Kaisercraft Letters to santa 13 and 14…the final…

_MG_9857 (Medium)_MG_9858 (Medium)Here we are at the final two Cards i have made with Kaisercraft letters to Santa collection, and what fun i have had with this paper! Both of these cards use the 12 x 12 papers in the collection for the background pieces, and the long stickers on the sticker sheet for the smaller z fold piece. There is a pine cone on the top card which I foiled with chocolate foil and my go press and foil machine, Nuvo drops were also used on both cards for the red berries. a bit of ribbon and bows and these were quick and easy! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa double zig zag cards….

_MG_9854 (Medium)_MG_9856 (Medium)Both of todays Zig Zag cards use the 6″ pad from Kaisercraft Letters to Santa for the layers, and the long borders on the sticker sheet for the smaller zig zag piece. The top card has an image from the 12 x 12 pull apart piece, and a ribbon bow and the bottom card has some fussy cut postage stamps from a 12 x 12 piece of paper and some gorgeous gathered lace as well! I have had an interesting morning in the craft room experimenting with my Go press and foil machine for a December class. I have discovered that clear acetate foils beautifully, and I have been spraying some foiled die cuts as well, and now to decide which techniques will make the cut into the class! For now though it’s tea time! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 9 and 10….

_MG_9852 (Medium)_MG_9853 (Medium)And we are back to Kaisercraft letters to santa, and the last few cards in this series are z-fold cards. The top card has papers from the 6″ pad decorating the panels, a Christmas Tree collectable ( painted a little with Kindyglitz), and a greeting from the sticker sheet. the second card  also has papers from the 6″ pad decorating the panels, and the smaller z-fold strip has a long sticker from the sticker sheet across it. The greeting is from the 6″ pad. This weekend I must sort out the cruise cards, working out what is left to prepare for them and I am going to get out the go press and foil machine and try some other techniques with it for a forthcoming class at paper Flourish. I want to see what other materials we can foil with it so should be a good experiment! til tomorrow…..

A mixed bag Christmas card…

_MG_9840 (Medium)On my craft table at any one time there is a jumble of lots of leftovers from various projects I have been working on, and this card uses a lot of the Christmas bits that were left on there after my last creating session! Here goes with the list! ….Kaisercraft Christmas tree die ( heat embossed with Nuvo gold embossing powder), Kaisercraft Letters to santa collectable and Wooden star flourish ( foiled with go press and foil machine) , Stampin up Hometown greeting die ( for the row of houses) and a piece of their designer paper, and a piece of white glitter card. I haven’t been in the craft room this week yet, busy working putting out lots of lovely new stock in the shop and trying hard to resist the temptation, so far so good, but the week isn’t over yet! Til tomorrow…..

A Christmas village..

_MG_9839 (Medium) We are going to take a small pause in the Kaisercraft letters to Santa series today so that I can show you a card I made with Stampin Up Hometown Greetings Die set and a piece of patterned paper from their Christmas Around the the World designer series paper pack. I die cut the houses from  gold and white glitter cardstock, and baqcked the houses with some shiny pieces of an acetate type piece.. I have no idea what it was, Mum handed it to me over the table, unsure of where she had got it, but it worked a treat as windows. Next time I do these, I will use some plain acetate as I have no more of the scrap mum gave me, and I will try colouring the clear acetate with Copic markers to see if I can get the same light shining through technique. The trees and star are Kaisercraft wooden pieces, foiled with my Go Press and Foil machine. Our clocks jumped forward an hour for daylight saving, and I have spent all morning chasing my tail, wondering where the day is going…Time is truly flying! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa…7 and 8

_MG_9849 (Medium)_MG_9851 (Medium) Another Gatefold card today, using papers from the 6″ pad, some pretty lace and a couple of Kaisercraft die cut Christmas trees which I embossed with Nuvo gold embossing powder. The bottom card has another two Die cut trees, this time just touched with some Kindyglitz, and I hand cut a bit of a hilly background from white glitter card. the collectables on this card are from the Letters to Santa range. Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 5 and 6..

_MG_9847 (Medium)_MG_9848 (Medium)Hello There! continuing on with my Kaisercraft Letters to Santa series, the top card uses the 6″ pad, collectables and ribbon, as well as some kindyglitz for shimmer, and some red Nuvo drops for my berries. The lower card is a gatefold design, with papers from the 6″ pad and images from the 12 x 12 pull apart sheet, and a couple of the collectables as well. I like doing gatefold cards for Christmas cards because it’s quick and easy to decorate the inside panel rather than having to stop and prepare an insert ! Quick post this afternoon, I will sign off now and go and prepare some dinner, til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 3 and 4..

_MG_9845 (Medium)_MG_9846 (Medium) Today I have used the 6″ pad on both cards, even the fussy cutting elements, with the exception of the santa image which comes from the pull apart 12 x 12 sheet. I have used the Nuvo drops on all my red berries, and added some gorgeous ribbon and lace on the second card ( which is a little blurry…Nathan must have sneezed!). As usual every thing is inked around the edges with my go-to distress ink which sits on my desk..Tea Dye. All packed and ready to head out to my monthly craft and chat gathering, gee time flies, it just seemed like last week we were all together! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 1 and 2…

_MG_9843 (Medium)_MG_9844 (Medium)After a short break we are back to Christmas Cards! This series is a big one so i am going to post these ones 2 at a time. The paper collection is Kaisercraft Letters to santa, and I purchased the 6’pad, 12 x 12 papers and the collectables so on most of these cards you will see a bit of all these elements.  The top card is 6″ pad on the base, collectables in the corners and the image is  from a piece of 12 x 12 paper fussy cut and inked around the edges with tea dye distress ink. I foiled a piece of kaisercraft wooden flourish with green foil and added red berries with some Nuvo drops. I used the same products on the second card with the addition of ribbon and lace. We have had some lovely weather here this week, so I have spent a little bit of time sitting in the garden enjoying the sun on my face, but today I am going to do some seriuos die cutting of flowers and leaves because I want to master the art of flower shaping..I think that is something I could do in the evening while watching tv, and it will put my many flower dies to good use too…Til tomorrow….

Spring flowers!

_MG_4592 (Medium)_MG_4593 (Medium) I have posted two cards today because Nathan and I did some photo’ing today and I have a lot of Christmas cards coming up so we will get started on them next post. Meantime, todays cards…the white/aqua card uses the same spellbinders labels dieas the card on the previous post but I also added a spellbinders lattice die to the back of the die cut frame, embossed some aqua cardstock, and added some flowers. The second card uses a Paper Rose die ..3 dies in this set which I die cut all at once and then just layered onto a mauve piece of bazzill cardstock. added a die cut butterfly and flourish, and flowers to finish. The greeting is a kaisercraft occasions die , die cut from foil cardstock. I am teaching a class tonight over at paper Flourish, so this morning I have been finishing a couple of projects left half way through on my craft table, and thinking about November lessons! Til tomorrow….
