Christmas All is Bright 7 and 8

My Minds Eye All is Bright papers, and stickers. For these two cards I have teamed them with Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant die, and after I had die cut the snowflakes I used the waste as a stencil on the card on the right hand side. inking through it to leave the snowflake pattern on the cardstock. I really liked this look, and it has made me look at my waste offcuts in a new light – you may see more of this technique on other cards!I also used doilies on these two cards, and a bit of bakers twine and seam binding. They are quite a modern look and will be good for the younger members of my family. The cardstock I used is Stampin Up – Crumbcake, cherry cobbler and Baja Breeze. I have found some graphic 45 christmas paper from last year (aptly called Christmas Past!) in my craft room – it hasn’t been cut into so I can only think that I bought it after I had made last years cards, anyway that’s what I am playing with today, and thoroughly enjoying myself – I do love Graphic 45! My Minds Eye All is Bright , cards 5 and 6. Here, the cardstock is Stampin Up Crumbcake, cherry cobbler, and Baja breeze. I used the papers, chipboard, and stickers on these two cards, and also used my Spellbinders 2012 snowflake penant die, and seam binding, bakers twine and an Ek success border punch.Tonight I plan to spend a little time in the craft room , I am working on a design, which is coming along nicely.. Til tomorrow….

All is Bright 3 and 4

A little bit vintage, a little bit shabby – My Minds Eye All is Bright paper and matching brad and stickers. I did these 6″ square because I couldn’t bear to cut down these gorgeous papers.I added some seam binding, bakers twine and a big flower I found in my “bits” box.The cardstock used was Stampin Up crumbcake and Cherry  Cobbler.I spent a lovely morning at paper Flourish working on my November lessons, and this afternoon I have just been playing around with some new bits and pieces – not really making anything – just seeing what happens when I don’t have a plan – not a lot it seems! Til tomorrow….

All is Bright 1 and 2

We are back to christmas cards, these ones are a little different – lets call them shabby chic with a contemporary twist! The paper is My Minds Eye All is Bright and I have also used the matching brads, buttons and stickers.I have made a lot of cards with these papers, the ideas kept coming, and it made a nice change from green and red! I used Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant dies on these cards too, just the right amount of modern design in these dies. Also used – lace, seam binding, a doily, and bakers twine.Thats it for today – til tomorrow….

Anna Griffin camilla 3 and 4

Two together for this post! Still with Anna Griffin Camilla collection, and matching die – cuts. The lattice is a die by Cheery Lyn designs, ( number 2) and I added ribbon, magnolia chandelier garland drops, hat pins, perfect pearls and kindy glitz to finish. I got sidetracked today and made a canvas art for my craft room door – will show it when Nathan photos it! Til tomorrow…

Anna Griffin Camilla number 2

Anna Griffin camilla collection – the rose die cut wasn’t coloured, so I coloured it using tim holtz distress inks and a finger dauber, or as one of my lovely mature ladies called it – a cardmakers thimble! – that tickled my fancy, and may be what I call them from now on!I just added some perfect pearls , and ribbon.Sat down today to plan out my November lesson – the ideas are not coming – I blame the paper I chose, I thought it would be easy to work with, but turns out it’s not, so may go back to the drawing board and choose something completely different! After tea I will give it another go, til tomorrow….

Vintage style

A short break from all things christmas to have a look at some new papers I purchased a couple of weeks ago – they are Anna Griffin from the Camilla collection, and I only bought a few sheets, not the whole range, but I did also purchase the matching die cut embellishments. These papers were gorgeous to work with – I love the soft colours, and for this card I turned on the vintage flavour by adding lots of ribbon, lace and bling. I used my spellbinders Dress form die and painted the die cut with Viva Metallic silver paint, and had great fun dressing it! In the craft room today I am making more christmas cards, I have decided to do one day xmas and one day non xmas – that keeps the ideas fresh! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 3 and 4

Here are 2 really simple cards using Kaisercraft 6′ pad – Turtle Dove and the matching collectables. I added ribbon, perfect pearls and kindyglitz to complete .I have been working on some canvas art today, but have packed it away to make some male themed cards – I have been avoiding them for a while, but have got some ideas to try out so I will spend a little time today to get them down on paper ( or should I say cardstock!) turtle dove 1 and 2

I have only made a few cards with this collection ( Kaisercraft Turtle Dove and matching collectables) so far, but thought I would show you what I have done so far…. For the first 2 I only used the 6″ pad, along with the matching collectables, and added a little ribbon, flower, and a christmas charm from a packet of Bo Bunny Rejoice buttons. A busy day today, but I am looking forward to spending a little time in the craft room tonight – doing what? I have not decided yet, we will see where my imagination takes me! Til tomorrow….
