Helens Not So Shabby…

IMG_8097 (Large)IMG_8099 (Large)IMG_8102 (Large)Here are a few cards I taught in my Not So Shabby class at paper Flourish. I call them Not So Shabby because no matter how hard I try my shabby cards still come out looking quite clean! On the top two cards we did some stitching, layering and distressing, while on the bottom card we painted our frame with prima sparks paint and did some embossing. The weather here is so strange, we have had thunder, rain and lightning this morning, but it is 35C so very hot and humid. Not good weather for anything except sitting under the air con vent! We have picked all the cherries ( 15 Kilos this year) and this morning have started picking the apricots and tomatoes so the garden is very productive just now.. Til tomorrow….

teen Male card….

IMG_3696 (Medium)Today I have my mind on young male cards as I have to make one for my nephews birthday, so thought I would post one I made earlier! I used Kaisercraft Attitude paper for the background, and stamped ( Deep Red stamp company) a drum set and just highlighted the image with a gold pen.A bit of paper piercing, and hand sewing and some assorted twine to finish. The nephew in question is not a drummer, so this one won’t do for him, so it’s back to the craft room for me! til tomorrow….

Prima Stationers desk number 1

IMG_3723 (Medium)A vintage style card today made with Prima Stationers desk paper and matching prima flowers. I handstitched around my papers, and added some lace, organza ribbon and a memory box flourish. The striped piece on the card is cut out using my memory keepers flower maker – I stopped at the first stage, instead of going on and folding it all up to make a flower – I liked the punched effect, just another way to use the flower board if you have one! Til tomorrow….
