IMG_7233 (Medium)Graphic 45 a place in Time march Cut outs paper, and some pretty Bazil for matting. The card stock is Stampin Up Garden Green, and just a little lace down the side. A liberal squirt of Kindyglitz and this one was a very quick make indeed!Very hot day here in South Australia, so definitely no card making tonight – just trying to stay cool in front of the T.V. for me! Kaisercraft Secret Admirer number 1…

IMG_7218 (Medium)Nathan got out his camera today and we took some photos so I have a lot of very recent cards to show you all over the next couple of weeks. The first group are all made using Kaisercraft Secret Admirer collection. I haven’t yet been able to purchase my 6″ pad as there has been a little hold up with availability, so I have been using the 12 x 12 papers and on this first card I also added some ribbon, pearls ,lace and kindyglitz. The butterflies are die cut with Cheery Lyn Exotic Butterflies, and the sentiment is Stampin Up perfectly penned. I am off to the craft room for a couple of hours to unwind after a very busy and stressful week! Til tomorrow….

Anna griffin Camilla 5

We appear to be all over the place with my postings but I have a few cards that have missed being posted, and I am trying to tidy up my folders. so, this one is a card made from Anna griffin paper and matching embellishments( Number 5 apparently)I used a spellbinders dress form die as well, and decorated it ( the most fun) with ribbon, lace, a flower and bling. The cardstock is Stampin Up Pink Pirouette.I have a true mess on my craft table today – I am playimg with a new kaisercraft collection, but will have to pack it up for now to plan out a lesson for my ladies at the retirement village this Friday – never have I left a lesson plan this late, but I have been busy with a few commissions which are now completed. Til tomorrow…

Graphic 45 Bird Song card

Here is my first ( and only at the moment as I have been distracted with xmas cards) Graphic 45 Bird Song card. Lovely paper and I am looking forward to doing more with it, in the meantime, I did a lot of fussy cutting for this one, and mounted the images on to stampin Up cardstock – Earl Espresso and Baja Breeze. I added some seam binding and gold liquid pearls for texture.Today is a beautiful day outside, and it’s a shame to waste it, so perhaps no creating but sitting in the garden with a good book! Til tomorrow….

Prima Zephyr Collection

I feel in the mood for something bold and bright this afternoon, and this card fits the bill nicely! The paper, chipboard and Journalling notecard are all from the Prima Zephyr collection, and the sentiment and Pool Party seam binding are from stampin Up.The butterfly was die cut using Memory Box Moonlight and Kaliedascope butterfly  dies, and I used a little bakers twine as well. I kept the canvas keys til last because these are something new I found and I love them.  They are Prima  resist canvas ( the pack these came from was the clocks, gears and keys pack). Its a pack chock full of die cut shapes, and when you colour them – I used a tim holtz ranger ink pad and a blending tool, there is a pattern that resists the ink.  I bought the pack with the birds in it too, which I haven’t used yet, but may get the opportunity now that my week – end has started – Yay!So looking forward to getting into the craft room and playing wiht all my new paper purchases! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 A Ladies diary card number 8

When I made this card it reminded me of a painting hanging on a wall, and The graphic 45 A ladies Diary chipboard was perfect for this. The card is self explanatory, but the white strip is interesting. I cut it to size, then put it in my trimmer, but instead of cutting, I ran my bone folder down the cutting lane ( did this twice – just moved the cardstock over a little) and it gave these wonderful embossed lines which is exactly the look I wanted for my picture rail! Tonight I will be in the craft room putting the finished touches to my order, and then I will be all organised to start playing with my new stampin up stuff when I get it tomorrow… Til tomorrow…

Daydream Medallions

When I went to Canberra with Kay one of the stamp sets we received was Daydream Medallions. When I saw it, I didn’t think it would be one that I would use. A very good friend used it and I was hooked! This is my first card using it, but I have since made many more and  alot of them are christmas themed, so they will be up here at some stage. For this one though, I used early espresso cardstock, as the base and Very Vanilla. The base card is stamped with a little flower stamp from the Bliss set, as is the butterfly, sadly not available any more.I stamped the daydream dedallions in early espresso and soft suede ink, and fussy cut around both, and layered them on top of each other. I then stamped another stamp of the set in the centre.Another stamp set we received was Memorable Moments, and it is great – a couple of sentiment stamps, but more importantly numbers! I am now making lots of age themed cards. I don’t have to rely on stickers any more! I stuck some kaisercraft pearls around the medallion and that part was finished. I then ran some Very Vanilla cardstock through my cuttlebug using the Stampin Up vintage wallpaper folder, which I had inked over with early esprsso ink – on reflection next time I would use the lighter ink. A bit of lace trim and done! I went up to  Paper Flourish today and stocked up on all the new kaisercraft christmas paper, and tonight I will be preparing some lessons for October using some of it – lovely vintage style paper it is too, just my thing!I also bought some new spellbinder dies, so can’t wait to have a play with them as well. Til tomorrow….

stampin up summer smooches

At the end of May this year, I accompanied my sister Kay ( who is a stampin up demonstrator) to their annual convention. I went along to keep her company, see Canberra, have a bit of a holiday, and also learn some new card making techniques. We had a great crafty, girly time, and came home with lots of goodies ( so much so that Kay had to pay excess baggage!). Now, I have had a great time playing with all these goodies, but haven’t been able to show you anything … until today! The new catalogue starts today, so finally I can post all my stampin up creations. It goes without saying, if you like anything you see me use, click on my link to Kays blog, leave her a comment or e-mail, and she will organise a new catalogue for you – there are lots of lovely crafty things in it, and hopefully she has put my HUGE order through today! The card I am showing today uses the new designer paper Summer Smooches, and there is matching material available with this one, which I have stuck onto cardstock with double sided adhesive paper and then run through my cuttlebug with the Stampin Up Blossom Party die to make these great texture filled flowers. This is a great idea for scraps of material, or even a favourite item of clothing that is sadly past its use by date!Instead of a leaf for the flower I used the same technique to create ziz zag leaves. The other die I used was Stampin Up ( sizzix) labels collection framelits, and I made a tag and stamped it with a sentiment from my petite pairs stamp set. All that was left to do was add bakers twine! Wow – long post today! I can’t wait to get into the craft room tonight and create some more spring cards, til tomorrow….

Shades of…pink

I like the colour combination on this card.I used a white cardstock base, and matted 3 different shades of pink bazzil onto some Stampin Up Crumbcake ( thats kraft ) cardstock, then stamped a floral image 3 times across the bazzil in white ink. I added some lace, twine, stampin up crumbcake seam binding and a button I found in my button tin to finish this one. Just something different for me, but I really like it, and will try this one again in different colours. Thats it for today, til tomorrow….

Prima songbird number 8

I hope you are all still enjoying this series, only a couple more to go!Of course the paper is still prima songbird, and for this one I just did lots of layers, using the 12 x 12 papers, white cardstock, and stampin up early espresso cardstock. I added a prima flower, seam binding, and some bling to finish. Short post today, as I am still not well, and am heading off back to bed.Til tomorrow….
