I always enjoy going over to my sister Kays craft room, because she has so much more goodies than I do! ( I know!!), and she often says play with this and see what you come up with. On this particular day it was a Stampin Up die called Detailed Floral thinlet, and these were two of my creations. I used Night of navy and whisper white cardstock, and popped some gold card behind some of the detail on the card on the right, and followed the shape of the die cut on the card on the left for a bit of a border effect, white ribbon, touch of bling and a rose flower to finish off these rather elegant cards! Today I have been over at mums showing Mum and Kay how to watercolour with inks..this was necessary beacause Kay will be accompanying me on my cruise, and I am relying on her to help me teach my classes so she must know what we are doing!Anyway we had great fun,and now I am looking forward to spending an hour or so in the craft room after tea where I have a couple of orders to put together…til tomorrow….
Recently I picked up a 6″ paper pad, with no extra bits and pieces, because I loved the colours and design of the papers called lawn Fawn Lets Polka ( in the Meadow). the challenge for me was to come up with ideas with out relying on matching embellishments. The first card I made was the top pink card. I did some die cutting with a stampin up die set called dress ups, and added a flower and punched leaves, some washi tape I found in my stash which matched the papers, and of course a ribbon bow and bling. For the second card I got a little more creative, and after die cutting the dress used a heart punch upside down to cut the dress so that it turned into a jacket. I die cut the dress again from black cardstock and stuck the jacket on top,A doily, extra layering, flower and punched leaves and bling and this one ( my favourite) was finished. Day off today, but busy doing household things, looking forward to the weekend so that i can get into the craft room! Til tomorrow….
I finished my orders yesterday, and here are two of them, the top card is being posted, so had to stay quite flat. I used Stampin Up botanical blooms dies and stampin up cardstock for this one, and die cut some glitter flourishes, punched a glitter butterfly, and added liquid pearls and sequins. the bottom card was much more textured with lots of flowers, more glitter flourishes, and key and ribbon bow. I am caught up with my orders now, but no crafting today, I am taking Mum out to spend her Mothers day money at Paper Flourish and we will visit spotlight too – we are on the hunt for very very fine paint brushes for dad, I found them on-line but they are very expensive and he goes through so many so we will have a look around locally.Til tomorrow….
I thought as I had shown a card I made for the wedding with Graphic 45 Le’Amour I would finish the series off, as we have a few christmas cards to get through!.The top two cards are side stepper cards ( Youtube video on the way) and all the cards have fussy cutting, ribbon and lace. Love this collection and will get back to it once the christmas cards are finished , which should be by this time next week! Just a quick post this morning as I have to get off to work, til tomorrow…..
Over the next couple of days I will post a few cards I made with Graphic 45 Time to celebrate, this time the two April sheets. I used a card front for this one, and did some fussy cutting, and just added a seam binding bow.In the craft room meanwhile I still have simple stories on the table ,left there from the weekend, and I am determined to finish all the bits and pieces I have left – so far I have made 25 cards with that paper ( not counting the 10 I have made for a class in may) .. I am inspired with that paper! til tomorrow….
This one is a side stepper card, ( graphic 45 time to flourish June papers) again, I just sat down with my cardstock and ruler and fiddled with measurements until I made something that would fit into a normal c6 envelope. Luckily for me I scribbled down the measurements and made templates of all these cards so that I could do them again, because I really like this one in particular – it’s perfect for showing off this beautiful paper. My holidays start at the end of next week, and I will get Nathan organised with the video camera and we will do a bit of a clip on how I made this one and the previous card posted so that you can all try ! As for the rest…. fussy cut bits , and layers on each step( which you can’t really see in the photo) and a gorgeous ribbon bow to finish. Two days of 6 am starts over with, a day off tomorrow, one more day of work and three days off after that – got to love long weekends!! Til tomorrow….
A quick post before I leave for work this morning.. Graphic 45 By the sea paper collection with lots of fussy cutting and layering. The cardstock is stamping up, and that’s all the products I used on this one. Love this range but haven’t had the time to really create with it yet, too busy with christmas cards! til tomorrow…..
Very early post today, before I go back to the craft fair. Yesterday was a great day, sold lots, and saw so many of my crafting friends.Bought a few things from other stalls, but i am trying to pace myself ! Today I will pop by and see the lace lady and stock up on my supply of lace. Anyway, todays card is made with Kaserscraft Storyteller 6″pad ( for the background) and the strip in front is from a piece of 12 x 12 paper -that particular paper is gorgeous – has lots of borders on it. I also used an ek success border punch, and ribbon and a kaisercraft mini flower. Til tomorrow….
Heartfelt creations majestic Morning 12 x 12 paper pad. The colours in this range are gorgeous! A good friend bought this paper pad, and we went halves as there wqas 2 of each deign in the pad. I think this is the last in my Kaisercraft Blubelle series, and here Is a similar card and box to last night one – using a julie Nutting Prima doll stamp, and the blubelle papers.the background papers are from the 6′ pad,and I mixed in a few of the matching collectables. The flowers on the card on the left are prima and kaisercraft, and I die cut the one on the box using my stampin up blossom party die.i have spent a productive day in the craft room, playing with some new kaisercraft storyteller papers which i wil get nathan to photo this weekend, and hopefully will be able to show next week! til tomorrow….
