graphic 45 Couture collection 1,2, and 3…

IMG_5873 (Medium)I thought I would ease into this collection with a few simple designs to start. This is a huge group – I was quite prolific with this collection of paper so we might have to break it into 2 or 3 groups, with a little break in between just so boredom doesn’t set in! For these first three, IBecause i had bou used black cardstock for the card bases, and a sheet of 12 x 12 paper for the main images, the background paper is from the matching 6″ pad.from there I just added assorted flowers, lace, ribbon and bling.Because I had bought 3 sheets of the images I used 2 sheets  and 3’d the images by fussy cutting some of the elements such as the hat on the lady on the left etc and mounted with sticky foam pads. For now it’s back to the craft room…til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft paradiso number 1

IMG_5847 (Medium)As the weather in some parts of Australia is so hot, I thought it only fitting to post  some beach cards. Luckily for us here in Adelaide the weather hasn’t been quite so hot, today has been lovely, but all the same I do feel sorry for those suffering the heat. The paper collection featured for the next few days is a release from last month by kaisercraft called Paradiso, and the main images on the cards all came from one of the 12 x 12 sheets. Thrifty crafting at its best because I made 6 cards out of this sheet! All I added here were a couple of buttons and some twine and a few of the matching collectables. The cardstock is some retired stampin up cardstock. This weekend I am working on some baby cards to replenish my market boxes. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Tea break number 6

IMG_3167 IMG_3175 (Medium)Very quick post tonight as tea is cooking as we speak! This is the last of our Kaisercraft tea Break collection, and here I have used the paper pad . I die cut the shape of the card with a die from Stampin Up – the name escapes me for the moment – I was over at my sisters place and she had it, so I did a fair amount of die cutting with it while I was there!it’s a very effective die and I have made a lot of mens cards with it , which I am sure we will get to at some stage!By then I may know the name of it. A big box arrivced in the post today, so after tea I will  have great enjoyment going through it all – I bought a lucky dip from Prima so it’s filled with lots of papers, flowers and assorted embellishments… ah bliss…. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Tea Break number 5

IMG_3173 (Medium)kaisercraft Tea Break paper collection, and matching collectables, with a sentiment stamp from stampin up ( as is the cardstock) and an assortment of flowers and ribbon. I spent this morning sorting out my market boxes – I only do the one big three day fair each year but sell a lot of cards over the course of the three days, so I had to see what cards I needed to do to fill them -and it seems I have a bit of crafting ahead of me to fill them! This afternoon I made a start by making some little boy birthday cards with some great stamps from stampin up – Zoo Babies the set is called, next on the list is baby cards. Til tomorrow..

Kaisercraft tea Break number 4

IMG_3172 (Medium)A bit of humour today! Love this paper from Kaisercraft – Tea break. Vintage feel and great colours.I did something a bit different with all the corners – instead of rounding them I squared them off, I quite like the effect and will try this again one day – I used the little off cuts to stick in the opposite corners.did some matting as well, using some stampin up cardstock which matched in perfectly colourwise. Hope you all have a safe and happy new year,  til tomorrow….

Tilda Country Escape number 4

IMG_3171 (Medium)Tilda Country escape 12 x 12 paper pad, with a die cut from the pad, and again a very similar sketch to the previous cards but this time I have turned it 90 degrees. I made a little tag for the sentiment, and added more ribbon and lace to finish. A very lazy day day today, with some card making – mainly just finishing projects, and it’s back to work tomorrow. til tomorrow….

Tilda Country Escape number 3 – very vintage!

IMG_3170 (Medium) A very early post today as I have a feeling life around here is going to be busy later on..This is a very similar sketch to the previous card, but I have stepped it up a little bit by adding the doily and a couple of extra layers and ribbon. the paper is Tilda Country Escape 12 x 12 paper pad, and the flowers are by Prima. I punched some leaves with my Martha Stewart frond punch and added some liquid pearls in the top right hand corner. It goes without saying that lace and lovely ribbon also featured! Til tomorrow….

Tilda country escape number 2

IMG_3169 (Medium)This is the second card I made using my Tilda Country Escape 12 x 12 paper pad. I just added some prima flowers, ribbon bow and lace to finish. The sentiment on the die cut ( included in the paper pad) was stamped with a stampin up sentiment stamp from the Perfectly penned set, and I inked all around my edges with tea dye distress ink.Today I have been making some cards for my February lesson useing Kaisercrafts new release for January ( Velvet Crush) – it is the most gorgeous paper and I can’t wait to start on my own cards using it! Til tomorrow….

Very Vintage – Tilda Country Escape..number 1.

IMG_3168 (Medium)Hello, I hope you all had a lovely restful christmas. I had a busy christmas day, but boxing day was nice and relaxing – it was back to work for a few hours this morning, and I have had a lazy afternoon, and the next 3 days rostered days off, so feeling quite happy about that! Todays card is made with  a 12 x12 paper pad I picked up -and it had a few sheets of die-cuts in the pad as well so great value for money. Its a company I haven’t bought before , – Tilda, and the pad is called Country escape but I loved the very vintageness of it. I fussy cit the flowers from one of the sheets, and inked all my edges with Tea dye distress ink. Of course added some ribbon and some kaisercraft pearls to finish. Til tomorrow….

kaisercraft Butterfly kisses number 4

A chipboard piece from the same range and a length of spotted ribbon to finish. Tomorrow I think we will have a look at some mens cards I have been working on. Today I have ahad a lovely day in the craft room, completing an order, making a start on february lessons and playing with my new graphic 45 couture collection papers – I will have to get Nathan busy with the camera this weekend! til tomorrow…..
