For one of my lessons at paper flourish a little while ago I showed my ladies how to make these quick and easy rectangle aperture cards. The trick is to cut the paper to size, place on the card without gluing down and run the whole card front and paper through the die cutting machine at the same time, that way everything lines up perfectly when you come to stick it all down. I find it is easier to hold die , paper and card in place with a little repositional tape when running through the machine. For my card today i went one step further and slipped some acetate in between the paper and card before sticking everything down. I found this lovely printed Kaisercraft acetate while looking for my plain acetate and thought “perfect”! The second photo is the inside of the card. Some lovely stampin up lace, a collectable and tag , scalloped border from the paper pad…oh…This paper is Kaisercraft true Romance and another old favourite..you can see I am trying to work my way through all my papers…i am off to make another one of these because I really like the way it has turnedout, and may want to keep this one! shaped cards..

Every now and again I pull out an older paper range, in this case Kaisercraft Curiosity and do something a little different with it, or team it with new stamps and inks. For this group of cards I made shaped cards. I have done a you tube clip for the box card shape – I fiddled with the measurements so that it will fit in a standard envelope for posting. The link to the clip is on the right hand side of my blog. I think I have done one for the stepper card as well… must check,if not I will get on to that! For the decorating, all was done with just the papers with a bit of fussy cutting and a couple of the matching collectables.A day off today, but a very busy morning, looking forward to a couple of hours relaxing in the craft room! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Mademoiselle
I found a Kaisercraft Mademoiselle card that I haven’t posted yet..I used 12 x 12 papers for this one, and some fussy cut pieces from more 12 x 12 paper. I used a kaisercraft occassions die to die cut the greeting in gold cardstock, added some gold thread behind, and hand crocheted a doily ( still practising !) and added some bead, and bling , ribbon bow , in the centre. The cardstock base is a piece of stampin up cardstock. Til tomorrow….
KaisercraftChristmas wishes 5 and 6..

Twp more cards using Kaisercraft Christmas wishes paper collection. The top card only has a bit of the papers fussy cut, and the focal image of this card is the gorgeous Memory box merry christmas die which I picked up from Paper Flourish the other day and couldn’t wait to try! It cuts beautifully, as all memory box dies do,my favourite brand on equal first with kaisercraft dies! The bottom card is made with some of the 12 x 12 papers from the collection, with one of the card fronts cut from another piece of 12 x 12 paper, another easy card with just a bit of layering and some sequins scattered and a fussy cut bauble.Day off today , shopping done and I am off to the craft room to prepare my october class which is all about traditional christmas colours and images..lovely….til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Christmas wishhes and dies 3 and 4..

My two Kaisercraft Christmas wishes cards today use very little paper, just some baubles fussy cut and the background paper for the reindeer. The main focus are the dies I used ,kaisercraft christmas ones from last year which cut beautifully. I added some bling and some kindyglitz on the reindeer and some little bows on the christmas tree. These are the dies I was looking for the other day, I am glad to report they have turned up! I put them on the shelf behind my desk for easy access, clever idea if only I had remembered that! Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes 1 and 2..

Needless to say I have bought the whole collection – 12 x 12 papers, 6″pad and packet of collectables..The top card is completely made with 12 x 12 papers and a pink bow ( don’t you love the colour of the background paper)and the second card is made up of Baubles fussy cut from the 12 x 12 paper and a greeting popped out from the paper pad. I used stampin up gold twine for the bauble string. This afternoon I am off to Paper flourish where I am going to pick up my crazy dogs stamps..and possibly one or two other things as well! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 1 and 2,

Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe today, I only bought the 6″ pad and one 12 x 12 sheet for fussy cutting and had intended these cards for Fathers day cards, but decided I had enough of those, so these ones turned into birthday cards! The top card is lots of fussy cutting and the addition of a Tim Holtz spinner. The bottom card has a strip of hessian and a really old brad from the bottom of my bits drawer. Otherwise everything on this one is from the 6″ pad. A day off today, shopping done and I am off to the craft room . Til tomorrow….
Back to the beginning….

When I first started cardmaking I made 3D cards. This is before I discovered patterned paper! anyway, now and again I go back to my cardmaking roots and rediscover 3d sheets all over again. I love the act of sitting in front of the TV fussycutting the layers..the most relaxing thing ever, and it is always fun to try an old style with new tools such as the top card with the Kaisercraft Roses embossing folder and the bottom card with swipes of my clear wink of stella pen.I bought a few 3d sheets when I was at the craft fair for a very good price, so over the year you may see some more ideas from me as I create with them. Today i have plans to actually enjoy some quality time in the craft room – something that has been lacking in the past few weeks..til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 safari Adventure the last 2….

Here are the last two cards in my Safari Adventure ( graphic 45 ) series for now.For both cards i have used the 12 x 12 shet that has the card fronts printed on it, which makes for very quick and easy cards. I have added some kaisercraft chipboard pieces on both cards, and some fussy cut pieces and a punched border on the top card.Today is a lazy day in the craft room, after I have organised my teaching bag for my class on Thursday, which I am looking forward to very much! Til tomorrow….
graphic 45 safari adventure 5 and 6 ..birds..

two more bird cards made with graphic 45 Safari Adventure papers. The top card has a fair bit of fussy cutting, with a bow and bling, while the bottom card is so simple. I loved the background paper and didn’t want to cut into it or hide it so I just added a little tag in the bottom corner, with some fussy cut flowers layered onto that for a bit of height, and a kaisercraft starlet at the top of the tag.Busy in the craft room today doing some orders, and some more mens cards for Fathers day, the weather is lovely today so I will enjoy sitting out in the sun too!
