Autumn colours

_MG_9111 (Medium)Last month at my craft and chat group the challenge was autumn colours, and this was one of my cards for that challenge. I used Kaisercraft Sage and Grace papers for the background, and a memory box die for the leaves, and Stampin Up Botanical Blooms dies for the flowers. The centres of the flowers are liquid pearls. I had a great day in the craft room yesterday and have designed half the lessons I need for the cruise classes. My son flies back to Sydney later today, it’s been lovely spending the week with him, and we had a great night last night joining a Ghost Tour of our old Adelaide Gaol with my 2 sisters, and nephew as well. I found the history and stories interesting, but no ghostly visits, although my 2 sisters would beg to differ with a very cold breath being blown in their faces and my sisters coat button dropping off and causing great consternation in the group! A fun way to pass a couple of hours and learn more about our city at the same time.Today I will spend just a little time in the craft room while inspiration is high and continue the cruise cards as the drafts have be submiited in a week or so. til tomorrow…..

A card with my Go Press and Foil machine…

_MG_9098 (Medium)As you all know , I purchased a Go Press and Foil machine and have been practising with it. The upshot is I have a lot of foiled bits and pieces waiting to be made into cards! I sat down the other day and made a few, this is the first one…Stampin Up cardstock ( watermelon wonder I believe) for the card base, and the  Go Press and foils stamps for the ornate embossed background and the sentiment. some ribbon, a hand coiled flower ( also on my desk waiting for a project) some die cut greenery and flowers from Iamroses website. i have a few hours to myself today, so i am heading into the craft room with no plan..just going to see where the inspiration takes me! Til tomorrow….

die cutting fun!

IMG_0030 (Medium)IMG_0031 (Medium)IMG_0032 (Medium)Hi! So sorry I have been missing for a few days, but this week has been amazingly busy at work, with lots of new products coming in and it was all hands on deck to get them all out on the shelves. I don’t think there was one day when I didn’t come home without purchasing something! Today I have posted 3 cards to make up for it, and these cards are very similar to the cards I am teaching next week. I have used what looks like a lot of dies, but really the list is quite short! here goes… Memory box lorelai leaf, Paper Rose Vases and stems,Flower set one and Leaf scrolls. The embossing folders on two of the cards are Kaisercraft decorative frames embossing folders ( you may recognise these from the last post…I do like them!) The flowers on the bottom card are martha stewart punches. Some of you may also have noticed that I embossed the top part of the vase on the top card with one of the embossing folders. These cards have lots of potential as a favourite design because they can been done in lots of different colourways and I think they have made it onto the short list for my cruise cards. Today is Roast day so thats in the oven, and I am really looking forward to sitting in the craft room, new stuff will have to wait though as I am going to start working on my July class cards …all in all a great day ! til tomorrow….

Final Oh so succulent for now..

IMG_0037 (Medium)
For this fianl card in the Stampin Up Oh so Succelent series I used the dies, stamps and papers from the collection.I die cut the flowers from stampin up cardstock, and used some brads that I had which matched the colours perfectly. I smudged some calypso coral ink ( stampin up) on a sponge behind the flowers and tied around the whole panel with a piece of dainty lace. I can’t wait to get back to this collection to try some other colour combinations! Til tomorrow…..

Oh So Succulent..

IMG_0034 (Medium)Over the next couple of posts I will show you what I have been making with my Stampin Up Oh so Succulent stamps, dies and designer papers. This one today uses all Stampin Up supplies, including the sequins and silver thread. The range of dies in this set are lovely, lots of opportunities for lovely built up flowers. Today I am taking a break from preparing for my craft fair and meeting up with some great ladies I converse with in our craft group. It will be a lovely afternoon of crafting and chatting! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Madamoiselle 5 and 6…

IMG_0023 (Medium)IMG_0024 (Medium)Two cards today made with kaisercraft Madamoiselle papers ( because I may not be back here until Sunday…Big sale to prepare for at Paper Flourish). I love the top card, the butterfly is so beautiful, I fussy cut it from one of the 12 x 12 papers, and added some feelers and bling to it. I embossed some brown cardstock, die cut a fancy flourish circle , and added it all to a yellow cardbase. A few yellow flowers ,and a ribbon bow made this one totally different to all the other cards I made with this collection. The second card is back to vintage, with papers from the 6″ pad, lace, doily, collectables from the matching pack, a punched flower ( built up, shaped and with a bit of bling)punched leaves and of course a ribbon bow! Til tomorrow….

An order with new dies!

img_6787Before we move on to a new series I thought I would post a card I made for an order this week because I made it using some new dies I picked up from Paper Flourish. The white leafy flourishes and pretty  flowers are dies by Paper Roses, the white flower is a memory box die and the butterfly ( an older die of mine) is kaisercraft. The embossing folder I used on the background is also kaisercraft. Just some pearls and this was a great card for using up scraps of cardstock, and I love those flowers. I left them flat on this card but you could curl the petals too for a different look. I am off to the craft room now as I have a few more cards to do for orders. Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Afternoon Picnic number 1

IMG_2987 (Medium)This card shows my favourite colour – stampin Up call it pool party, its a lovely clear colour, and tones in so well with the lace that I love using. The designer paper is Afternoon Picnic by Stampin Up, and I also used stampin up ribbon trim, blossom party dies,( for the focal flower) and stamps. I added lace and asorted flowers to finish.Still working on christmas cards – next year i am starting earlier and pacing myself! Til tomorrow…

English rose … the last I promise….

I farewelled this paper some time ago, but Nathan and Ididn’t take any photos this weekend, and I was going back through my files to see what hadn’t been posted yet, and I found this group of cards, which is – I promise – the last of kaisercraft English rose paper ( mainly because I haven’t got any of that paper left) and a collection of ribbon and flowers, and some sizzix tattered florals made with my cuttlebug.I am looking forward to spending a few hours in the craft room tonight, I really haven’t had time for a nice long card making session all week, and have quite a few ideas I want to try out. Til tomorrow….
