat in front of the tv one night and did some watercolouring using my distress markers. the paper I have used here is Prima Fairy rhymes, and the stamp is an old Stampin Up one. I did lots of layering, and inked all the edges with Tea dye distress ink, and added some seam binding, lace and pearls.I kept all the colours subtle,to keep with the aged effect. Welcome to all my new followers, feel free to contact me if ever there is anything you need clarifying! Til tomorrow….
