This is the third card i made with Lawn fawn let’s polka in the meadow 6″ pad.The dies I used were Stampin Up Dress up, and a kaisercraft flourish circle die. The scalloped stitch die was My Favourite Things. Some punched leaves, kaisercraft flower and bling to add the finishing touches. I could have used the whole pad designing my dresses, but tomorrow I will show you what i did with the scraps I created! i am up very early for a saturday,I have done all my housework, pot of vegetable soup on the stove and now I am off to the craft room to come up with some designs using a new stamp set to inspire a group of ladies who fell in love with the stamps but have run out of ideas on what to do with them! Lawn Fawn ..lets polka..in the meadow…

Recently I picked up a 6″ paper pad, with no extra bits and pieces, because I loved the colours and design of the papers called lawn Fawn Lets Polka ( in the Meadow). the challenge for me was to come up with ideas with out relying on matching embellishments. The first card I made was the top pink card. I did some die cutting with a stampin up die set called dress ups, and added a flower and punched leaves, some washi tape I found in my stash which matched the papers, and of course a ribbon bow and bling. For the second card I got a little more creative, and after die cutting the dress used a heart punch upside down to cut the dress so that it turned into a jacket. I die cut the dress again from black cardstock and stuck the jacket on top,A doily, extra layering, flower and punched leaves and bling and this one ( my favourite) was finished. Day off today, but busy doing household things, looking forward to the weekend so that i can get into the craft room! Til tomorrow….
Prima tales of you and me number 8
Here is the last in the series of Prima tales of you and me, purely vintage, with a kaisercraft dress form die used, and a chipboard butterfly from the prima paper collection, as well as an assortment of flowers, and some gold twine. the sentiment is a spellbinders die. I have been missing for a few days, I had a stall at the local craft fair, and i really enjoyed myself. I had some wonderful helpers, and caught up with lots of crafty friends, sold lots of cards, and today is all about restoring order in the craft room ready to start all over again for next year! I have missed blogging and will be glad to return to normal. oh, today nathan and I also plan to make a you tube video for the card in a box cards – many people have asked how I make them, so hopefully there will be a clip up by the end of the week! til tomorow….
Truly Vintage with prima tales of you and me
Today I have indulged my favourite style – Vintage! The paper collection is Prima Tales of you and me, and I have used the same image on both cards. On the left card I fussy cut the image, and did some clean layering, inking the edges with tea dye distress ink as I went.I added a matching chipboard butterfly,a die cut leaf, Prima flowers and ribbon. For the right hand side I went for a more shabby feel – I love this style too, but have real trouble ripping and tearing my precious papers, but still I keep trying! I used the image as it was,die cut a flourish, and added some gold twine, a Prima flower and fussy cut butterflies, ribbon and lace. Today is a glorious winter day – the sun is shining, and this afternoon I am off to the retirement village to show the ladies how to make a bendy card! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Storyteller number 1!
A new group today – Kaisercraft storyteller. I have used the 6″ pad and matching collectables for this card, and die cut an oval with my spellbinders floral oval, added a ribbon and some kindyglitz to finish. I love this collection, released last month, and have only had a chance to make a few cards with it so far, so busy organising myself for the craft fair, but tomorrow I set up my stall, then 3 days of great fun – I can’t wait. My holidays have started so all is great in my world today! Til tomorrow….

I have been playing with some new tools today, the new we are memory keeper flower punch board in particaular,The flowers it makes are rather big, and probably not too good for cards, but i have a lovely vase of paper flowers sitting on the dining table now!
Heartfelt Creations raindrops on roses 1
heartfelt Creations are well known for their embossing folders and dies but did you know they also do ranges of paper? I didn’t until a friend showed me some, and I just had to have some. their paper pads come with papers already designed into card fronts, with enough for cutting your own 3d images, and a range of background papers too.You can make many many cards from just one pad. This card I have made is from the Raindrops on Roses pad, and I just added a ribbon bow and some bling to finish. There are also quite plain designs in the pad as well, and I used one of these inside for writing my greeting on.I hope everyone is having a safe and happy Easter, til tomorrow….
Tilda country escape number 6
Tilda country escape 12 ” pad, and spellbinders Persian motifs die. A similar sketch to yesterdays card, with less ribbon, and a smaller spellbinders die, but I still inked all my edges with tea dye ink,and embellished with some kindyglitz and liquid pearls. That is all I have done with this range so far, so tomorrow we will find something else to look at! today I have been playing around with some heat embossing and sprays, just experimenting really, sometimes it’s just fun to go into the craft room , pull out a few things and see what happens! til tomorrow….
