A quick post today as I am all behind after spending an hour with Nathan chasing that little puppy all over the neighbourhood after she escaped from a hole in the fence which Nathan has now patched temporarily until Joe gets home and fixes it properly! The top card is just one of the images from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper ( graphic 45 Cafe Parisian) and the bottom card is a gatefold design – I like doing them because it’s easy to decorate the inside as well and then there is no “insert” dilemma! I found a scrap of yellow ribbon for the bow. Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 1 and 2…

Today we start a new series – Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian. I purchased a few sheets of the 12 x 12 of this collection and relied on fussy cutting. A lot!. The first card was just an easing in to get a feel for the papers ,so very simple. The cardstock and trim are from Stampin Up. The second card is much more interesting, with some inking of edges and layering fussy cutting and a bit of kindyglitz. This paper is so very colourful and busy it really doesn’t need much embellishing, just layering is enough. The whole time I was working on this series I wanted cake!I am easing back into the craft room – still no die cutting, but fussy cutting and punching is fine so I have rediscovered all my punches. Isn’t it funny how some things go in and out of vogue..let’s start a movement to bring back punches! They are so portable, quick ( no big machinery required) and with a bit of imagination you can get the same layered effect as dies! The cards Nathan and I photographed this morning will show you all how I re-employed my punches, but we wil finish this series first. Til tomorrow….
The last two Prima Sweet peppermint..

Here are my last two christmas cards using the Prima Sweet Peppermint range, I have lots left over so will return to it for next years cards! The top card is very vitage with lots of inking, distressing, lace, ribbon and bling, while I had a lot of fun with the bottom ( and final) card I made. The chipboard pieces just begged for googly eyes, and not much more to finish this one. Til tomorrow…..
Prima Sweet Peppermint 5 and 6..

We continue on with my series of cards made with Prima Sweet peppermint, and I enjoyed the chance to rummage around in my lace stash to make these ones! The gold tape I used is by kaisercraft, and I distressed edges and inked with Tea dye distress ink. My wonderful mum and sister did a lot of die cutting for me yesterday so that I could fulfill an order, so I have been enjoying the craft room today, in the peace and quiet as everyone else is off doing their own thing! Til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft Ooh La La 2..
My second Kaisercraft Ooh La La cards, still using the papers from the 6″ pad for the background layers – they were the leftover pieces from the first card..and the inner layer is from a sheet of 12 a 12 paper, as is the flower which I fussy cut.kaisercraft pearls, ribbon and a sentiment from the sheet in the class kit from Paper Flourish to finish.I am going to venture into the craft room this morning for an hour, no die cutting, but I will see if I can make at least one simple card ..it’s that or go crazy!! Til tomorrow…..
Kaisecraft Ooh La La..!.
This is the first card I made with kaisercraft Ooh La La paper collection. I love this collection and bought the Paper Flourish Class in a box because it had all the 12 x 12 papers as well as a lot of other bits and pieces that match in with the papers. I also purchased the 6″ pad and another pack of collectables to extend the set.I am so glad I did because it’s the only collection I have been able to use in my craft room while I am not able to use my shoulder. I haven’t needed to do any die cutting as there is enough in the collection to keep things interesting. Anyway this one uses papers from the 6″ pad,a sentiment and ric rac from the box,and some punched leaves and flowers from Kaisercraft and Green Tara.Til tomorrow….
Stampin Up Star of light
The third and Final Village card was one made with almost all Stampin Up supplies. The Stamp set is Star of light and I also used the matching die set. I stamped little stamps in blue sky ink before running the layer through a stampin up embossing folder. This one is a very simple card with very little embellishment. I have managed to make a few cards over the last couple of days, pacing myself and staying right away from the die cutting machine!Thank goodness for Kaisercraft ooh La La paper collection – no need for dies with this collection! Til tomorrow….
Card box card..
Today will be my last post for about a week, as I am off to visit my son in Sydney! It is also the last card I made using Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection. I have a you-tube clip ( see link on right hand side of blog) to show you the measurements for my box card, and I have just used the papers, inking around the edges of all the panels with tea dye distress ink, and added a bow. All the other pieces were fussy cut fromthe papers. I spent a little time in the craft room this morning, hoping to prepare my classes for december, but the shoulder is still not the best even with yesterdays cortosone injection, so I have had to give up, and will sit and rest it for a while with a good book! Til next week…
Kaisercraft Silent Night 3 and 4

The next 2 cards in my Kaisercraft Silent night series. The top cadr uses papers from the paper pad,and the bottom card has layers using 12 x 12 papers and both cards rely heavily on the images from the collectables pack. Everything is inked with tea dye distress ink and some bows to finish for texture.I am having a very busy week at work, but hope to get into the craft room for an hour this afternoon just for a litle relaxation! til tomorrow….
