Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe today, I only bought the 6″ pad and one 12 x 12 sheet for fussy cutting and had intended these cards for Fathers day cards, but decided I had enough of those, so these ones turned into birthday cards! The top card is lots of fussy cutting and the addition of a Tim Holtz spinner. The bottom card has a strip of hessian and a really old brad from the bottom of my bits drawer. Otherwise everything on this one is from the 6″ pad. A day off today, shopping done and I am off to the craft room . Til tomorrow….

Back to the beginning….

When I first started cardmaking I made 3D cards. This is before I discovered patterned paper! anyway, now and again I go back to my cardmaking roots and rediscover 3d sheets all over again. I love the act of sitting in front of the TV fussycutting the layers..the most relaxing thing ever, and it is always fun to try an old style with new tools such as the top card with the Kaisercraft Roses embossing folder and the bottom card with swipes of my clear wink of stella pen.I bought a few 3d sheets when I was at the craft fair for a very good price, so over the year you may see some more ideas from me as I create with them. Today i have plans to actually enjoy some quality time in the craft room – something that has been lacking in the past few weeks..til tomorrow….
Creating with Kays goodies..
I always enjoy going over to my sister Kays craft room, because she has so much more goodies than I do! ( I know!!), and she often says play with this and see what you come up with. On this particular day it was a Stampin Up die called Detailed Floral thinlet, and these were two of my creations. I used Night of navy and whisper white cardstock, and popped some gold card behind some of the detail on the card on the right, and followed the shape of the die cut on the card on the left for a bit of a border effect, white ribbon, touch of bling and a rose flower to finish off these rather elegant cards! Today I have been over at mums showing Mum and Kay how to watercolour with inks..this was necessary beacause Kay will be accompanying me on my cruise, and I am relying on her to help me teach my classes so she must know what we are doing!Anyway we had great fun,and now I am looking forward to spending an hour or so in the craft room after tea where I have a couple of orders to put together…til tomorrow….
Dinosaur cards…

It is my Great nephews second birthday soon and he is crazy for Dinosaurs. When I was at the craft fair I found a couple of sheets of patterned paper by Hobby Fun Co ltd which fit the bill nicely.I bought 2 sheets and managed to make 10 cards from them, some of which are shown here. No extra embellishments, just a bit of layering. Today i have my Mature Ladies class over at Paper Flourish and I am so looking forward to catching up with my ladies, so i must be off and get prepared! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 safari Adventure the last 2….

Here are the last two cards in my Safari Adventure ( graphic 45 ) series for now.For both cards i have used the 12 x 12 shet that has the card fronts printed on it, which makes for very quick and easy cards. I have added some kaisercraft chipboard pieces on both cards, and some fussy cut pieces and a punched border on the top card.Today is a lazy day in the craft room, after I have organised my teaching bag for my class on Thursday, which I am looking forward to very much! Til tomorrow….
graphic 45 safari adventure 5 and 6 ..birds..

two more bird cards made with graphic 45 Safari Adventure papers. The top card has a fair bit of fussy cutting, with a bow and bling, while the bottom card is so simple. I loved the background paper and didn’t want to cut into it or hide it so I just added a little tag in the bottom corner, with some fussy cut flowers layered onto that for a bit of height, and a kaisercraft starlet at the top of the tag.Busy in the craft room today doing some orders, and some more mens cards for Fathers day, the weather is lovely today so I will enjoy sitting out in the sun too! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 safari adventure 2…
Quick post today, Graphic 45 Safari Adventure.I layered a piece of the green patterned paper from the collection onto my card base, trimmed back the image, fussy cut a tag from another piece of the collection, and stuck on a button ( which looking at the photo appears to have slipped down a bit – will have to check that!Meanwhile imagine the button on the top of the tag!!)Til tomorrow….
My sisters birthday card..
Yesterday was my sister’s birthday, and I had made her card a little while ago, but recently I coloured this stamp ( stampin Up peacock ) with ink pads and an aquabrush, and then I purchased some of Stampin up ‘s new colour cardstock which went so well with the peacock I had just coloured that I changed my mind and gave her this card instead as she loves peacocks, and the card I prepared earlier is in a box ready for next year!Meanwhile today I taught a class over at paper Flourish, and we had a lovely time! I have done my shopping, and now I am off to prepare some tea! Til tomorrow…
Stampin Up Big Dayand It’s my Party…

two cards today made with Stampin up It’s my party designer paper and stamps from the Big Day stamp set, also by Stampin up.I coloured in the images with ink pads and an aquabrush on the top card, and fussy cut the cake. The washi tape and bakers twine are from the same collection. The balloon die cuts on the bottom card were die cut from a magazine freebie.Quick post today as are most in the middle of the week! Very cold here today, and so much rain!Til tomorrow….
Lawn Fawn ..lets polka..in the meadow…

Recently I picked up a 6″ paper pad, with no extra bits and pieces, because I loved the colours and design of the papers called lawn Fawn Lets Polka ( in the Meadow). the challenge for me was to come up with ideas with out relying on matching embellishments. The first card I made was the top pink card. I did some die cutting with a stampin up die set called dress ups, and added a flower and punched leaves, some washi tape I found in my stash which matched the papers, and of course a ribbon bow and bling. For the second card I got a little more creative, and after die cutting the dress used a heart punch upside down to cut the dress so that it turned into a jacket. I die cut the dress again from black cardstock and stuck the jacket on top,A doily, extra layering, flower and punched leaves and bling and this one ( my favourite) was finished. Day off today, but busy doing household things, looking forward to the weekend so that i can get into the craft room! Til tomorrow….
