I couldn’t resist making and exploding card when I saw the range of Graphic 45 Flutter..Butterflies everywhere! I have a you tube video on my you tube channel that shows step by step how to make this exploding box which folds down to fit into a normal sized envelope. The link is over there on the right of your screen! I have been crafting a lot this week but its all for the cruise I am teaching on in December. I haven’t had much notice really, and have to prepare 5 classes, but I am so excited to be going on the Vasco Da Gama, and being December this time I can do some Christmas cards! I have lots of other things coming up too, but more of that later! Til Next time,….
I made these two cards for family birthdays, and I used Graphic 45 Natures Sketchbook 12 x 12 papers. I have done a you tube clip on how to make these super easy box cards, they fold down to fit into a normal sized envelope, I posted one and it arrived safe and sound! The link to my you-tube channel is over there on the right hand side of my blog, ( you may have to scroll down a little bit to get to it). I fussy cut lots of butterflies from one of the 12 x 12 papers. I have spent this morning working on December classes, one more to go and I will  have all my classes for the rest of the year sorted! Where has this year gone? I also spent a bit of time die cutting some scrap card to try out some new dies that have been on my craft desk waiting for me to try out! Til tomorrow…..
Today here the sun is shining, and the spring bulbs Nathan planted are starting to flower so these two cards were my first choice to post today. There is a link to my you-tube video here on my blog down on the right hand side to show you how simple these cards are to construct and once done decorate the panels…Here I used Kaisercraft Golden Grove papers from the 6″ pad. For the flowers I fussy cut them from a piece of Kaisercraft Golden Grove specialty 12 x 12 paper and attached each flower to a strip of acetate with 450 glue, which is a clear strong quick drying glue. This afternoon I am off to visit Mum and Dad, where Mum and I will enjoy a crafty afternoon while Dad will hide in his own craft room, away from the chatter and laughing…venturing out when he hears the kettle boiling to enjoy afternoon tea with us and exclaim over our wonderful crafty makes! Til tomorrow…..
Finally today we make a start on this years Christmas makes, and first up is a folding box of reindeers! The papers for this first series is Kaisercraft Christmas Jewel, and a lot of this collection is already foiled. I bought the 6″ pad, collectables , sticker sheet and a couple of sheets of the 12 x 12 paper. The collectable pack had some reindeer and I had a punch from Stampin Up which I used to punch out a few more in silver foil and glitter cardstock. The little reindeers on the front flap were from the Kaisercraft chipboard pieces box and I foiled them with my Go Press and foil machine. i will be back tomorrow with more Christmas! til tomorrow….
The final card I made with Kaisercraft Madamoiselle paper collection was this box card.I have simple instructions for constructing this shaped card on my you tube channel ( helens card designs), so much easier than it looks! The papers were from the 6″ pad as was the sentiment and I fussy cut some butterflies from the 12 x 12 sheet from the same collection.I just added some Foliage die cuts ( kaisercraft die) to finish this one. Today I am heading in to the craft room to fulfill some orders, after i tidy my desk..if I can find it under the pile of bits and pieces I keep stacking on it! Til tomorrow…
Today will be my last post for about a week, as I am off to visit my son in Sydney! It is also the last card I made using Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection. I have a you-tube clip ( see link on right hand side of blog) to show you the measurements for my box card, and I have just used the papers, inking around the edges of all the panels with tea dye distress ink, and added a bow. All the other pieces were fussy cut fromthe papers. I spent a little time in the craft room this morning, hoping to prepare my classes for december, but the shoulder is still not the best even with yesterdays cortosone injection, so I have had to give up, and will sit and rest it for a while with a good book! Til next week…
Today on the blog we have uploaded my folding box card video ( this card is also known as a card in a box) I have altered the measurements so that the card fits nicely into a normal c6 envelope.I hope its all straight forward, if you have any queries please let me know! til tomorrow…..
For the final couple of cards made with kaisercraft Bonjour (another paper collection done and dusted!) I made Cards in boxes. The butterfly papers in this collection were perfect for this style of card, and I attached them with acetate so they look like they really are fluttering around. A new range of papers tomorrow, til then….
These two cards are the reason I had this paper ( kaisercraft Little one) out on my desk the other day. I fussy cut the elephants and owls out of some of the 12 x 12 papers in the collection, and made my boxes ( video coming I promise – they are so simple you will be amazed!) and fixed the fussy cutting onto strips of acetate.they wobble about nicely!I have since had to make more owls cards because the three I initially made have gone – I sent one to my Auntie in Perth and it handled the post perfectly and was only the cost of a normal stamp! Much cooler day here and after the week of humidity we have had it is so welcome. Looking forward to a weekend of playing with my new stampin up supplies! til tomorrow…..
