Graphic 45 couture collection number 8

IMG_5877 (Medium)Sorry I have been missing for the last couple of days but it has been too hot to sit at the computer – it’s still hot, but we are waiting for a cool change to come in, can’t wait! For todays card I have used some of a 12 x 12 paper, and added quite a bit of fussy cut pieces to it trying to effect a collage effect! i used some stampin up cardstock in black for the card base. We will take a short break from this range so that I can post some of the cards I have been making with Kaisercraft Velvet crush.. gorgeous pinks and purples……and return to graphic 45 couture collection next week… til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 couture collection number 7

IMG_5876 (Medium)Number 7 in my Graphic 45 Couture collection series, and for this one I used a sheet of the 6″ pad for the background paper ( so glad I bought this pad along with the 12 x 12 sheets – it’s all small patterns – perfect for the background layer because as it turns out I fussy cut just about every sheet of the 12 x 12!)and then a collection of fussy cut images from the 12 x 12 papers. I sat over the course of a few evenings watching tv and just fussy cutting, so I have a lovely container of images to delve into already for decorating my cards. I tend to do this now as soon as I bring home any new papers, so that when I get time to create all the hard work is done. Super hot here today, but the rain, thunder and lightening has just started so its going to be very humid shortly. Not nice. I have spent today resting my foot, and it’s back to work for me tomorrow, hopefully all that pain is behind me now. Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Couture collection 4 and 5

IMG_5874 (Medium)Another 2 cards from the same 12 x 12 sheet as yesterdays cards, from graphic 45 couture collection.Again I cut a second image and 3’d the lady images. The card bases are made from stampin up cardstock, and I added some gorgeous lace, ribbon and flowers to finish.I was out and about in the heat today, but did manage to make 6 cards from the new kaisercraft Violet crush before I went out. That paper is lovely, and I can’t wait to get back to it but tomorrow I will be planning out my march lessons.Til tomorrow….

graphic 45 Couture collection 1,2, and 3…

IMG_5873 (Medium)I thought I would ease into this collection with a few simple designs to start. This is a huge group – I was quite prolific with this collection of paper so we might have to break it into 2 or 3 groups, with a little break in between just so boredom doesn’t set in! For these first three, IBecause i had bou used black cardstock for the card bases, and a sheet of 12 x 12 paper for the main images, the background paper is from the matching 6″ pad.from there I just added assorted flowers, lace, ribbon and bling.Because I had bought 3 sheets of the images I used 2 sheets  and 3’d the images by fussy cutting some of the elements such as the hat on the lady on the left etc and mounted with sticky foam pads. For now it’s back to the craft room…til tomorrow….

kaisecraft Paradiso 5 and 6

IMG_5851 (Medium)IMG_5852 (Medium)Two cards tonight, and we will do the same tomorrow night to finish off this range – Kaisercraft paradiso collection – still the same 12 x 12 paper, and some collectables added to them. the top card has a seashell that I stamped and fussy cut . I made good use of the banners on the collectables pack by clustering them in the top left hand corner. Til tomorrow….

Very Vintage – Tilda Country Escape..number 1.

IMG_3168 (Medium)Hello, I hope you all had a lovely restful christmas. I had a busy christmas day, but boxing day was nice and relaxing – it was back to work for a few hours this morning, and I have had a lazy afternoon, and the next 3 days rostered days off, so feeling quite happy about that! Todays card is made with  a 12 x12 paper pad I picked up -and it had a few sheets of die-cuts in the pad as well so great value for money. Its a company I haven’t bought before , – Tilda, and the pad is called Country escape but I loved the very vintageness of it. I fussy cit the flowers from one of the sheets, and inked all my edges with Tea dye distress ink. Of course added some ribbon and some kaisercraft pearls to finish. Til tomorrow….

I stamped  the crab seperately and fussy cut it out and layered it on top  of a piece of hessian. i would like to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to you all, and I hope you have a lovely, safe festive season surrounded by your nearest and dearest, and maybe manage to squeeze a little relaxing crafting in there too! Kaisercraft Butterfly Kisses number 2

IMG_3160 (Medium)Quite a late post tonight as it has been a very hot day today, and is only now starting to cool  down just a little. The papers I used for this one are Kaisercraft Butterfly Kisses , and I used a piece of stampin up cardstock for the base ( bermuda bay )the butterflies were fussy cut from a 12 x 12 sheet – and I am sure those of you who have done my classes will remember the day we used this sheet on our cards – my name was was mud that day with all the fussy cutting we did!I used Kaisercraft rhinestone strips on the butterflies, and a chipboard piece down in the corner.
