Kaisercraft Cherry Tree lane 12 and 13…

IMG_7081 (Medium)IMG_7083 (Medium)Yes we are back to Kaisercraft Cherry Tree lane and these are two cards that I did for a lesson. The top card has and oval die cut from the front of the card, and the back ( or inner panel) is decorated so that the bird panel ( from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper) shows through the die cut hole. The front panel is decorated with some fussy cut flowers and ribbon. The second card uses the oval we die cut from the first card – no waste here..with a stamped sentiment, some more fussy cutting and another ribbon bow. The backgroung layer was trimmed from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper, making sure I had the bird positioned where I wanted him. Nathan and I have spent this morning photo-ing my recent makes, and now I have to go and put inserts in all of them, a most tediuos job but it has to be done! til tomorrow…..

Hey Chick…a fun card..

IMG_7096 (Medium) A stamped and coloured card today, made with a fun stamp set from Stampin Up called Hey Chick. I stamped the chickens onto watercolour card, and stamped an extra one on a scrap. Coloured with ink pads and an aquabrush, coloured the extra one and fussy cut it out and popped it on the card with 3d foam pads. I punched a tag and stamped with the sentiment ( which was in the stamp set and found some prima wooden alpha blocks to finish, although I did toss up whether to die cut the U R letters which would have worked too. This was just a very quick make to try out the stamps but I love the chickens! Today is a day off, so i have been catching up on computer related tasks, and ruminating….Apparently my classes on the cruise were very popular and I have been asked if I want to do it all over again next year. I have to check with a few people…my boss, and my right hand sister helper, but I am pretty sure I will be cruising again next year! Yay! til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Petal Lane 5…

IMG_7090 (Medium) This is the last in my Petal Lane ( bo bunny) series for now,and it was a really simple card to make. The background piece was from the 12 x 12 card fronts sheet and I layered a piece of the pink patterned paper on top as I thought the black centre was too harsh for the little doll I stuck on the front. These little dolls are from our local cheap shop and they make great toppers for little girl cards. It has been very hot here today, (37C) so I have been taking things a little slowly and even managed to do some “me” crafting in the craft room as I have now organised all my classes for the next 2 months! Ahh! Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny petal lane 3,4..

IMG_7094 (Medium)IMG_7092 (Medium)Todays cards are still made from the Bo Bunny petal lane range of papers, I have always been partial to pink and lemon together so I do really like this paper, so much so that one of my May classes use it!The top card has a tag and a couple of bits from the noteworthys pack in the same range, and the hearts are a die cut by kaisercraft, I used only a little bit of the frame and the inner hearts on this card, so I still have lots left over to use on another card. The bottom card uses apiece of the 12 x 12 paper with the bike image on it, a stampin Up sentiment stamp and honestly just some bits that were on my desk. Til tomorrow…..

Bo Bunny Petal lane 1 and 2..

IMG_7089 (Medium)IMG_7093 (Medium)Sorry I have been missing for a few days, I have been settling into my new job and setting up a new routine, but I have a day off today so thought i would catch up on some crafting! We start a new group of cards today, made with Bo Bunny 12 x 12 papers and their matching collectables ( which I think Bo Bunny call Notables …should have paid attention to that!) The top card makes good use of the flag shaped ones, I layered them, added some black bling and stamped a vertical sentiment ( one of my new stampin up stamps). The bottom card focuses more on the background paper with a gorgeous flower collectable, some black sequins, bling, ribbon bow and a sentiment cut from one of the 12 x 12 papers.I will be back tomorrow with some more from this lovely collection, meantime I am off to the craft room! til tomorrow….

simple male card idea

IMG_2740 (Medium)Todays card is one I taught yesterday in my class at Paper Flourish. It is a very simple one that doesn’t require a lot of product. I used two different sized fish tail dies ( kaisercraft) to make the shirt, and ran the larger piece through a Couture Creations pinstripe embossing folder. The bow tie was made with a template, but I do have a Stampin up punch that would have done the trick and you can also get dies ( I saw a paper rose one) that would also work.I just had to add three pearls to finish this quick and easy design.Quick post today as I can smell my cake baking in the oven – might be time to take it out! til tomorrow….

The last two Kaisercraft Cherry tree Lane cards

img_2736-mediumimg_2737-mediumThis is my last blog for a couple a weeks while I go on my Cruise. We leave tomorrow so today has been a mad rush to finish packing, and do some shopping for the menfolk ( they have their menu plan written out so they are quite organised!). Today is a good day to finish up with my Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane collection. I have enjoyed making with this collection and I do still have some left, so we will revisit it at some stage. The top card is layers of papers from the 6″ pad, with a collectable , lace, ribbon and a hat pin ( by Prima). the lower card  has a die cut Ornate circle ( paper rose) and a collectable. That’s all from me for now, see you all in 2 weeks!

Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 9…

img_2735-mediumMost of the previous cards made with this collection ( Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane) were made with the blue tones of paper, now we have a few made with the green tones. The cardstock is Stampin Up, as is the pleated ribbon, and the background paper is from the 6″ pad. The focus is on a card from the pull apart sheet, and I added a prima and green tara flower and some punched leaves.Oh, and some lace! I am officially on holidays, and have spent today stewing pears, we have an abundance of them so the freezer will be quite full. Pear crumble all winter! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 8

img_2733-medium-2Todays Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane card is a side stepper card. I have done a You-tube clip on how to measure and cut/fold this style of card, on the right hand side bar of the blog you will see You-tube…click on that and you will see my you-tube channel with this and many other little clips I have done.Meanwhile for this one I have used… one of the pull apart cards  from the 12 x 12 sheet,a couple of the matching collectable, prima and green tara flowers, kaisercraft leaf die,a small piece of a border from the sticker sheet, and a small piece of the dotty paper ( 12 x 12). I also did some fussy cutting for the stepper part of the card. The big news here is that I have left my job at kmart Aust.Yesterday was my last day after 36 years, and my workmates gave me a lovely send off. When I return from the cruise I will be working at Paper Flourish, the store where I have been teaching for 6 1/2 years. I will be surounded with crafty goodness! How will I contain myself? I am so looking forward to this new chapter! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 4..

img_2730-mediumThe fourth card in my Cherry Tree lane series . Still working with the blue tones , this one has a collectable, and a piece from the pull apart sheet ( A little image in the left hand corner ) and a layering piece from the 6″ pad. The cardstock is from Stampin Up, and I used some very dainty lace, ribbon and a few pearls.Another lovely cool day here, and after our roast lunch am packing all the cruise crafty stuff to make sure my suitcase is big enough! til tomorrow….
