I have posted something similar to this in the past, but I was in need of bling and colour today, and this was a very recent make, so here it is! All supplies here except the flower, lace and ek success punch are from stampin up. The cardstock is Pool party, the gorgeous paper ( so lovely I had to buy more) is Attic Boutique, and I fussy cut the bodice from one of the sheets. I created the dress with very wide lace from Spotlight, and added 2 strip of narrower lace across the top of the bodice. The ribbons are stampin up pool party and cherry cobbler.I created a tag abd stamped the greeting from my Stampin up petite pairs set. These stamps are great for little tag greetings. It is very cold here in adelaide today, but I have put on the heater in the craft room, and intend to unwind in there for a couple of hours this evening! Til tomorrow…..

Playing with my new dies number 2
While i had my new dies out, I made another card with them again using Kaisercraft The Lake House papers ( for those keeping track this would be number 11 in this series of paper!). So, the dies used are Cheery Lyn designs Tropical Flourish and Lattice number 2, and i added a flower made with my Tim Holtz sizzix tattered Florals. The brad in the centre is a kaisercraft brad, and for the pearl effect I used some perfect pearls. The sentiment is from Stampin up Petite Pairs.Well with a final push last night, I have now finished my fathers day cards, just in time for my Market stall next sunday! I am now looking forward to starting some Christmas cards, using some great new products I purchased last week although I am pacing myself because kaisercraft have some great papers coming out next month which I will be indulging in, and basing a few classes around. In the meantime Nathan and I will take some photos tomorrow and I will show you all what I have been playing with today!Til tomorrow….
A new cuttlebug card
I bought a new die the other day – Cottage cutz whimsy bird and cage, and gave it a try out recently. The background paper and chipboard piece are Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee, and I ran various colours of bazil cardstock through the cuttlebug with the die to achieve all the colours needed to complete the card.So as you can imagine I have lots of bits and pieces left over in a little bag just waiting for when I need a green bird or a pink branch! Other than that I love this die – the pieces fall out of it very easily – and its good fun piecing it all together! Tonight is shopping night so I probably won,t be able to fit in a visit to the craft room, but I am off work tomorrow so will spend some time in there then. Til tomorrow….
Vintage bits and pieces
This is a card I made with Melissa Francis C’est La Vie paper, and bits and pieces lying around on my craft table.I used stampin Up blushing Bride cardstock, and some scrap lace, twill tape, hat pin, flowers and a doily I crocheted myself ( don’t look too closely!)I am not sure where the image and bunting come from – as I said lying on my craft table!Quick post tonight as it’s shopping night – til tomorrow…
Melissa francis C’est La Vie Vintage card
Today I have gone back to a favourite vintage paper – Melissa Francis C’est La Vie.I got out my sewing machine and sewed a border around one panel, as the colours are very similar on the two pieces of paper I used, and I needed a little definition. I dyed some lace with some weak tea, and some white seam binding with a little re-inker,and die cut a couple of circles with my spellbinders, and a memory box Fauntleroy crest which I cut in half to pop behind the flower.I finished off with a few drops of liquid pearls.Today was my second monthly lesson over at Paper Flourish, a full class, which went very well – always a relief! For now, I have moved onto boy cards this week and lets see if I can stay on task! Tigerlily and scraps…
This card was made a little differently to the way I normally create – I usually have my collection as the base, then gather cardstock, ribbons, flowers etc that I think will go well with it and start from there. with this one I had only bought 2 sheets of the collection – ( Kaisercraft Tigerlily) unusual for me but it offended my eye with the strong orange mixed with pink ( just a personal thing – I don’t normally like orange and pink together) so I didn’t have too much paper to play with but… there were lots of odds and ends on my table from other projects, and so that is what I used on this card and the next couple that I will show you over the next couple of days. The white embossed oval which I inked around the edges was given to me by one of my ladies when she was showing me her new cuttlebug die purchase, so I can’t tell you the name of it, and then I just added a few flowers and a dainty pink bow to finish. The gorgeous butterfly was fussy cut from a sheet full of butterflies from Kaisercraft Tigerlily. I have been very good and stuck to making my Fathers day cards, still a few to go, but I am seriously missing my ribbon, flowers and bling so tonight I am going to treat myself and make the blingiest card I can think of!Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 a Ladies Diary card number 2
A
very quick post tonight as it’s shopping night – Paer is graphic 45 – a ladies diary, and so is the chipboard and border stickers. I die cut some assorted flowers rom my Tim Holtz sizzix tattered flower garland die, and the leaves are die cut using my cheery lyn ( I think) olive branch die. There is an old button on top of the chipboard, but it didn’t photo very well. The cardstock is stampin Up Baja Breeze. Til tomorrow….
Tyhe Lake house number 4
Number 4 in my Kaisercraft The Lake House collection. here I have used the 6″ pad, and the matching collectables. I inked around the edges of the collectables with victorian rose distress ink, and punched a border with my martha stewart punch. I just added some ribbon and kindyglitz, and the cardstock used was Stampin Up Blushing Bride. So excited today as Amy Tangerine ( who designed the sketchbook papers that I used a few posts ago commented here on my blog!)That’s a thrill! Quick and easy Cuttlebug card
This is a quick and easy card, made using a variety of dies through my cuttlebug . I love these colours together, but I think the design would also work with yellows and oranges for a brighter card – I will try it…. The cardstock I have used is Stampin Up wisteria Wonder, and bazill card for the rest. The paper is Melissa Francis, and the dies I used – Stampin Up blossom Party , Memory box – meadow leaf and La Rue flourish. The flower is held together with a Kaisercraft brad.I have had very early starts at work this week, so not too much crafting in the evenings as I am tired and looking forward to the end of next week when I start a months holidays..but I will create a card or two tonight. Til tomorrow….
