Kaisercraft Rose Avenue papers from the 6″ pad, with the matching collectables, and an acetate butterfly that was found on my desk…I have used a couple of flowers, some lace and ribbon and I die cut a Kaisercraft border die. The green leaves are die cut with a Sue Wilson die and the white leaves are punched with a Stampin Up punch. To give the leaves some movement I used a flower shaper tool ( a tool with a little ball on the end and a new favourite tool for me!) to curl the leaves a little bit. Here we will take a little break from the Kaisercraft Rose Avenue collection and find something else to look at for a few days before coming back to it later …In the craft room I have been jumping from one thing to another, I seem to have lots of projects on the go, and my desk has disappeared under the weight of lots of on-going projects so it is time to organise myself!Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Rose Avenue number 2….
I used a piece of patterned paper from the 6″ pad for the first layer of todays’ card, and a strip of paper left on my desk from yesterdays card ( also from the 6″ pad) for a border across the bottom, with a strip of old fashioned lace peeking out from the top of it. The sentiment is from a piece of the Rose Avenue 12 x 12 sheets and this time I trimmed it a little bigger than the frame, and inked around everything with tea dye distress ink. A die cut flourish, flowers and ribbon were the finishing touches.I am spending the morning at the craft desk putting finishing touches to januarys lessons, and I am so happy to report that all the cruise cards are cut,die cut embossed and ready to pack!! I am teaching tonight and looking forward to catching up with my ladies! til tomorrow….
chipboard foiling..

This is the card I made that inspired the whole theme of the class I taught this week at Paper Flourish. I loved the mix of white and soft sea green. I have used a Stampin Up embossing folder, Paper Rose nested stitched dies, and the sentiment is a Dusty Attic chipboard piece which I foiled in the Go Press and Foil machine. The green foilage is a Memory box die, and all the flowers are from I am Roses. I must fly now as we are off to a garden wedding, hope the weather stays dry! Til tomorrow…..
kaisercraft Mint Wishes number 6
This is the last of my Kaisercraft mint Wishes cards. The left over of my 3 sheets of paper I gave to Mum. This one isn’t a Christmas card, it’s a card for any occasion! I did like the pastel green colour used in this range, and really this was just a corner panel of one of the sheets of paper, with a strip stuck across the bottom and a punched butterfly in the top corner. I highlighted little bits of the design with kindyglitz.A whole new series starts tomorrow! Til tomorrow…..
Pretty in Pink!
Todays card is a card i made with the retirement village ladies. I love layering up shades of colours and pink always looks gorgeous. The die is a spellbinders label die, and after die cutting in white cardstock I ran it through my swiss dots embossing folder..and oldie but goodie…never grows old! Then it was just a matter of gluing on some roses ( from Iam roses) and a ribbon. To glue on the roses I used 450 glue which is a clear fast drying glue perfect for this job! A rainy day here, and I have just got home from work so i am off to have some lunch! til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft golden Grove 4 and 5

Two cards today because I have been missing for a few days, very busy at work putting out lots of new stock, and buying quite a bit of it! We are back to Kaisercraft golden Grove which was one of the ranges they released last month, and is full of lovely rich autumn colours. IThe top card is a card I made for my uncles Birthday, he is a gardener and I thought he would enjoy the imagery and colours reflected in his garden. It’s all 12 x 12 sheets from the range as well as the matching collectables. The lower card also uses pieces from a 12 x 12 sheet, with a flower and butterflies fussy cut from one of the sheets as well. If you look closely you can see some little rain drops ( or dew drops) which I made using some clear Nuvo. I have been experimenting with Nuvo, it comes in a huge range of colours and is very much like Liquid pearls, but better value, larger colour range and holds the perfect dome shape better…can you tell I am a fan? It comes in metallic ,glitter ( much better than stickles), pearl and clear . I have also been trying to clean up the craft room, but that is not going so well, too many distractions! Til tomorrow….
Autumn colours
Last month at my craft and chat group the challenge was autumn colours, and this was one of my cards for that challenge. I used Kaisercraft Sage and Grace papers for the background, and a memory box die for the leaves, and Stampin Up Botanical Blooms dies for the flowers. The centres of the flowers are liquid pearls. I had a great day in the craft room yesterday and have designed half the lessons I need for the cruise classes. My son flies back to Sydney later today, it’s been lovely spending the week with him, and we had a great night last night joining a Ghost Tour of our old Adelaide Gaol with my 2 sisters, and nephew as well. I found the history and stories interesting, but no ghostly visits, although my 2 sisters would beg to differ with a very cold breath being blown in their faces and my sisters coat button dropping off and causing great consternation in the group! A fun way to pass a couple of hours and learn more about our city at the same time.Today I will spend just a little time in the craft room while inspiration is high and continue the cruise cards as the drafts have be submiited in a week or so. til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft High Tea number 1 ….
Today I am starting a new card series, using Kaisercraft High Tea collection. I love this paper collection, and have made a lot of cards with it, so we may have a bit of a break half way through..This first card has a layer of paper from the 6″ pad on top of a pink card base. I have some resin frames bought very cheaply, and I can’t get them any more, but they are perfect for cards as they are very lightweight. You will see them featured on future cards. I used a sentiment from the same pad, and stuck it behind the frame,it fitted perfectly! I die cut a circle from some more patterned paper from the pad, and the two die cuts I used before decorating with assorted flowers were memory box lorelia leaf and Paper Rose ornate circle. The weekend is here and I am so looking forward to relaxing in the craft room after all my house work is done! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 portrait of a Lady number 5…
I have the morning off today as I am teaching tonight,so I thought I would post the last of my Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady cards ( for now, of course I will come back to this paper at a later date!) Today’s card has a black card base, and the image is fussy cut from one of the 12 x 12 papers. There is a bundle of assorted flowers and punched leaves in the bottom corner. This one was a quick and easy card to put together, and sold at the craft fair along with all the other cards in this series. I had a lovely three days at the craft fair, catching up with like minded crafters, buying some supplies such as lace, and selling a lot of the cards I have made over the last year. This is great because i can start filling my boxes all over again for next year! Til tomorrow…..
Graphic 45 Portrait of a lady….(2)
On my desk was some very thick acetate from packaging and it was perfect to make this card. I took a square blank card and chopped a large piece from the front middle section, and replaced it with the acetate, keeping cardstock at the bottom of the card for weight and balance.( I attached lace to this piece). The rest of the card was decorated with various pieces of patterned paper from the Graphic 45 range.. Portrait of a Lady. The front image was attached behind the acetate with very small glue dots. Although they are just visible they are not too noticable. I added lots of flowers and some punched greenery in the left corner. This is a favourite card and will be hard to sell! Today is going to be a day spent in the craft room, I haven’t had much time to get in there and just create lately so I am looking forward to it! til tomorrow…..
