Early post today, as I missed last nights post as I couldn’t move with a sore leg – all is well today though and I have spent a lovely morning in the craft room. Todays card is made using kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey paper pad and collectables – my favourite recent range release – it is right up my crafting alley – love anything to do with nature.I just added a kaisercraft bling strip on this one, and stamped it with a hero arts happy birthday stamp , and sponged in Vintage photo ink around the edges of everything!I am now making a 40th birthday card, for an order, but have hit a snag deciding what my lady meant when she said retro – to me thats 60’s, but I’m thinking she might have meant 70’s and that’s two different eras with two different styles – I’ll just go back into the craft room and create until something feels right! Til tomorrow…

Art deco Style…
I have posted this card at the request from two of my ladies, who are having a card making day soon to make some art deco style cards. Here I have used some images from the Do crafts Papermania Art deco Collection layered onto black cardstock, and added a touch of lace. I think the secret to Art deco is to keep to geometric shapes – no soft curves or frilly bits here! Even the lace I have used is angular.I also think black is a good base for this style of card, and if you don’t have black cardstock for bases, use black for your layers. square, diamonds and triangles are all good for Art Deco style cards.Thank goodnes for the weekend, and cooler weather – i am so looking forward to some quality time in the craft room.. secret garden number 4
Anoher simple design, using the Secret Garden papers from Graphic 45. I fussy cut some paper to run down the right hand side of the card, and added some ribbon to hide the join.Another hot day here – it’s starting to get boring now….. so once again very little time spent in the craft room today, til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 secret garden number 3
Graphic 45 secret garden patterned paper, and the image on this panel of paper doesn’t need anything else but a strip of lace! The cardstock is stampin up baja breeze. very quick and easy! the weather is still conspiring against me, as well as hot it is now humid and there is so much moisture in the air my cardstock is warping so again no visits to the craft room, although I did manage to make a few this morning before it really heated up- ready for a change of weather now…. til tomorrow…

Prima tea Thyme number 9
This card is my favourite, made with prima Tea thyme 6″ pad, and matching collectables. I made the box to match ( you can see how to make this simple box on a you tube video I made titled card i9n a box box) and I added some flowers, ribbon and bling to decorate. Nathan and I have spent the morning taking photos of my most recent makes, so we will have something new to look at once he has put the photos on my computer. With Mothers day only a couple of months away, I will be concentrating on these cards this week, and I have a lesson to set up as well, so thats this week sorted! Prima Tea Thyme number 8
I really enjoy making these cards in boxes, and I have done a You Tube video ( titled card in a box box) to show how I make these very simple boxes. For this one I used Prima Tea Thyme 6″pad, and matching flowers. I added some ribbon, lace and an organza bow to finish. The tags used are all found in the 6″pad.I have been amazingly creative this week, and have made close to 40 cards, which I now have to organise Nathan to photo , and I have been very naughty and not done the inserts, so tonight I will be going through them all inserting the verses! That is the most boring job… which explains why I haven’t done them yet! Spellbinders nested tea cup card ideas
Yesterday I taught a class over at the retirement village, and we focused on finding different ways to use Spellbinders nested Tea cups dies. Here is the first card, using the dies as they were meant to be used – Tea cups! The cardstock is stampin Up Pink Pirouette, as is the ribbon, and the paper is also stampin up but sadly it is retired.I also used an EK success border punch.Good news – my comment button is fixed! see post below for instructions if you have difficulty, but it is straight forward now I believe.I will be in the craft room tonight planning out some lessons for April, then hopefully a bit of time to play with the new graphic 45 Secret Garden papers, which I can’t wait to cut into! Graphic 45 Birdsong number 2

Just an organza bow and a little kindyglitz, and a simple card! Til tomorrow….
Stampin Up Sycamore Street
Here is a complete change of colour, and I love it! Everything used in todays card is from stampin Up – starting with the cardstock which is Island Indigo. the papers, and ribbon and button pack are from the Sycamore street range, and I die cut the label from Apothecary Accents Framelits. I paper pierced around the frame and stamped the sentiment in Rich razzleberry ink, with a stamp from the perfectly penned set. I punched a couple of different sized circles to make the flower in the corner, and threaded my button with some linen thread.I taught alovely class this morning – thank you to all the ladies who braved the horrendous heat to share the morning with me!I am now deciding whether to go and do my grocery shopping this evening or leave it until tomorrow night, but I believe it’s going to be just as hot tomorrow so I guess I should just go and get it over and done with! til tomorrow….
