MIss Betty ( Kaisercraft) number 5…

_MG_4593 (Medium) I seem to be jumping all over the place with my photos this month, but I had a lot of random bits and pieces on my desk and had a bit of a push to try and use them up, so this is a card I made with leftover bits and pieces from Kaisercraft Miss Betty collection. Lots of layering, and a bit of fussy cutting, and just a little ribbon bow! Today i bought opur puppy a winter coat. She is not sure about it, and sat in one place for a long time ( highly unusual for her!) deciding if she should move or not. I have included a photo here for you all!Ā  Til tomorrow….IMG_0623

All White..

_MG_4595 (Medium) One of my favourite cards to make is all white. I usually do all white for wedding cards when I am not sure of the colour scheme used in the wedding, but this time I made a birthday card. I have a lot of embossing folders, they are great for adding texture – imagine this card without the embossing!.This embossing folder is from Stampin Up as is the birthday stamp sentiment. I die cut the circle, punched out the leaves, and added flowers and a ribbon bow.Ā  I have lots of new things to play with this weekend. This is almost the best part of my job..trying out new stuff! this weekend I will be road testing the Tim Holtz travel stamp platform, and the new magnetic die cutting plate from Couture Creations. I also have new papers – (yay) Memory Lane by kaisercraft – gorgeous pastel greens which I think will also work with Christmas cards later in the year so it doesn’t matter if I don’t use all of it just now. That said I am off to open new things! Til tomorrow….

Prima meadow lark number 7

Here is the final Prima meadow Lark card! Although as we speak the collection is sitting on my work table as I am still doing orders and that paper was asked for on two of the cards, so I am not done with it yet although I probably won’t post any more cards with it. Here I really let the paper do the talking – I just couldn’t bring myself to cut into this pretty paper so I made a feature of it instead, fussy cutting around the design and just adding a butterfly ( memory box dies kaliedascope and moonlight butterfly) and some lace and liquid pearls. Tomorrow I think we will have some male cards! Til tomorrow….

Prima Meadow lark 3

After a detour yesterday we are back to my Prima Meadow lark series, and here I have used both the paper and one of the matching chipboard pieces, onto which I stamped my sentiment which is from a stampin up set called perfectly penned. The buttterfly is die cut on my cuttlebug using two of my recent purchases – Moonlight butterfly and kaliedescope butterfly from Memeory Box, and I also Die cut a couple of the flowers shown and added some ribbon and lace. The colours on this paper are gorgeous, and if I get some time this weekend ( I still have one day to go in my weekend) I think I will do some with this paper!Til tomorrow…

Fresh Vintage

Today I am showing a card that I made using my Stampin Up supplies. The designer paper is stampin Up everyday enchantment ( absolutely gorgeous, and is on my craft desk as we speak, as I am by no means finished with this paper, and my lovely sister has just given me some more) and the stamp sets – petite pairs for the sentiment and Fresh vintage for the stamped image which I coloured with prima chalk ink pads. I just added a little ribbon and lace to finish. Nathan and I did fit in time today to do some photo -ing, but I haven’t sorted through them all yet, but we might have new stuff tomorrow… Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Little darlings

I love the pastel shades of this new paper from graphic 45 – Little darlings. I used stampin up cardstock – pink piroutte for the base card, and added a little bit of lace, and fussy cut a couple of the butterflies from the paper , mounted the panel on cream bazil and inked the edges with tim holtz tumbled glass ink. I have been playing around with stamps and ink today, I only recently bought a craft mat – how did I ever manage without one? hopefully tomorrow Nathan will get the camera out and I can show you what I have done.. Til tomorrow….

Field flowers 2

Here is card number 2 using my new stampin up stamp set – Field flowers. The inks used were stampin up tangerine tango, more mustard, and old olive, and the cardstock was also stampin up daffodil yellow, tangerine tango and old olive. I just added 3 brads and some ribbon. Its been another very hot day here in Adelaide, and I have been out celebrating Dads 80th birthday with Mum, dad and my 2 sisters. Have eaten far too much and now have to face the kitchen to feed the blokes here who didn’t come out with us!May or may not visit the craft room tonight – it depends whether it cools down a bit…. Til tomorrow….

HUmmingbird 3

This week has seen the release of a lot of new paper collections from various overseas companies, and I have been beside myself with so many choices. I think I may have bought too many, and the clue to that is the fact that when I walk into my craft room it actually smells like new paper – you know that glorious inky smell….. I am going to be very busy over the next few weeks ( months ) using it all! Today we are still using paper from kaisercraft Hummingbird collection – this time the 12″ papers and a couple of bits out of the collectables that match this collection. I had a lovely day with my ladies in the Matuere Ladies class, lots of laughs today. For now, cook some tea and off to the craft room.. Til tomorrow….

Glitz designs Whatnots

Now… about that previous post…. Nathan was wandering around the house taking random photos, as he does and we don’t take any notice of him, but I did not realise that he posted that oneĀ  – I am going to have to get a password on here! The desk is a little tidier now ( but not by much!) Todays group of three cards focus on a pack of Glitz Designs Whatnots I purchasedĀ  before xmas.. If you ever see these packs, take my word they are good value for money. I just used up scraps of patterned paper and cardstock and a bit of ribbon to finish.Til tomorrow….
