This weeks cards are two I thoroughly enjoyed making! All sorts on these Prima Apricot Honey paper collection cards. I embossed cardstock ( a technique we don’t see enough of these days..it’s an easy way to add texture to your card) , lace, flowers, handmade resin frames, lace, and assorted die cuts. I have been busy this week putting card orders together and posting around the country.. Always exciting when an order comes through! It has been very cold and wet here ( we never complain about the rain!) so it’s been perfect for cardmaking and I have spent many happy hours at the craft desk. I have been practising my stamping.. next time I will show you some of those cards.. til next time , stay safe…

BoBunny Butterfly Kisses
Another group of cards I made while I was supposed to be cleaning up the craft room… What can I say, I am easily distracted. After I made the first card ( and these were quick cards…no hunting around for bits of lace and ribbon..everything was found where I was sitting..) I decide that this paper lent itself perfectly to the double zigzag shaped card, so the remaining three were done in that style. I have since filmed a youtube clip showing you how easy this card is to create. You should be able to find the link over there on the right…maybe click on the three little dots… Nathan has been playing with my site so you may notice a couple of upgrades! Uniquely Creative Winter Rose 1 and 2….
This weekend i received my new Uniquely Creative Winter Rose collection in the mail, so everything was put on hold while I fussycut elements, gathered matching cardstock and flowers and started to create! These are the very first two cards I made, using papers, creative cuts, and on the happy birthday card a glitter die cut using Uniquely Creative Flourish die, and a clear dome in the flower centre. The second card is all ready for dads fathers day card.. being scottish he will love the stag! I am off now to make more with this stunning paper collection! Til next time, stay safe…
Kaisercraft Cherry Tree lane..revisited..
As regulars to my blog all know, I have been having a huge tidy up of the craft room. I have done my best to stay on task, and I have three tubs of assorted paper collections that have to go. Now and again I have been distracted with some collections that I am ready to give up but just wanted to create with one last time. This is one of those collections that I stopped the work and sat and created with just what was to hand, so quite simple, just a ribbon bow, and a little lace added. The collection is a couple of years old…Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane. the top card is a double z fold card, and I know I have said it before..I am going to film a youtube video on how to do this fold. I have no excuse as we are pretty much confined to home just now, and aren”t we lucky that we are crafters and have lots of projects to keep us busy!Til next time, stay safe…..
Last of the Kaisercraft Ladylike…for now…
These are the last two kaisercraft Ladylike cards I have made. I have a little paper left which will be used in the fullness of time but I have used all the matching collectables etc.. The top card makes used of some fussy cut elements and I die cut an oval from an old book. It’s time for make do and craft…nothing is safe when I can’t spend money on craft stuff as we don’t know what is still ahead of us! There is a pretty metal butterfly added to that one, while the bottom card is the last of the collectables from the Ladylike collection, and I added some flowers and a foil die cut leaf. I have done a lot of crafting this week and I am so glad to have this hobby that allows me to retreat into a very special crafting space. Stay safe, til next time,
Mens Cards..
There comes a time in every cardmakers calender when they have to do mens cards and mine was this week when it was time to book my June craft fair spot. Mens cards are always last on the list! This year I had some new dies to use so made it a lot easier, and I had my very old stamps which are dug out every year, stamped and coloured and teamed up with newer purchases to refresh the look. I kept the general layout very plain cos blokes really don’t like fussy! Next Saturday I have our first crafty girls gathering of the year so I have been very busy organising that and I am so looking forward to catching up with all the girls. Til next time….
Uniquely Creative Urban garden 1 and 2..
I have thoroughly enjoyed creating with this paper collection from Uniquely Creative called Urban Garden because it is gorgeous and right up my alley with lots of fussy cutting but also because a good friend of mine designed it! She is an amazing artist and that shows through all the beautiful designs in the collection. I used a uniquely creative die on the top card called stitching rectangle frame die, and I used it more in the next three cards which I will post next time.I added little clear cabishons in the middle of the flowers, did some fussy cutting and that was it for that one. The second card is lots of layering with some Stampin Up cardstock and patterned paper.
Yesterday I spent an enjoyable afternoon playing with my new Uniqolour water markers. They are also by Uniquely Creative, are really easy to use and I now have some images ready to turn into cards today! Til next time…..
More Graphic 45 Floral Shoppe..
Two more pretty cards made with graphic 45 Floral shoppe, and the journalling cards that were brought out with this collection. I have done a little fussy cutting, some raising of elements with foam tape, and added lace, ribbon and flowers. This week has been a horrendously hot and humid week, no-one had energy for anything, so not a lot done in the way of crafting. The humidity gets into the paper and everything feels damp! This week is promising to be a little cooler so normal activities can resume!Til next time…..
Graphic 45 Floral Shoppe..
Todays two cards are made with Graphic 45 Floral Shoppe.. lots of fussy cutting and a few pretty flowers .. so easy to work with these pretty papers. This week is still the ongoing job of cleaning out the craft room, I have found the rythmn now… a couple of hours of sorting out papers and a reward of an hour of crafting with found goodies! In between of course I am spending a little time coming up with new classes for my village ladies. Til next time….
Uniquely creative Wise and Free 3 and 4..
I was sitting in the craft room doing some die cutting, but the heat was too much..it’s 10:30 am here and already 32C and more than a little bit humid, so I have moved to a cooler part of the house.Todays cards continue our series of Uniquely creative paper collection, matching Creative cuts, and assorted pretty bling . The owls on the top card have little clear resin domes over their eyes, and i have inked all my edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink. There is also a chipboard feather on the top card which I painted with Nuvo platinum mousse. i am now revising my crafty plans for today, I think I will stamp out some images, dig out my copics and sit under the air con vent! Til next time….
