Pretty in Pink!

_MG_4591 (Medium)Todays card is a card i made with the retirement village ladies. I love layering up shades of colours and pink always looks gorgeous. The die is a spellbinders label die, and after die cutting in white cardstock I ran it through my swiss dots embossing folder..and oldie but goodie…never grows old! Then it was just a matter of gluing on some roses ( from Iam roses) and a ribbon. To glue on the roses I used 450 glue which is a clear fast drying glue perfect for this job! A rainy day here, and I have just got home from work so i am off to have some lunch! til tomorrow…..

An order with new dies!

img_6787Before we move on to a new series I thought I would post a card I made for an order this week because I made it using some new dies I picked up from Paper Flourish. The white leafy flourishes and pretty  flowers are dies by Paper Roses, the white flower is a memory box die and the butterfly ( an older die of mine) is kaisercraft. The embossing folder I used on the background is also kaisercraft. Just some pearls and this was a great card for using up scraps of cardstock, and I love those flowers. I left them flat on this card but you could curl the petals too for a different look. I am off to the craft room now as I have a few more cards to do for orders. Til tomorrow….

A hodge Podge of stampin Up!

Here is a card I designed for a previous village lesson, using mainly stampin Up products. The embossing folder is Couture Creations Cottage florals, and the rest of the products used are all stampin Up – Poppy Parade, so saffron, whisper white, old olive and certaianly celery cardstock,Decorative labels punch, bird punch, Four frames stamp set, language of friendship stamp set ,little leaves die, and a flower punch. I added liquid pearls to the centre of the flowers. What I like about this card is the fact that once I had stamped the bird, it cut out perfectly with the punch, and the pattern lifts it. I had a lovely morning over at paper Flourish setting up our August lesson – I love it when a plan falls into place and I am looking farward to teaching that class! Now, back in the craft room I am working on Fathers day cards, only another dozen or so to go… Til tomorrow….
