Graphic 45 Elegance..

This weeks cards are made with Graphic 45 Elegance paper collection. I haven’t added anything except for a couple of fabric flowers on the top card, and a string of beads on the lower card. The paper does all the work in this beautiful collection, and I have enjoyed doing a little fussy cutting. This week has been a busy week with appointments now that we are out of lockdown, so I haven’t done as much crafting as I would like but this coming week looks like it will be a little more relaxing! Til next time, stay safe….

Mintay Precious Memories…

I have a few favourite paper companies, and Mintay by Karole is one of them. There is always lots of fussy cutting potential, ribbon, lace and fabric flowers always look good with it, and it layers beautifully. I have done all that with these four cards. I have made a couple of welcome baby cards and one in particular for a birthday ( that one is for my Great nephew). This week I have constructed my flip album ( woohoo!!) and I am just waiting for my photos to be printed and delivered so that I can start the really fun part..here is a couple of photos of the deconstruction ( of the accordian album) and then the reconstuction…

The Last 3 Tranquility cards for now…

Here are three more cards made with Uniquely Creative Tranquility paper collection and matching Creative cuts. I haven’t added anything else except for a little lace and bling on the first card, flowers on the second and a ribbon bow and bling on the third. This paper really doesn’t need anything else. I have put this paper away for now, as I have a build up of papers I haven’t used yet but I will definitely be returning to this one. We are in a strict lockdown here, and the weather has been stormy ,so I have been busy sorting out photos for an album I am planning to make. In my head its all done but now its a matter of actually creating it! I have never done this before so it’s certainly going to be interesting! Til next time, stay safe….

More Tranquility Cards

This weeks cards are made with Uniquely Creative Tranquility papers and matching creative cuts. I have done a little fussy cutting, but haven’t added too much extra..just a little bling as these beautiful papers don’t need much extra! This week I have been focusing on preparing a retirement village lesson, and it has been freezing here this week so a few days not moving far from the heater. My mind is preoccupied with making some sort of mini flip album, its all in my head at the moment, I will take photos as I start to construct it for a future post all going well! til next time, stay safe….

Folding Box Card

This week I made half a dozen folding box cards. These cards are terrific because they fold flat into a normal envelope, and are quite easy to make once you have the hang of the measurements. I have made a youtube video showing how to make, and all the measurements you need. You will find it on Youtube at Helens Card Designs. The papers I have used are from Uniquely Creative and the collection is called Tranquility. This paper was perfect as it has lots of images the right size for the boxes, and the mix of flowers, butterflies and birds allows a good choice to put in your box. I have had a busy couple of weeks.. I taught my retirement village ladies, just got that class in before we all went on restrictions again due to covid. Luckily so far we have avoided an outbreak in our state, but I certainly feel for the other states who are confined to home again. That is when our hobby becomes a sanity saver! the weather has certainly turned to winter, and the heater is running here a lot, but I do not complain about the cold weather and the nice drop of rain we have had. Til next time, stay safe…

Tranquility..

I love this months papers and assorted matching ephemera from Uniquely Creative. There are a few different styles you can make with this collection from the most fussy Vintage, to modern, and even clean and simple. As you can see, I have issues with clean and simple! I have made up a few kits with this range for my ladies at the retirement village , and I am looking forward to teaching them later this week. It will be the first time in over a year that I have been able to visit them, so great excitement! That has kept me busy this week, it’s been good to get back to half normal! Til next time, stay safe….

The final Uniquely Creative Outback Divine cards…

Here are the last five cards i made with Uniquely Creative Outback Divine paper collection and matching creative cuts. Most of the cards have no extra bits, just the paper and some fussy cutting. The Dingo card ( my sons birthday card) has a windmill die cut, and a couple of the cards have sprinkles of gold pearls, but that’s it. I’m sad I have finished working with this paper for now, I do have a little bit left but have put it away to work on something completely different for a while. The weather has cooled down, we are definitely enjoying autumn now, although it is still warm enough that we enjoyed a beach picnic for tea last night. For now though, its time for me to go cook tonights tea, so til next time….stay safe….

The third card is one I made for my mum and dads 65th weddiing anniversary which was a few days before our 40th. I do love the Australian flora and fauna in this range. Life is back to busy again, but i am going to make more of an effort to spend some time creating. it’s good for my health! Til next time, stay safe….

Uniquely Creative Something Blue part 2…

Another three cards made with Uniquely Creative Something Blue. All the bits and pieces on these cards were in the creative kit,but everything is also available individually on their website.
