This week something different for me..The new paper collection from Uniquely Creative is called Steampunk Safari, and although I like the look of steampunk my cardmaking style is really too neat for it but I gave it a go! The clue I think is lots of cogs! The numbers die from Uniquely Creative is also brilliant and I will be using it lots. Next week I will have more cards made from this range to show you but they will be back to my comfort zone! In the meantime, stay safe …til next time…

Mintay floral fussy cutting book…
This week I have three different cards using the same stacking scalloped rectangle die and a few fussy cut images from the Mintay Floral fussycutting book. Just by changing the colours and the sentiments I got my moneys worth from both the die and Mintay book. I have used this die so many times…I love it! Stay safe..Til next time..
Uniquely Creative Gums and Roses..the final three..
I have used about half of this collection, so it will be brought out again! I have loved working with the cute little Aussie animals and birds and the papers haven’t needed much more additional embellishment. On these three cards I have only added extra flowers ( to one card) and some glittery die cutting. I keep saying I am going to start Christmas cards and then get distracted. At the moment I am busy putting together some cardmaking kits for my retirement village ladies. I can’t visit to teach them but they can do my kits easily enough. Where would we be without our hobbies ? In the meantime , stay safe, til next time….
Uniquely Creative Wise and Free..
Here are some more cards I made with Uniquely Creative Wise and Free paper collection and matching Creative cuts. I have added various die cuts that were on my desk waiting to be used, and ribbon, lace, just a few flowers ( on the lower card) and gorgeous little clear resin domes in the centre of some of the flowers. I often have die cuts on my desk waiting to be used because if I have scraps of paper that are too small for layering i will do some die cutting to use them up rather than throw them away, and it’s handy just to be able to grab them when I am in the middle of creating. It’s been another wet and windy week here, just lovely, and toasty warm inside now that we have our new heaters installed – its been perfect for crafting and I have a mountain of cards waiting for Nathan to photo..he can’t keep up! Til next time, stay safe….
Uniquely Creative Wise and Free
Today I have 4 cards that I made with Uniquely Creative Wise and Free papers. This is an Australian company ( although they do have some stockists in America) and it is close to my heart as friends of mine own it, and their designs are my favourite style. On these cards I have added some die cutting and flowers,a scrap of ribbon but thats all. It’s been bitterly cold here, and we finally gave in and installed a couple of heaters. It is toasty warm in the house now and everyone is happy! restrictions have eased a bit but we are still socially distancing and only go out for necessities as I have elderly parents and want to keep them safe. Til next time, Stay safe,
Kaisercraft Sunkissed 4, 5 and 6…
Three more cards made with kaisercraft Sunkissed paper collection. I haven’t added anything else to these cards, the papers are all that is needed, and they are certainly bright and cheerful…just what we need this week, with all that is going on around us, and the weather here so very cold! Please stay safe, til next time….
Kaisercraft Sunkissed 1, 2 and 3..
This weeks cards are made using kaisercraft Sunkissed..I thought after a week of rain and cold weather we could use a little brightness! We never complain about the rain though! All of these cards only use the 6″ pad and the matching collectables. I may have done a little fussy cutting, but nothing else has been added to these ones. My craft desk today is covered with ribbon, lace and flowers and I am working with some new Prima paper, so I am back in my comfort zone!Til next time, stay safe…..
Prima Apricot Honey..
This weeks cards are two I thoroughly enjoyed making! All sorts on these Prima Apricot Honey paper collection cards. I embossed cardstock ( a technique we don’t see enough of these days..it’s an easy way to add texture to your card) , lace, flowers, handmade resin frames, lace, and assorted die cuts. I have been busy this week putting card orders together and posting around the country.. Always exciting when an order comes through! It has been very cold and wet here ( we never complain about the rain!) so it’s been perfect for cardmaking and I have spent many happy hours at the craft desk. I have been practising my stamping.. next time I will show you some of those cards.. til next time , stay safe…
Mintay Cosy Evening..
This week I was working on a project with Mintay Cosy Evening, and I had a few leftovers. Rather than store them away I made a few cards with them. I added nothing to the finished cards…solely the paper, with a little fussy cutting. I am happy to say all scraps have been dealt with! I have spent so many happy hours sitting at my craft desk, I am so glad I have this hobby at this time, escaping to a happy creating space. I have even taken the time to find some of my older stamp sets, and have been embracing inky fingers again! Til next time, stay safe….
BoBunny Butterfly Kisses
Another group of cards I made while I was supposed to be cleaning up the craft room… What can I say, I am easily distracted. After I made the first card ( and these were quick cards…no hunting around for bits of lace and ribbon..everything was found where I was sitting..) I decide that this paper lent itself perfectly to the double zigzag shaped card, so the remaining three were done in that style. I have since filmed a youtube clip showing you how easy this card is to create. You should be able to find the link over there on the right…maybe click on the three little dots… Nathan has been playing with my site so you may notice a couple of upgrades! Til next time, stay safe…..
