Graphic 45 botanical tea number 1!

IMG_6318 (Medium)I want to say right off the bat that this is not my design! I saw it on the Graphic 45 blog, and fell in love with it so it was the first card I made with the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea papers. having said that, I have changed it a little bit – on the blog it was a mini album, so I changed it to a card, added a ribbon bow in the top right hand corner, and some bling pouring out of the tea pot.Tomorrow we start with my designs! Til tomorow….

Prima doll stamp and simple stories Fresh air

IMG_4523 (Medium)This is my other Prima Doll stamp, and I teamed her up with some Simple stories Fresh Air patterned paper.I used quite a lot of kaisercraft rhinestones, some ribbon and stampin up card stock.I have really enjoyed making these doll stamp cards, and hopefully this weekend I get some time to experiment some more with them.Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 couture collection number 17!

IMG_2087 (Medium)Sorry .. couldn’t help myself! this is the last one in this series for a while, mainly because I have moved on to the new graphic 45 paper collection – botanical tea. Having great fun with it today. This card uses graphic 45 couture collection and stampin up cardstock. I have done a bit of fussy cutting, and thats it! I think this is why I love this companys paper – you don’t need lots of product to make really nice cards – the paper and some cardstock is all you need.Sometimes we rely too much on pre made flowers and lots of die cutting to make really effective cards but with some good quality paper and a little imagination we can save a lot of money and really enjoy ourselves whilst creating! Lecture over… I am off to the craft room to continue making.. I have been on a creative roll today, it’s been great! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Couture Collection 15 and 16

IMG_2083 (Medium)IMG_2086 (Medium)I thought this paper would suit a card made to look like a shop front. These style of cards are one of my favourite to make. Both cards use graphic 45 couture collection papers, and the top card uses a scallop edge punch to make the bottom of the shop awning, while I just used a piece of fussy cut paper for the bottom one.The cardstock is stampin up. After a long week the weekend is finally here and I am looking forward to relaxing in the craft room! Til tomorrow….

IMG_1072 (Medium)As the Easter eggs find their way to our shop shelves, it is time to post a few easter cards i ahve made with graphic 45 Sweet sentiments paper collection. An easy one this one – the image is all one piece from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper, and I just added lace and rhinestones. The butterfly was fussy cut from another piece of the paper collection. off out tonight to investigate the adelaide fringe festival, so til tomorrow…..

Prima doll stamp with velvet crush (10)

IMG_2077 (Medium)I promised myself I wasn’t going to get hooked on the prima doll stamps by Julie Nutting, but.. oh well whats a girl to do? Although I do colour, I much prefer to use these stamps with gorgeous patterned papers, so the only thing I coloured was the hair. the rest has been stamped onto patterned paper and paper pieced together. the paper I used on this one was Kaisercraft Velvet Crush, and for the skin tones i used an old sheet of websters Pages that I had filed away.most paper collections that are released have one sheet that would be suitable for skin tones, so this plan should work for me all the time!the butterflies are from the sticker sheet that was released with velvet crush, and I added a ribbon bow to finish. I taught a very busy class this morning and was grateful to a very dear friend for her help with a lady new to cardmaking, without her help I would have had a class that severely ran over time!I bought a big bag of goodies after class, and can’t wait to sit down tonight after tea and have a good look at what I picked up. Til tomorrow….

Velvet Crush number 6

IMG_1067 (Medium)I have a few more cards to show that I made with Kaisercraft Velvet Crush paper collection. This collection sold out very quickly at my local papercraft store, and I beleive kaisercraft are out of stock at the moment too, it’s been so popular. The colours are gorgeous I have to say… These few cards that I made are Mothers day cards – I start them early because I sell so many Mothers day cards – it’s busier than christmas for me!for this one I used the 12 x 12 papers, and i fussy cut some butterflies out of some of the paper, and there is a butterfly from the collectables there too. The sentiment, cardstock and ribbon are from stampin Up, I used an ek success border punch, and Kaisercraft rhinestones to finish.you could of course change the sentiment to suit your celebration. I am going to spend a good few relaxing hours in the craft room after tea making some engagement and wedding cards. i have pulled out some old collections that are suited to these themes, and I am ready to go! Til tomorrow….

Kiasercraft Blast Off number 2

IMG_7859 (Medium)Another cute card made with Kaisercraft Blast off – 6″ pad and 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper.Added googly eyes, and the cardstock and sentiment stamp are from Stampin Up.The youtube clip has been held up today as Nathan is not well – a bit of sinus problems due to the humidity we are experiencing here.
