Bo Bunny Petal lane 1 and 2..

IMG_7089 (Medium)IMG_7093 (Medium)Sorry I have been missing for a few days, I have been settling into my new job and setting up a new routine, but I have a day off today so thought i would catch up on some crafting! We start a new group of cards today, made with Bo Bunny 12 x 12 papers and their matching collectables ( which I think Bo Bunny call Notables …should have paid attention to that!) The top card makes good use of the flag shaped ones, I layered them, added some black bling and stamped a vertical sentiment ( one of my new stampin up stamps). The bottom card focuses more on the background paper with a gorgeous flower collectable, some black sequins, bling, ribbon bow and a sentiment cut from one of the 12 x 12 papers.I will be back tomorrow with some more from this lovely collection, meantime I am off to the craft room! til tomorrow….

A die cut card..

IMG_7099 (Medium)I have playing around with my dies and mixing them up a bit – normally I like to keep the different companies separated…but I am going to bite the bullet and experiment! The simplest way for me to start now that I can finally use my die cutting machine is with different dies, so on this card  have mixed Paper Rose flower and flourish dies with a memory keepers die and a kaisercraft ( butterfly) die. Pearls for a bit of bling and a stampin up sentiment. This one is going to be adapted to a class in the near future. Roast is in the oven, leek and potato soup on the oven, and now it’s craft time! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 1…

img_2722-mediumToday we are starting a new collection of cards made with Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane paper collection. I love this collection, and the class I am teaching this week uses  this paper too! This card has papers from the 6″ pad, and matching collectables on it. I have added some flowers, ribbon and lace ( I picked this lace up in an op shop in a country town close to Adelaide)Just a quick post today as I must go and organise tea, til tomorrow….

Card and matching box..

img_0718-mediumWhile my shoulder was not good ( great day today as my Doctor has cleared me and I am back to normal!)to pass the time I made some flower bunches, and used them on cards only to realise after that they wouldn’t fit into envelopes so I made matching boxes for them. This one has a lovely wide piece of lace on it, the background paper is from kaisercraft PS I love you,and the die is Paper Roses Ornate circle. Just a quick one today, til tomorrow….

An order with new dies!

img_6787Before we move on to a new series I thought I would post a card I made for an order this week because I made it using some new dies I picked up from Paper Flourish. The white leafy flourishes and pretty  flowers are dies by Paper Roses, the white flower is a memory box die and the butterfly ( an older die of mine) is kaisercraft. The embossing folder I used on the background is also kaisercraft. Just some pearls and this was a great card for using up scraps of cardstock, and I love those flowers. I left them flat on this card but you could curl the petals too for a different look. I am off to the craft room now as I have a few more cards to do for orders. Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 1 and 2…

img_3300-mediumimg_3302-mediumToday we start a new series –  Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian. I purchased a few sheets of the 12 x 12 of this collection and relied on fussy cutting. A lot!. The first card was just an easing in to get a feel for the papers ,so very simple. The cardstock and trim are from Stampin Up. The second card is much more interesting, with some inking of edges and layering fussy cutting and a bit of kindyglitz. This paper is so very colourful and busy it really doesn’t need much embellishing, just layering is enough. The whole time I was working on this series I wanted cake!I am easing back into the craft room – still no die cutting, but fussy cutting and punching is fine so I have rediscovered all my punches. Isn’t it funny how some things go in and out of vogue..let’s start a movement to bring back punches! They are so portable, quick ( no big machinery required) and with a bit of imagination you can get the same layered effect as dies! The cards Nathan and I photographed this morning  will show you all how I re-employed my punches, but we wil finish this series first. Til tomorrow….

Prima meadow Lark number 5

Here is a quick and easy one for Mothers Day using Prima Meadow Lark papers. I fussy cut an image of the bird out of a piece of the paper, and used a Martha Stewart punch on another pice of floral paper from the same collection, and backed it with lace. I just added a ribbon bow, and a flower and a little kindyglitz – done! Public holiday tomorrow, so i am looking forward to a little crafting time! Til tomorrow…..

Marry Me….

This is a very early post for me today, but I wanted to put up this special card, as it was made for my cousin who is getting married today – Best wishes Karen and Danny – It was going in the post so I had to really restrict my inner blingness, and the Bridesmaids dresses are red so I wanted to incorporate that too. I used pearlescent card, and the stamped image and sentiment are from Stampin Up Marry Me set. The cardstock is Stampin Up real red. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder, stampin Up bird punch for the leaves, and Martha Stewart Hydrangea punches for the flowers. Liquid pearls – hope they are o.k. in the post – and assorted lace finished it off. Now I am off to te craft room to do an order that has just come through and needed for tonight… Til tomorrow….

Fine and sunny 4

A nice bright card today using kaisercraft Fine and sunny papers , sticker sheet ( for the bunting) and matching collectables. I used Prima canvas ctickers for the lettering and added some kaisercraft rhinestones for the birds eyes.A very busy day at work today, and I am looking forward to an hour in the craft room to unwind. The teen boys cards are coming along slowly, but I really need to think up some more ideas for this type of card. Being able to buy appropriate papers and stamps would be good too. Does anyone have any suggestions?Til tomorrow….
