My sisters birthday card..

IMG_6508Yesterday was my sister’s birthday, and I had made her card a little while ago, but recently I  coloured this stamp ( stampin Up peacock ) with ink pads and an aquabrush, and then I purchased some of Stampin up ‘s new colour cardstock  which went so well with the peacock I had just coloured that I changed my mind and gave her this card instead as she loves peacocks, and the card I prepared earlier is in a box ready for next year!Meanwhile today I taught a class over at paper Flourish, and we had a lovely time! I have done my shopping, and now I am off to prepare some tea! Til tomorrow…

The top card…a hexagon embossing folder ,I ran through the scraps and fussy cut them to fit on to the white embossed base.I also ran around the edges of the hexagons with tea dye distress ink.The flower is prima, and some twine and organza ribbon  to finish. The second card has a swiss dots embossed white cardstock panel and lots and lots of banners fussy cut to different widths and lengths.Today I am spending the afternoon photoing some recent makes, and maybe time to do some creating later! til tomorrow….

Lawn fawn .let’s polka! 3….

IMG_5609 (Medium)This is the third card i made with Lawn fawn let’s polka in the meadow 6″ pad.The dies I used were Stampin Up Dress up, and a kaisercraft flourish circle die. The scalloped stitch die was My Favourite Things. Some punched leaves, kaisercraft flower and bling to add the finishing touches. I could have used the whole pad designing my dresses, but tomorrow I will show you what i did with the scraps I created! i am up very early for a saturday,I have done all my housework, pot of vegetable soup on the stove and now I am off to the craft room to come up with some designs using a new stamp set to inspire a group of ladies who fell in love with the stamps but have run out of ideas on what to do with them! Til tomorrow….

Lawn Fawn ..lets polka..in the meadow…

IMG_5606 (Medium)IMG_5607 (Medium)Recently I picked up a 6″ paper pad, with no extra bits and pieces, because I loved the colours and design of the papers called lawn Fawn Lets Polka ( in the Meadow). the challenge for me was to come up with ideas with out relying on matching embellishments. The first card I made was the top pink card. I did some die cutting with a stampin up die set called dress ups, and added a flower and punched leaves, some washi tape I found in my stash which matched the papers, and of course a ribbon bow and bling. For the second card I got  a little more creative, and after die cutting the dress used a heart punch upside down to cut the dress so that it turned into a jacket. I die cut the dress again from black cardstock and stuck the jacket on top,A doily, extra layering, flower and punched leaves and bling and this one ( my favourite) was finished. Day off today, but busy doing household things, looking forward to the weekend so that i can get into the craft room! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Mermaid Tales 6 and 7..

IMG_5617 (Medium)IMG_5618 (Medium)Two cards today to finish this group,Kaisercraft Mermaid tales and matching collectables. For the top card I used some kaisercraft dies – seahorse and seaweed, and the papers were 12 x 12 sheets. The bottom card uses a piece of 12 x 12 paper and a lot of collectables, grouped together in the right hand corner, there is also a few little leaves die cut from a terrific die from Kaisercraft which has a few different leaf shapes on it. We will start a new group tomorow…til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft mermaid tales 5..

IMG_5620 (Medium) Kaisercraft mermaid tales paper collection, ( 12 x 12 paper) and matching collectables.I don’t often make square cards but I didn’t want to cut up this printed card front. I rounded all my corners, layered up some of the collectables, and added some gorgeous satin ribbon and bling. the final touch was some  Clear Wink Of Stella brushed on the mermaids tail. It’s a busy morning here catching up on a  lot of washing, cooking the weekely roast, and generally tidying up ..especially all the bits Luna has brought in from the garden! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraftmermaid tales 4..

IMG_5616 (Medium)A pretty card made with kaisercraft mermaid tales 6″ paper pad and the matching collectables. I die cut some sea weed with a kaisercraft die cut, some little branches from the kaisercraft leaves dies, and a ribbon bow. the cardstock is from Stampin up. This week I picked up the new Graphic 45 paper – safari, and the bo bounny paper – butterfly kisses ( which is absolutely gorgeous!), and I can’t wait to start creating with them, but first I have a couple of lessons to set up, so we shall see how the time goes! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Mermaid tales 3..

IMG_5615 (Medium)Todays kaisercraft Mermaid tales card. I used some paper from the 6″ pad for this one, punching out images with a circle punch and layering them on a kaisercraft Circles die, which is discontinued now, a shame because it is a terrific die.I die cut the circles out of glitter cardstock and purple cardstock and layered them on top of each other. Of course I added some bling to match the sentiment! I have spent a little while in the craft room today doing some orders, but my heart isn’t in it just now as my younger son has moved to Sydney this week to take up a job with Google and my heart hurts. I know its a wonderful opportunity for him,and I will get used to the idea, but for now it’s a bit tough.Anyway for now i will go back to the craft room and immerse myself in the lovely new papers from Bo Bunny ( butterfly kisses) that I picked up today …til tomorrow…

More Ultimate crafts magnolia Lane

IMG_5632 (Medium)IMG_5633 (Medium)The other two cards I made while I had this paper ( ultimate crafts Magnolia Lane0 out on the desk …I love vintage style cards because I get to put lots of lovely ribbon and lace  on them, and I certainly did that with these two! The top card has lots of the collectables that I purchased with the paper layered on top of each other, as well as a doily, a flourish die cut, ribbon and some pearls that were laying on my table.Everything was inked with Tea Dye distress ink. The bottom card is more simple, the strip of paper below the blue ribbon was from the bottom of one of the papers – the identity strip that the barcode is on …sometime these strips come in very handy!butterfly and flower image is from the pack of collectables, and I used some gorgeous soft gathered lace to finish.Today is a day off, and it is a wild wet and stormy day day here, perfect for relaxing in the craft room! til tomorrow….
