A post on the run tonight as it’s shopping night.. This is my second card using Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6″ paper pad. The flowers and leaves are Prima, and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fern leaves. The greeting is a Stampin Up stamp.I of course also added a little ribbon! Til tomorrow…..

Sweet Nothings…..
Now I know we haven’t even celebrated Christmas yet, and here I am posting a Mothers Day card, but I need to make 100 Mothers day cards this year, and thought I would do a couple a week to keep ahead. This new paper from kaisercraft – Sweet nothings is perfect for Mothers day, and lately every card I do seems to have a lovely vintage feel to it. For this card I just used the 6″ pad and lace and flowers. I did ink every edge with Antique Linen Ink, and the leaves were punches from my trusty Stampin up bird punch. I love this collection of papers, and it may be one that I go back for seconds for! I have managed to get over a dozen male cards done today, so I am looking forward to getting out the bling and glitz after tea and creating a bit more with this paper! Til tomorrow…..
Madame Boutique 2
I have a village lesson to teach tonight, so I actually wasn’t going to post today, but I want to share something with you all . Today when I was shopping at my local shop I found out that yesterday 8 people had their handbags snatched out of their trolleys in the local supermarket. It’s that time of year when people get very brazen in order to fund their xmas shopping, so to you all, my friends, when you are shopping have a good tight grip on your handbags or even better, just have your money, cards and keys in a secure pocket. Now on to todays post. The paper and collectables are from kaisercraft Madame Boutique, the cardstock is Stampin Up Baja Breeze, the flower was created with a sizzix die – flower layers #9 and I used tissue paper and an old dress pattern and added a couple of feathers. The lace is a stamp from Kaisercraft called lace, next time I use it I won’t use such a dark ink pad, a bit more subtle would have been the way to go! Tomorrow you will see how I turned Madame Boutique into a mens card… Til tomorrow…..
My favourite stamp and paper (for today!)
I have skipped ahead a bit in my photo files to show this card – we took some photos of my recent makes, and this was one and I couldn’t resist posting it, because it is my favourite for just now. The paper is My Minds Eye Lost and Found Rosy ( absolutlely gorgeous colours) and the bird stamp is Young Vermillion by Stampin Up . I coloured the bird by daubing brown , orange, and yellow ink onto cream cardstock, then stamping in dark brown, and cutting out the image. I added a little red onto his chest after cutting. On the card I added Prima leaves, assorted flowers and a feather. The greeting is Stampin Up Perfectly penned, also a favourite and you will probably see it more than once on my blog! Today I am playing with the new kaiser paper releases for december – also beautiful – and enjoying myself immensely! Til tomorrow…..
cuttlebug and sizzix dies no.3
I’m calling this a cuttlebug card as I used three different sizzix dies on this one. The thanks, flower and Leaf dies were all used. The paper is Madame Boutique by Kaisercrafft. After saying in my last post that I am finished with xmas cards, I received an order for 25, so its back to xmas for me! Til tomorrow…..
Mainly Cuttlebug 2..
I have called this post mainly cuttlebug because all the embellishments were made using my cuttlebug and this list of dies – Sizzix dies – tattered florals, 3d floral, thanks, and Stampin up leaves die. The papers are from kaisercraft Pink Gelato collection, and I also used a martha stewart punch and some bling and ribbon.I have officially started 2 weeks holidays, so I am looking forward to some rest and relaxation! Til tomorrow….
Prima Romantique + Acetate
Well, I must say I am feeling a little better today, and actually sat in the craft room for a short while this morning, and created a couple of cards, but I have developed the worst symptom so far this week – No Voice! Anyone that knows me knows this is a disaster of mega proportions -not able to speak… just horrible! The dogs just sit and stare at me and my son jumps every time I go near him – he says I am sneaking up on him, but obviously usually I start the conversation before I get to him which gives him warning I am coming, which is not happening today. Todays cards were a bit of an experiment – I wanted to see if this gorgeous acetate would go through the cuttlebug, which it did, beautifully. The acetate is teresa Collins Posh lace, and the papers are Prima Romantique. I also used assorted ribbons, stick pins, flowers and lace.
Group of three cards
Today I taught a lesson over at Paper Flourish, and as ever had a good time, and some laughs with my group of mature ladies. Last Friday I taught a lesson at the retirement village and the three cards here are the cards we made. We used kraft cardstock, and Kaisercraft Blae and Ivy 6″ paper pad, along with nestabilities Labels eight dies, assorted flowers, ribbon, sentiment stamps, liquid pearls -platinum, and a stampin up bird punch. Well I only got three of my xmas cards made last night as I got distracted (who knew that would happen?) and ended up making quite a few non xmas related cards. I can see its going to be a long journey for the xmas card making! Til tomorrow…..
Fourth time lucky!
This is the fourth time I have typed this blog today . I don’t know where they are disappearing to but they are not on my blog! My techie support is not being very supportive, in fact is a bit annoyed with me but its not my fault! Anyway as I have said a few times now I am jumping about abit this week, but wanted to show the other two cards i made using Kaisercrafts new paper Blae and Ivy. On this card I also used Kaiercraft rub ons, prima swirl bling, Nestabilities label eight, assorted flowers and leaves, platinum liquid pearls and my little corner rounder. We had a good class today, and now I am planning my village class which will involve these kaisercraft papers. Til tomorrow….
Blae and Ivy
I admit I’m addicted to paper, so its always exciting when I see Kaisercrafts monthly new releases. This one is called Blae and Ivy, and it nearly defeated me as its not colours that I usually work with, but the cards I have so far made with it are my favourites at the moment! I couldn’t find any grey flowers, so I dyed some white ones using a drop of Tim Holtz Weathered wood distress ink reinker in a mister with some water and liberally spraying. I was most impressed with the results and will be using that technique again. I used my sizzix stampin up leaves die, stampin up basic grep cardstock, martha stewart lace doily punch, and ribbon, and when the card was all together I brushed some clear perfect pearl powder on the flowers to lift them a little bit. Today has been all about using up old collections, and many cards later I can say that I have no more kaisercraft candy lane left.. a bit sad really….Til tomorrow..
