Sorry I have been missing a little bit this week, but I have been working extra hours due to the Christmas rush at work.Over the next couple of weeks I may be posting a little less due to the same reason. We are going back to my Ooh La La cards made with Kaisercraft Ooh La La paper collection and matching collectables. This is the paper I reached for when I damaged my shoulder and couldn’t do any die cutting – things have improved only a little but I have become adept at die cutting with my left hand, but still avoid it when I can! For this card I used papers from the 6″ pad., and layered them up, fussy cutting around the tops of the flower paper layer, and a tag from the pad. A collectables butterfly ,ribbon bow, kaisercraft pearls and green Tara flower all added texture. Til tomorow….

Last 2 Christmas for this year..

Here are the last two Christmas cards for this year! The top card is made with Stampin Up supplies – Star of light stamp set ( I gold embossed the big swirl stamp),and starlight dies, with gold cord, a couple of gold sequins and a snowflake bling ( from Paper Flourish. The embossing folder is last years release from Stampin up.The bottom card was a bit of an experiment, I cut the front of the card quite drastically, and die cut a couple of circles which I stuck to the right hand side of the base card. You can’t see the bits that i stuck because I covered the back of the base card with some white cardstock ( which I stamped a greeting on). The paper is stampin up, and I punched christmas tres, stuck them on white cardstock and fussy cut out. Til tomorrow…
Very simple Christmas Card
This is a very simple Christmas card inspired in part by Pinterest.round right hand corners of base card and layering card, die cut two stars ( Spellbinders die) from the layering card, stick some scrap glitter card behind aperture, and add ribbon and bows, stick onto front of base card, stamp greeting ( stampin up stamp) and die cut two smaller stars ( stampin up dies) to finish.Quick and easy! Next year I will be making more of these in a variety of colours..just wish I had tried it earlier this year! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Silent night 7.
Todays card is a Christmas card made with kaisercraft Silent Night. I have posted a few cards made with this paper collection a few weeks back and this one missed out for some technical reason!I have used some of the matching collectables, inked around all the edges with Tea dye distress ink,and added a gold cord bow. I only have a few Christmas cards left in the queue so over the next couple of days I will post them and then we will put Christmas makes 2016 behind us! I have been slowly making weding cards with Kaisercraft new paper collection – PS I love you, and discovered when I had finished them that they would be too bulky for envelopes so I have been busy making boxes for them..that will teach me to get carried away with embellishing! Wedding and baby cards are my favourite cards to make – What is your favourite card make? Til tomorrow….
Special Christmas card..
A quick visit back to Christmas cards, and this one was made with someone special in mind – she doesn’t like the traditional colours, so each year I get to experiment with non Christmas colours. This is this years one – the paper is from Stampin Up, and the dies are Kaisercraft. I backed the died outline with silver cardstock, ( the actual dies were cut out of black glitter card) and added some silver cord.Til tomorrow…..
Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 7 and 8 the last 2..

Here are my last 2 cards made with Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian for now.The cardstock I used is from Stampin Up and blends in well with the colours on this paper. Just lots of layering and fussy cutting on both cards and a ribbon bow on each for a touch of texture. As I am still restricted with my shoulder as to what i can acheive in the craft room i thought this weekend I might have a try at making some flower sprays, so i have been gathering odd flowers, leaves , wire and various other bits and pieces and will sit down this afternoon and see what happens! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 5 and 6

A quick post today as I am all behind after spending an hour with Nathan chasing that little puppy all over the neighbourhood after she escaped from a hole in the fence which Nathan has now patched temporarily until Joe gets home and fixes it properly! The top card is just one of the images from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper ( graphic 45 Cafe Parisian) and the bottom card is a gatefold design – I like doing them because it’s easy to decorate the inside as well and then there is no “insert” dilemma! I found a scrap of yellow ribbon for the bow. Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 3 and 4

More Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian today, and aren’t those cakes yummy-looking? The colours are gorgeous on this paper, and with some fussy cutting and mounting on foam pads only a bit of kindyglitz ( and a ribbon bow) is required to finish these ones! til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 1 and 2…

Today we start a new series – Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian. I purchased a few sheets of the 12 x 12 of this collection and relied on fussy cutting. A lot!. The first card was just an easing in to get a feel for the papers ,so very simple. The cardstock and trim are from Stampin Up. The second card is much more interesting, with some inking of edges and layering fussy cutting and a bit of kindyglitz. This paper is so very colourful and busy it really doesn’t need much embellishing, just layering is enough. The whole time I was working on this series I wanted cake!I am easing back into the craft room – still no die cutting, but fussy cutting and punching is fine so I have rediscovered all my punches. Isn’t it funny how some things go in and out of vogue..let’s start a movement to bring back punches! They are so portable, quick ( no big machinery required) and with a bit of imagination you can get the same layered effect as dies! The cards Nathan and I photographed this morning will show you all how I re-employed my punches, but we wil finish this series first. Til tomorrow….
The last two Prima Sweet peppermint..

Here are my last two christmas cards using the Prima Sweet Peppermint range, I have lots left over so will return to it for next years cards! The top card is very vitage with lots of inking, distressing, lace, ribbon and bling, while I had a lot of fun with the bottom ( and final) card I made. The chipboard pieces just begged for googly eyes, and not much more to finish this one. Til tomorrow…..
