This is the last card for now, that I have to show using my Madison window die ( from poppystamps). The brick wall background is my tim Holtz Bricked wall embossing folder which I inked before running it through the cuttlebug. As with yesterdays card I added a little lace behind the window for curtains, and I used a stampin Up christmas stamp for the view inside the window. The grass is done using the grassland die also from poppystamps.I have been so busy this week, not much crafting happening – I hope to get into my room tomorrow for a little while – I am missing my crafting! Madison window die – Christmas…
Todays post is a Christmas card made with a poppystamps madison window die.I backed it with some acetate, and stuck some lace on the other side to mimic curtains. The brick wall was created with my tim Holtz bricked wall embossing folder which I inked before running through the cuttlebug. The tree stamp was free with a magazine, and I embossed it in gold on the right hand side card. I cut the grass with a poppystamps grasslands die, and added some bling to the tree to finish. madison window die
Nothing but headaches with my blog today – why do wordpress keep changing things, just as I learn how to do it the old way?Anyway,I bought some new dies a little while ago, -Madison window die and various accessories so over the next couple of days I will show you what I have been creating with them.Today I used kaisercraft Miss Nelly papers, and a Tim Holtz bricked embossing folder ( which I swiped with ink before embossing) for the brick wall.I used the madison window die, and backed it with some acetate, and more patterned paper. I filled the Poppy stamps window box die with flowers and leaves punched from my Martha Stewart punches and the Bike was stamped using a stamp from stampin Up Pedal presents stamp set. I hope this post makes sense – my computer has been moved into the room that my Galah resides in while the computer room is being painted and the whole time I have been typing he has been making the same tap tap tapping sound s behind my back – he is very distracting and highly entertaining – cheered me up no end!
Wedding Card
This is a wedding card I made for an order. I took the colours from the invitation, which often gives you a hint of the colour theme for the wedding, and always nice to be able to make a card in the same colours as the wedding theme. I used basic black and pink pirouette stampin up cardstock, and die cut two hearts using an x-cuts die, then ran each heart through embossing folders – cuttlebug divine swirls and swiss dots. I also embossed the bottom panel on the card with stampin up Fancy fans, and die cut a spellbinder Fancy tags two for the sentiment which was a stamp from my stampin up curly cute set.The initials were cut using my cricut machine and storybook cartridge, and I finished it all off with ribbon and perfect pearls.Today I have been paractising my colouring with my new prismacolour pencils, and now I am off to put my coloured images onto some cards. All stampin Up nature card
Todays card is a favourite. I lean towards nature inspired cards when I am making cards just for fun, and this one is no exception. The designer paper is from Stampin up – it’s a retired collection, but I bought up big when it was available because I fell in love with it!Cardstock is stampin up early espresso and very vanilla, and I used my stampin up designer frames embossing folder and labels collection framelits. I punched out the centre of the embossed oval with an oval punch, and stamped an image from Stampin up organic grace stamp set to set behind the resulting frame.a little linen twine and a stamped and cut out butterfly finished off this one.I have completed a card order today, and now I am starting to organise my january classes, which will be here before I know it! Pretty cuttlebug
Todays card is all cuttlebug. The cuttlebug folder used is folder that cuts and embosses at the same time, and I used a Stampin Up designer frames folder for the embossed oval behind, and an oval punch for the greeting. The cardstock is stampin up whisper white and pink pirouette, martha stewart butterfly punch, and flowers and ribbon to finish! Have received some orders today, so the next couple of days will be spent doing them – lucky they aren’t xmas as all that is packed away1 Til tomorrow….
My take on clean and simple!
All of you that visit my blog regularly or attend my cardmaking classes will know that I struggle with Clean and Simple.i say if you have the product lets use it!..but, now and again an idea comes that will only work if it’s clean and simple. such as this card. The colours are so rich and vibrant, and go so well together that not much else is needed. the list of Goodies used – Stampin Up cardstock – gumball green and Midnight muse, ( as well as a scrap of midnight muse ribbon), embossing folders – couture creations Pinstripe, stampin up designer frames folders. stampin up greetings stamp from perfect punches, oval punch, and a scrap of designer paper from stampin up comfort cafe. This afternoon I am packing away the christmas craft items, and sorting out my sadly neglected stack of cardstock and filing it all where it is supposed to live. This should restore some order to my craft room, and I will be back to creating tomorrow. Til tomorrow….
Tim Holtz Car stamp
This is the last of my new stamps, it’s a tim holtz stampers anonymous vintage car, and as with the previous stamps, gives a gloriously clear stamped image.I can’t remember what ink I stamped it with – most annoying because I would like to repeat it,if I stumble across it I will update this post! The background papers are Simple Stories Awesome. I can see a definite light at the end of the christmas card tunnel – 2 more very special xmas cards in boxes, then all the Christmas bits and pieces are going away, and I am ready to play with all my new stuff.I have been so patient!Til tomorrow….
Stamped train Card
I recently bought some male themed cards, and because of the ammount of Christmas cards i have had to make I really haven’t had time to experiment with them, but I did stamp each image to see how they turned out, so over the next couple of days you will see the rough workings! Todays stamp is a huge image – it takes up the whole card! the stamp is Stampers anonymous tim Holtz collection train. It stamps beautifully – lovely and crisp. I lightly coloured this one just with watercolour pencil, and die cut some corners using spellbinders lace doily accents dies. the ticket stamp is by Prima, and I distressed the edges, and added some bakers twine and string for texture.I stamped the image with stazon timber brown.Today is the end of the working week for me, so I am looking forward to 2 days off, and hopefully some time to create!
