I am back from my cruise and the time has just flown by! We had a very rough crossing to Tasmania, luckily I didn’t suffer from seasickness but many people did. I had full classes though, and met some lovely ladies, and a few gentlemen!Once we arrived in Tasmania the weather was lovely and cool, a welcome change from here in Adelaide. I have come back to the heat and really will be glad when the cooler weather arrives. Todays card is a card i made using lots of elements foiled with my Go Press and Foil machine ( couture creations). There is a bit of embossing with folders from Kaisercraft just using my big shot die machine, then onto the foiling…. The wooden Rose is by Kaisercraft, the Happy Birthday is chipboard by Dusty attic, and both are foiled with deep red foil through the go press. The oval is also foiled and it is a couture creations stamp, specifically made for the foil machine. I finished my card off with a little bling and a ribbon bow. Til tomorrow…..

Today we are back to cards, and these are the final two cards I have made using My Minds Eye In Bloom papers. I made my favourite double zig zag cards and relied solely on the papers with just a couple of ribbon bows and some glitter. I die cut the sentiment with Kaisercraft all occasions die.Today is a public holiday here and i have kept the day free to be able to spend some relaxing time in the craft room. All week we have been opening many boxes of new stock at Paper Flourish and I couldn’t resist…I have quite a few new things to create with ..so without further ado I am off to the craft room!! Til Tomorrow….
I really haven’t had the time to play with this collection, but I have made a few for you to see. It’s the Kaisercraft Romantique collection and it lends itself beautifully to the whole Shabby Chic style, a style I will embrace once I get over the whole ripping my paper hang up I have! Here, I have layered a few of the 12 x 12 patterned papers, and fussy cut an acetate butterfly – in this collection there is a whole sheet of these butterflies and I love them! The leaves are die cut with creative expressions dies, and I inked around every edge with Tea Dye distress ink. I tied a big bow and on top of that I glued a Prima flower with dangly bits that I have been holding onto for ages! The top layer of patterned paper has a lacey print but at the bottom of it I added my own lace in a taupe colour ( Stampin Up lace). I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas break, with family and friends, I can’t believe that’s Christmas over for another year! we still have our son home for another few days before he flys back to Sydney next week so the celebrations continue on here ! Til tomorrow….
I only used a little of the kaisercraft Rose Avenue collection just as the background layer, ( from the 6 x 6 pad) and went over the top with the embellishing! I have some beautiful wide lace which I used here, the strip across the top of the lace is from the bottom of a 12 x 12 sheet of rose avenue paper( the identity strip that runs along the bottom), a ribbon bow, one of my resin frames…I am getting low on them now..must find out where I can get them from….I backed the resin frame with a little piece of a trellis die cut and decorated it with a couple of flowers, a die cut leaf and a butterfly from the rose avenue collectables pack. The greeting is from the 6″ pad backed with a scrap of patterned paper. This weekend is all about wrapping presents and quickly making some gift tags which I always seem to forget! Til tomorrow…..
Todays card is a card i made with the retirement village ladies. I love layering up shades of colours and pink always looks gorgeous. The die is a spellbinders label die, and after die cutting in white cardstock I ran it through my swiss dots embossing folder..and oldie but goodie…never grows old! Then it was just a matter of gluing on some roses ( from Iam roses) and a ribbon. To glue on the roses I used 450 glue which is a clear fast drying glue perfect for this job! A rainy day here, and I have just got home from work so i am off to have some lunch! til tomorrow…..
Today is a double Zig Zag fold card, which is really popular just now, and I have fiddled with the measurements so that it fits into a normal C6 envelope. I have taught a couple of classes using this design and it is next on my list to do a youtube video on how to do it when Nathan and I both have a free minute at the same time! Meanwhile I decorated these ones with Kaisercraft Golden Grove papers, and the matching sticker sheet. The kaisercraft sticker sheets that they release with their collections are perfect for this design because the sticker strips are exactly the right size for the slimmer zig zag strip on the front of the card. I have put up 2 cards today because I may not get back here til the end of the week.. working full days most of the week, so I will see you all when I get to the end of the week! …

Two cards today because I have been missing for a few days, very busy at work putting out lots of new stock, and buying quite a bit of it! We are back to Kaisercraft golden Grove which was one of the ranges they released last month, and is full of lovely rich autumn colours. IThe top card is a card I made for my uncles Birthday, he is a gardener and I thought he would enjoy the imagery and colours reflected in his garden. It’s all 12 x 12 sheets from the range as well as the matching collectables. The lower card also uses pieces from a 12 x 12 sheet, with a flower and butterflies fussy cut from one of the sheets as well. If you look closely you can see some little rain drops ( or dew drops) which I made using some clear Nuvo. I have been experimenting with Nuvo, it comes in a huge range of colours and is very much like Liquid pearls, but better value, larger colour range and holds the perfect dome shape better…can you tell I am a fan? It comes in metallic ,glitter ( much better than stickles), pearl and clear . I have also been trying to clean up the craft room, but that is not going so well, too many distractions! Til tomorrow….
I have another couple of Go Press and Foil cards to show, so this one today.. I used a kaisercraft embossing folder for the frame ( I have since mastered foiling with my embossing folders so that will be coming soon!) and foiled a todo sentiment stamp made especially for the foiling machine, trimmed it to fit into the frame, and added Green tara flowers, and a foiled chipboard butterfly. the greenery were die cuts on my desk, I have got into the habit when I am diecutting greenery and flourishes to cut a few extra so that I don’t have to stop and dig out dies when I am on a making streak. I have started on my Christmas cards at last, with some lovely new Kaisercraft christmas paper called Christmas Jewel. It has amazing shades of purple and lilac, and silver and I wasn’t going to purchase, but these cards are making themselves, easy paper to work with! til tomorrow….
I used the same kaisercraft ornate die set on this card, with kaisercraft lilac whisper 12 x 12 papers and collectables. The resin frame is one I bought a few of and can’t get any more…shame, they are fantastic, and weigh very little so perfect for cards. Luckily I still have some left so you will see them pop up now and again on my cards. For the rest of the card just some flowers and a ribbon bow. Today I have spent some time experimenting with some new products, I like to keep abreast of the products we sell at the shop so that I can recommend with confidence so today I was playing with Nuvo embossing powder, and I was impressed, once heat embossed it looks like you have triple embossed it is so thick even though it is only one application. I tried it with a script stamp as well to see if you would lose the definition as it sems to be so thick but you can still see the script, so thats good. I feel this product warrants more testing with different colours! I also had some new dies, and some Prima Colour Bloom spray mists I was playing with, and of course in between doing some more Go Press and Foiling on some Christmas chipboard pieces, so lots of bits and pieces on my desk to turn into cards. Great fun! Til tomorrow….
Last month kaisercraft released a range called Lilac Whisper, the colours in this range are beautiful and subtle, so i had a very quick play with it when it came home, sadly I haven’t got back to it yet so only have a couple of cards to show so far. Todays one uses a sheet of the 6″ pad as the background layer, and I have used a sentiment from a terrific piece of the 12 x 12 from the same range which has so many sentiments on it. A lot of collectables grouped together, and a Kaisercraft ornate die cut from some more of the 6″ pad.I am home for the day now after working this morning, and it is so cold here, although I love the thought of doing some crafting I have a feeling the afternoon will be spent with a good book in front of the heater! Til tomorrow…
