For number 2 in my Kaisercraft tigerlily series, I used some of the butterflies I had fussy cut from one of my 2 sheets, and the other sheet for the background paper. I punched a brder with Martha stewart lace doily die, and added ribbon and lace. The cardstock is Stampin Up pink Pirouette.Today has been a funny day in the craft room. I hit a creative roadblock – possibly because I have spent so much time over the last week coming up with original lesson ideas – so when that happens i set myself challenges, and todays was to make a clean and simple card ( they are called cas cards) which is basicly one layer cards – a big challenge for me not to reach for the lace, ribbon, bling etc. Anyway I did it and as soon as nathan photographs it I will post it to see what you all think! Another thing I did today was to experiment with die cutting material – I had heard you could do it, but didn’t believe it, so tested it myself. And it’s true! Now this opens up endless possibilities for me as before I became a cardmaker, before I was a cross stitcher, and before I was a tapestry person ( don’t know what they are called), I was a seamstress – it’s true – I have the sewing machine and cupboard full of material to prove it. Now all that remains is to find some time to go through said cupboard and sort out what is going to be used on cards! Til tomorrow…

Tigerlily and scraps…
This card was made a little differently to the way I normally create – I usually have my collection as the base, then gather cardstock, ribbons, flowers etc that I think will go well with it and start from there. with this one I had only bought 2 sheets of the collection – ( Kaisercraft Tigerlily) unusual for me but it offended my eye with the strong orange mixed with pink ( just a personal thing – I don’t normally like orange and pink together) so I didn’t have too much paper to play with but… there were lots of odds and ends on my table from other projects, and so that is what I used on this card and the next couple that I will show you over the next couple of days. The white embossed oval which I inked around the edges was given to me by one of my ladies when she was showing me her new cuttlebug die purchase, so I can’t tell you the name of it, and then I just added a few flowers and a dainty pink bow to finish. The gorgeous butterfly was fussy cut from a sheet full of butterflies from Kaisercraft Tigerlily. I have been very good and stuck to making my Fathers day cards, still a few to go, but I am seriously missing my ribbon, flowers and bling so tonight I am going to treat myself and make the blingiest card I can think of!Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 A ladies diary
I bought the whole range of Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary paper a week or so ago because I absolutely love it, but sadly haven’t had much chance to do anything with it, but couldn’t resist putting together a few quick cards so over the next few days I will show you what I have done so far. For this card I used some of the paper to completely cover my card blank, and then fussy cut the rose image and stuck it on top. I used one of my homemade lace doilies, some seam binding , a hat pin and a handmade tag down in the left hand corner, and applied a bit of kindyglitz for a bit of sparkle! Weather here is still cold, and not conducive to crafting – all I want to do is sit beside the heater! Til tomorrow….
The lake House number 5
Number 5 in my Kaisercraft The lake House series uses paper from the 6″ pad, and a couple of die cuts from the lakehouse collectables pack. I inked the edges of the die cuts, and used my tim holtz sizzix tattered florals garland die to die cut some little flowers. Just had to add the Kaisercrafft rhinestones and it was finished! Early to bed for me tonight as I have to get up at 4 am for work, but I will spend a little while in the craft room creating to relax first! Til tomorrow….
Lakehouse number 2
Here is number 2 in my Kaisercraft Lakehouse collection, this time using papers from the 6″ pad. I fussy cut around the floral piece in the pad ( love it) and backed it with the striped piece. All that was left to do was punch a couple of butterflies with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, and add the greeting and some kindyglitz. I think this is my favourite card! Well thats the weekend over – a very short one for me this week as I only had today off, but looking forward to the end of this week when I have 4 days off – yay! Til tomorrow….
Lakehouse number 1
Today we start a new series, using the new kaisercraft papers – Lakehouse. I haven’t really had enough time to play with this paper, but I have done a few cards which I will show over the next few days. This was the first one I made, using the 12 x 12 papers, and also added a flower die cut rom my Stampin Up Blossom Party die, and added some ribbon. The cardstock is stampin up Blushing Bride.Another cold day here in adelaide, so it will probably be another craft free night in front of the heater! Til tomorrow….
Black and White
This is the card I made using the Typewriter stamp from the Established Elegance set by Stampin Up.The patterned papers are also from Stampin Up but I can’t remember the name of the collection – Printery rings a bell, but I am sure someone will let me know and put me out of my misery!I did a bit of distressing, inking and ripping ( still have trouble ripping my beautiful papers) and stamped the greeting onto more patterned paper and tucked it into the typewriter. Not my usual style of card, but it’s not in my box any more so someone liked it!Til tomorrow….
Some stamping fun..
Now and again when I have a bit of time I like to get out all my stamps and inks and just see what happens and this is the result from the other day. I used stampin Up cardstock – early espresso, blushing bride and very vanilla, and some lace and ribbon, then went to town with the stamps from my Established Elegance set ( Stampin Up)I think I used all the stamps in this set – oh except for the typewriter stamp.. that was used on another card which I will show tomorrow. The papers are from Stampin Up Attic boutique.Very wet and cold day here in Adelaide. Its a heater night tonight! Til tomorrow….
Amy Tangerine sketchbook 3
Today in my bold and bright series we get 3 for the price of one! The paper is American crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook, and the technique today is fussy cutting. I used 12 x 12 papers and cut the flower images out to make these bright cards. the only other embellishments needed here were buttons, bling, ribbon and kindyglitz. the cardstock and sentiment stamp were from Stampin Up.I spent all of today doing a stocktake of my cards and tidying up my craft room. It’s all organised now so hopefully I can find a little time to get in there and do some creating! Til tomorrow…
Amy Tangerine sketchbook 3
Firstly tonight I want to say thank you for the lovely comments from 2 of my followers -Margaret and Shirley. I always love to read your comments, and to know that someone is reading my ramblings! A very easy card tonight – this one made itself. I loved the image in the corner in one of the 12 x 12 sheets so cut it out and built the card around it. I just added ribbon and a bit of bling. the cardstock was from stampin Up as was the sentiment. Well my foray into the craftf market is over for now – I had a lovely 3 days meeting lots of interesting people, but now is the clean up – my craft room is a disaster are so tomorrow will be spent trying to restore order to it!
